Abstract

Many high school students face difficulties in understanding SNBT quantitative knowledge concepts, particularly HOTS questions. This is worsened by limited access to quality learning resources and educational disparities across regions. This community service provides SNBT quantitative knowledge learning through YouTube as an open and accessible medium. Eight instructional videos covering sequences, exponents, numbers, root forms, geometric shapes, statistics, probability, and functions were created using Zoom and published on Faul Mathematics YouTube channel. Results showed 500+ viewers with positive interactions. This demonstrates YouTube-based learning effectively equalizes access to quality mathematics education and supports students' SNBT preparation comprehensively and sustainably.

Abstract

The advancement of robotics technology enables project based instructional media to be integrated into secondary education as a means to enhance technological literacy and problem solving skills among students. This community engagement program aimed to enhance the competencies of electronics subject teachers at SMP BPK PENABUR Jakarta through training on the design and implementation of basic Arduino based robotic systems. The training was conducted onsite using a hands-on approach and featured two applied projects: an ultrasonic based smart trash bin and a conveyor based automatic object selector. Participants gained practical experience in sensor introduction, simple block programming, and system functionality testing. Evaluation results indicated that the training was positively received and considered relevant to the school’s instructional needs in integrating technology into learning modules. This program contributed to improving teachers readiness to implement applied robotics learning and to strengthening STEM literacy foundations at the secondary education level.

Abstract

Bernardus Foundation, an educational institution under the Archdiocese of Semarang, is committed to developing students’ entrepreneurial skills at Stella Duce Bambanglipuro Bantul High School in Ganjuran, Yogyakarta. Given the challenging employment situation, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset is essential to prepare students for the workforce and enable them to create business opportunities. Entrepreneurial character development also helps shape independent, creative, and adaptive individuals. This community service activity aimed to enhance students’ understanding of entrepreneurship through interactive discussions, simulations, and business idea presentation training. The program was implemented for students in grades X, XI, and XII, focusing on identifying business opportunities and developing marketing strategies based on local economic conditions. Mentoring sessions were conducted to ensure participants could understand and apply entrepreneurial concepts in real-life contexts. The results demonstrated high student enthusiasm and improved understanding of entrepreneurship as a promising career path. Through strengthened entrepreneurial awareness and motivation, students are expected to develop greater self-reliance and readiness for future challenges. Furthermore, this initiative is expected to contribute to economic development by encouraging entrepreneurship based on local potential.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the implementation of student internship activities at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Timor University. One of the locations for student internship is in Bonibais Village, Laenmanen District, Malaka Regency. This activity was carried out based on several stages, including planning and mapping problems, field observations, implementation of field internships, and evaluation of student internship activities. The results of the activities were the implementation of all work programs designed by the Student Internship Team, namely administrative arrangement, population data collection, local potential data collection, and arrangement of the Bonibais village office environment. From the results of this activity, it was recommended to the Bonibais Village government to utilize existing local potential to improve the community's economy

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out at the Gandusari Hijau Farmers Group, Bandongan District, Magelang Regency. The purpose of the service was to increase the capacity of farmers in terms of understanding and technical skills in vegetative propagation of non-endemic plants through shoot cuttings. The main problem partners faced was a low level of vegetative propagation skills. The first training session focused on the issue of propagating non-endemic plants. The second training session covered vegetative propagation practices using shoot-cutting techniques, with the Growthone application to stimulate root growth. The types of plants used as cutting materials were Melaleuca cajuputi, Eucalyptus urophylla, and forest rambutan (Saninten). Based on the results of the initial survey, the aspect of general knowledge about Eucalyptus had the highest score (43.06%). The aspect of knowledge about propagation materials and tools had the lowest score (37.04%). The aspects of technical skills in shoot cuttings, application, and development were obtained at 39.81% and 38.89%. The results of this community service activity have begun to be applied by the Gandusari Hijau Farmers Group for the propagation of other types of non-endemic plants, increasing technical skills for independent and sustainable propagation of shoot cuttings.

Abstract

The graphic design workshop using Figma for students of SMP Stella Duce 1 Yogyakarta was conducted to enhance students’ digital literacy, creativity, and critical thinking skills in producing digital design works. This program was initiated due to students’ limited ability in digital design and the limited use of digital learning media at school. The workshop aimed to provide students with an understanding of basic graphic design principles and technical skills in using Figma as a collaborative design platform. The method included needs analysis, module development, and hands-on training in the computer laboratory through material presentation, mini-challenges, and guided practice in creating digital posters. The results showed that students were able to follow the training flow and successfully produced simple digital poster designs. Evaluation using online questionnaires completed by 17 participants indicated positive responses, with 14 participants (82.4%) stating that the workshop was beneficial and 15 participants (88.2%) affirming that the activity aligned with the school’s needs. The program is concluded to be effective in strengthening students’ digital literacy and design skills, although longer sessions are recommended to optimize practice and project completion.

Abstract

Adolescence is a critical phase in the life cycle that requires access to optimal health services. However, Padukuhan Tonalan lacked youth-based health services, resulting in very minimal health understanding among adolescents. Objective: This community service aims to establish the “SEMANGKA” Youth Health Post and train youth health cadres to empower health services in the area. Method: The team utilized audio-visual education methods, five-step system training, and independent simulation mentoring for 17 selected youth cadres. Results: The results showed a 10% increase in average cadre knowledge, with a final score reaching 93%. The lounching of the “SEMANGKA” Youth Health Post successfully facilitated cadre independence in providing sustainable promotive and preventive health services for their peers. Conclusion: Establishing this health platform effectively empowers adolescents as change agents in improving public health status at the community level. Keywords: Health Empowerment; Health Cadres; Youth Health Post; youth health cadres     Abstrak Pendahuluan: Masa remaja merupakan fase kritis dalam siklus kehidupan yang memerlukan akses pelayanan kesehatan yang optimal. Namun, Padukuhan Tonalan belum memiliki layanan kesehatan berbasis remaja sehingga pemahaman mengenai kesehatan masih sangat minim. Tujuan: Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membentuk Posyandu Remaja “SEMANGKA“ dan melatih kader kesehatan remaja sebagai upaya pemberdayaan pelayanan kesehatan di wilayah tersebut. Metode: Tim pengabdi menggunakan metode edukasi audio-visual, pelatihan sistem lima langkah, serta pendampingan simulasi mandiri kepada 17 kader remaja pilihan. Hasil: Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata pengetahuan kader sebesar 10% dengan skor akhir mencapai 93%. Peresmian Posyandu “SEMANGKA“ berhasil memfasilitasi kemandirian kader dalam memberikan pelayanan kesehatan promotif dan preventif secara berkelanjutan bagi rekan sebaya. Kesimpulan: Pembentukan wadah kesehatan ini efektif memberdayakan remaja sebagai agen perubahan dalam meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat di tingkat komunitas. Abstract

In the era of digital transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly used to support organizational management and service delivery across sectors, including religious institutions. Gereja Kristen Jawa (GKJ) Condongcatur, a local church community in Yogyakarta, has basic digital infrastructure but continues to face challenges such as limited AI literacy, fragmented technology use, and insufficient innovation in event management and administrative processes. To address these issues, we implemented an eight-week community service program involving structured training and mentoring on AI tools for digital event management and church ministry. The program involved 12 participants, consisting of church board members and representative congregants, and included three main sessions: an introduction to AI and its potential applications in church ministry; hands-on Workshops on digital content creation using ChatGPT and Canva AI; and AI-based event management and follow-up planning. Evaluation was conducted through a questionnaire distributed to all participants. The results showed that 98% of respondents provided positive feedback across all program stages. These findings demonstrate that the program delivered significant benefits in terms of material relevance and implementation effectiveness. Overall, AI-based training and mentoring can enhance digital literacy and support sustainable digital transformation in church ministry.

Abstract

The provision of supporting tourism facilities has become an urgent need for Kiringan Herbal Tourism Village, which has been officially developed since 2016. In addition to basic amenities such as parking areas, herbal shops, integrated toilets and meeting spaces, and a family medicinal plant garden (TOGA), the site’s natural assets—dense vegetation and a fast-flowing river—offer strong potential for nature- and river-based herbal tourism. The introduction of viewing platforms, a river dock, and a rafting storage facility is proposed to strengthen the integrated herbal and ecotourism character of Kiringan Hamlet. A therapeutic design approach is adopted to enhance the herbal tourism experience by fostering health-oriented, tranquil, and holistic restorative activities. The community-owned site is envisioned as a healing environment, combining permanent and semi-permanent structures arranged with high environmental sensitivity. Design strategies emphasize minimal tree cutting, maximized visual connections to the river, vegetation, and TOGA garden, and the preservation of distinctive natural soundscapes that reinforce the site’s therapeutic identity.

Abstract

Sanggar Budaya Anak Nareswari merupakan mitra pengabdian yang bergerak dalam kriya Topeng Malangan. dipusatkan pada pengenalan karakter Topeng Malangan, praktik pembuatan topeng dari desain hingga finishing dan penguatan nilai-nilai budaya Panji–Sekartaji. Akar permasalahan saat ini yaitu sudut pandang masyarakat masih menganggap kaum difabel tidak setara dengan masyarakat pada umumnya dan sering sekali kaum difabel merasa minder, dan sering kali kaum difabel terkena bullying di masyarakat  karena hal ini, Dampak dari permasalahan terhadap kegiatan ini yaitu kurangnya kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap komunitas ini, pandangan masyarkat menggap adanya eksploitasi terhadap kaum difabel, Solusi Program pelatihan pembuatan topeng malangan oleh peserta difabel dimana dibagi penugasan membuat karakter jenis topeng berfokus pada standar difabel adanya pameran Augmented Reality berupa topeng malangan dan sejarahnya, Metode Pelaksanaan program dimulai dari analisis kondisi mitra untuk menyamakan harapan dan mengundang partisipasi. Selanjutnya dilakukan tahapan pelatihan yang mencakup pengenalan karakter Topeng Malangan, desain motif, serta teknik transfer gambar ke kayu, berupa promosi melalui website, pemasaran ekspor, dan penggunaan Quality Control. Setelah itu, dilakukan pendampingan dan evaluasi untuk memonitor kesiapan pasar global, sekaligus menyelenggarakan pameran karya pada aspek teknologi luaran yang telah dicapai yaitu telah membuat SOP Topeng malangan berbasis website dan Augmented Reality topeng malangan berbasis text to speech
