Abstract

This study discusses the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) through curriculum management at SMA Negeri 1 Kandat to improve students' competency and Pancasila character formation. P5 is part of the Independent Curriculum which aims to link educational theory with real-world situations. Through a qualitative approach with a case study type, this study explores the strategies for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the implementation of the Independent Learning curriculum. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that P5-based character formation succeeded in creating space for students to develop character and improve skills in accordance with Pancasila values. The P5 project encouraged collaboration between teachers and increased student involvement in the learning process. In conclusion, this curriculum management strategy contributed to the development of independent curriculum management in project-based high schools and succeeded in instilling the character of Pancasila student profiles.

Abstract

Many Islamic educational institutions face the challenge of translating the noble values of prophetic leadership into effective operational strategies. This research addresses this gap by analyzing the strengthening model of prophetic leadership in building an excellent organizational culture at Al-Munawwarah Islamic Elementary School. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this study finds that leadership effectiveness is not merely conceptual but is manifested in specific policies. Among these are the systematic integration of Islamic values into the national curriculum, the implementation of consistent disciplinary rules for teachers and students, such as the use of a public tardiness list, and the development of a collaborative culture through intensive vision communication and motivation. As a result, an educational environment that measurably supports the formation of students' moral character is established. This study offers a practical contribution in the form of an implementable framework, demonstrating how prophetic leadership principles can be translated into tangible programs and policies, making it replicable for other educational institutions.

Abstract

Administrative staff play a crucial role as a supporting pillar for educational quality, yet their performance evaluation is often overlooked. This qualitative study aims to analyze the purpose and inhibiting factors of administrative staff performance evaluation at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ziyadatut Taqwa, utilizing in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that performance evaluation is perceived not as a routine procedure, but as a fundamental strategic instrument to ensure the smooth functioning of the learning ecosystem and uphold educational quality. However, its implementation is hampered by an interlocking web of systemic problems, including a human resource capacity gap (lack of training and technology), structural weaknesses (the absence of a standardized system and poor coordination), and cultural-psychological barriers (high workload and low motivation). This study concludes that a significant gap exists between the ideal vision of evaluation and its implementation reality. A holistic approach is necessary to transform the evaluation process from a formalistic burden into an authentic and functional tool for quality development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategic management in creating an environmentally conscious and cultured school at SMPN 2 Larangan. With a descriptive qualitative approach, we collected data through interview, observation, and documentation methods. Data sources consisted of the principal, teachers, educators, and students. To analyze the data, this study used the Miles and Huberman model which involved three stages: data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of this study indicate that SMPN 2 Larangan has implemented environmental strategic management through three main steps, namely: strategy formulation, implementation, and evaluation. The strategy formulation process is carried out by integrating environmental aspects into the school's vision, mission, and curriculum. The formation of the Adiwiyata team involving 16 working groups (Pokja) and 76 students as environmental cadres is the key to the strategy. The implementation of the program includes various innovative initiatives such as water and energy conservation, waste management, plant maintenance, and development of environmentally based products. The school has also revamped the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) so that each subject can educate students about the importance of protecting the environment. A participatory approach involving all stakeholders is a very important success factor. Strategy evaluation is carried out periodically every three months by a special team, with success indicators that are not only seen from an administrative perspective, but also from a real impact on environmental and behavioral changes. The peak of success is marked by the achievement of the Adiwiyata Mandiri predicate and recognition as a plastic waste-free zone.

Abstract

This study examines human resource management (HRM) in enhancing teacher professionalism at Pondok Pesantren Almunawwaroh Tahfiz Walhadist Sungai Misang. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, the research reveals that teacher professionalism encompasses not only pedagogical competence but also moral integrity, scholarly commitment, and multifaceted roles as educators, spiritual mentors, and community leaders. The pesantren’s HRM system integrates Islamic values into planning, morally grounded recruitment, continuous training, multi-source performance evaluation, and genuine support for teacher well-being, despite financial constraints. Enabling factors include visionary leadership, a spiritually rooted learning culture, and institutional commitment to professional development. Key challenges involve limited funding, traditional management practices, and insufficient external collaboration. The pesantren’s success in producing graduates who excel academically while demonstrating spiritual maturity underscores how HRM aligned with Islamic principles; such as tazkiyah (self-purification), ikhlas (sincerity), and tawakkul (trust in God) can foster holistic education. These insights offer valuable lessons for both religious and mainstream educational institutions on harmonising professional standards with ethical and spiritual foundations

Abstract

This article aims to describe the implementation of prophetic leadership at Al-Waroqot High School, Pamekasan, through a Living Qur'an and Hadith approach. Employing a qualitative method with a case study design, this research gathered data through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentary studies. The collected data were analyzed interactively through three stages: data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that prophetic leadership is implemented by making the Qur'an and Hadith a living primary foundation within the school's culture. This practice is manifested through the exemplary roles of leaders and teachers who prioritize the values of justice and empathy, and it is integrated into the curriculum and extracurricular activities. This implementation effectively creates a harmonious and inclusive learning environment, successfully fostering student character with integrity and creativity. This study concludes that a genuinely lived model of prophetic leadership can serve as an inspiration for other Islamic educational institutions in shaping future leaders.

Abstract

Tahfidz Al-Qur'an education in Indonesia is rapidly growing, yet it often overlooks the internalization of values in favor of memorization quantity. This study aims to analyze the Tahfidz Al-Qur'an curriculum development model at Ma’had Al-Ulya from an axiological perspective to uncover its fundamental underlying values. Using a descriptive-exploratory qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the applied curriculum model is an action research model, initiated as a solution to the decline in student interest. Axiological analysis identifies dominant values such as pragmatism, competition, balance, and adaptability. A significant tension was found between the extrinsic motivation driven by competition and the low intrinsic motivation (love for the Qur'an) which acts as an inhibiting factor. This study concludes that while effective, the model can be enhanced by strengthening intrinsic values like mahabbah (love) and ta'awun (mutual help) to create a more holistic Tahfidz education

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Undang-Undang Nomor 18 Tahun 2019 tersebut di Pesantren Al Barokah Tegalrejo. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mengkaji berbagai aspek implementasi Undang-Undang, mulai dari penyelenggaraan hingga kemandirian pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dalam proses pengumpulan data dan analisisnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pondok Pesantren Al Barokah telah melaksanakan fungsinya dengan baik dan telah mencapai kemandirian secara ekonomi dengan dibuktikan adanya unit usaha yang dimiliki pesantren. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa implementasi Undang-Undang di Pesantren Al Barokah sudah baik, tetapi masih dihadapkan hambatan seperti miskomunikasi dengan warga maupun pihak yang akan bekerja sama. Hasil analisis akan disintesis menjadi pemahaman yang komprehensif sehingga memberikan gambaran yang jelas tentang implementasi pada setiap bab dalam undang-undang, mulai dari pendirian dan penyelenggaraan pesantren, pengelolaan data, pendanaan, hingga kerja sama. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi pihak-pihak terkait dalam upaya meningkatkan efektivitas implementasi Undang-Undang Pesantren di masa mendatang.

Abstract

School-Based Management (SBM) at SMP Negeri 3 Banguntapan features innovations and improvements in learning quality centered on students' needs.This study examines the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) at SMP Negeri 3 Banguntapan in improving the quality of learning.This study employs a descriptive qualitative method involving the principal, teachers, students, and the school committee as research subjects.The research results indicate that SBM provides schools with autonomy to manage resources, curriculum, facilities, and funding effectively and efficiently.This implementation enhances teacher competencies, enriches teaching methods, and fosters an adaptive and inclusive learning environment.In addition, the integration of local cultural values into the curriculum strengthens students' identity and fosters collaborative relationships between the school and the community.However, there are several challenges, such as a lack of understanding of the SBM concept, limited human resources, and low community participation.For optimal success, support from the government, further training, and active collaboration from all stakeholders are necessary.This study affirms that SBM has great potential to improve the quality of education through participatory and innovative management.

Abstract

The role of management in Guidance and Counseling institutions is absolutely necessary. In various Islamic educational institutions, it seems that not all of them have paid attention to the management of Guidance and Counseling, this is as seen from the results of researchers' observations at the MAN 4 Aceh Besar Educational institution, where it appears that although it has had a Guidance and Counseling institution and organization, it has not fully implemented and carried out the management function correctly. Based on these problems, the researcher is interested in exploring more deeply about how the pattern of implementation of Guidance and Counseling management in the institution. The research method used is descriptive analysis research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation and documentation. the study it was found that MAN 4 Aceh Besar has implemented management functions in the form of planning, organizing, actuating and controlling, but it appears that the implementation of these functions has not been optimal. However, there are some peculiarities in practice, such as appreciation, deliberation, mutual help, silaturrahmi, and so on. The benefit this research is have an alternative to practice in management counselling in Madrasah.
