Abstract

This research aims to change the traditional learning paradigm system using the lecture method and sitting quietly and listening passively by students. Teachers must make updates to the learning process according to students' needs. Constructivism emphasizes the formation of students' knowledge actively and independently in solving problems and giving meaning to what is being studied. Indonesian language learning must be designed according to the criteria needed to provide an effective contribution to high school level students. The jigsaw method in learning Indonesian is designed to influence interaction patterns between students and teachers. Learning by applying a constructivist approach using the jigsaw method can make students more confident in developing their potential. So that teaching and learning activities are not completely controlled by the teacher in the learning process. Students can create learning experiences through their own observations and experiences. Students will be more enthusiastic and have high motivation to learn due to their curiosity about what they are studying. It is important for teachers to understand this application in order to facilitate effective learning.

Abstract

This study was conducted based on the problems that occurred in group B of early childhood children who were categorized as having low child independence. Therefore, this study aims to increase the independence of children in group B. The method that is considered to be able to provide an increase in children's independence is by using role play. This study uses a classroom action research method conducted at RA Baitun Najah. Data collection is carried out through observation by paying attention to the observation indicators of children's independence. The results of this study using the role play method were carried out in two cycles, so that the role play method was carried out by paying attention to the conditions of children in group B of RA Baitun Najah. So that when this learning cycle was carried out as many as two cycles, it can be concluded that the use of the role play method provided a significant increase in the effect of Children's Independence in Pre-Cycle: 38.5%, Cycle I: 64.25%, Cycle II: 84.75%.

Abstract

The practice of poetry reading skills of eighth grade students based on aspects of pauses, pronunciation, intonation and expression and factors that influence poetry reading skills in students. This study aims to determine how the results of poetry reading skills practice in eighth grade students and factors that influence students' poetry reading skills. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, interviews, documentation, and online data searches. The practice of reading poetry students got the highest score in the pause aspect with an average score of 77.3 and the lowest average score in the expression aspect, namely 36 because students lack understanding in the expression aspect. This is influenced by several factors, namely internal factors and external factors through the results of a questionnaire given to 25 students containing 10 statements, especially in terms of self-confidence, understanding the meaning of poetry, interest, and environmental support shown by a high percentage of "inappropriate" answers to several important statements, such as self-confidence when performing in front of the class (60%), the habit of practicing at home (44%), understanding the meaning of poetry (48%), and low school environmental support (56%). Overall, improvements are needed in students' internal aspects (interest, motivation, and reading habits) and external aspects (support from teachers, friends, and the school environment) to support optimal poetry reading skills.

Abstract

This study aims to improve early childhood science skills through the application of the inquiry-based learning method. Science skills are important from an early age because they can foster curiosity, critical thinking abilities, and scientific attitudes in children. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were 15 children in Group B at one early childhood education institution RA Miftahul Khoirot. The instrument used was a science skills observation sheet covering the abilities to observe, ask questions, and draw conclusions. The results showed a significant improvement in children’s science skills. In the pre-cycle stage, the children’s science skills only reached 19%. After the application of the inquiry method in cycle I, the skills increased to 79%. Furthermore, in cycle II, the children’s science skills reached 89%. This improvement demonstrates that through simple exploratory activities such as observing changes in objects, conducting color-mixing experiments, and planting mung beans, children became more active in asking questions, confident in expressing opinions, and able to draw simple conclusions. Thus, it can be concluded that the inquiry-based learning method is effective in enhancing early childhood science skills. This method provides opportunities for children to learn actively, enjoyably, and meaningfully through direct experiences. In addition to improving cognitive aspects, the implementation of the inquiry method also encourages the development of scientific attitudes such as curiosity, cooperation, and thoroughness, which are essential for children’s growth and development

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan media canva dalam pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur di kelas X Asisten Keperawatan SMKS 3 Idhata Curup. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui instrumen tes menulis teks prosedur dan dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk mengetahui kecenderungan umum serta tingkat kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks prosedur setelah pembelajaran berlangsung. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui deskriptif kuantitatif dan kemudian diinterpretasikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas X Asisten Keperawatan SMKS 3 Idhata Curup berada pada kategori Baik Sekali. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh perolehan persentase sebesar 96,16%, yang jika dikonsultasikan pada kriteria skala empat termasuk dalam interval 86%–100%, sehingga mencerminkan tingkat penguasaan yang sangat baik. Selain itu, penerapan media digital Canva dalam pembelajaran menulis teks prosedur juga memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan siswa. Persentase capaian sebesar 90,63% menempatkan hasil tersebut pada kategori Baik Sekali dalam kriteria skala empat. Dengan demikian, dapat ditegaskan bahwa penggunaan media digital Canva merupakan salah satu alternatif yang efektif dan relevan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa2kelas X2 Asisten Keperawatan di SMKS 3 Idhata Curup. Saran sebagai bahan pertimbangan, meskipun kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa telah berada pada2 kategori baik sekali, guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia diharapkan tetap terus mengasah kemampuan tersebut melalui pemberian berbagai latihan2 menulis secara berkesinambungan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of students’ learning process and outcomes through the use of the Learning Cycle model. The subjects of this research are the students of class IX A at SMP N 22 Rejang Lebong, consisting of 32 students. The research was conducted at SMP N 22 Rejang Lebong in February 2025. The data collection technique used in this study is a performance test, which aims to measure the skills, knowledge, and abilities possessed by individuals or groups related to speaking activities. The instruments used in this study consist of teacher and student observation sheets. The data analysis technique employed in this research is descriptive data analysis. Abstrak Tujuan dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan proses dan hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran learning cycle. Subjek Penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas kelas IX A SMP N 22 Rejang Lebong dengan jumlah siswa 32 orang. Tempat penelitian ini dilaksanakan di sekolah SMP N 22 Rejang Lebong. waktu penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan februari 2025. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini berupa tes unjuk kerja yang digunakan untuk mengukur keterampilan, pengetahuan, kemampuan bakat yang dimiliki oleh individu atau kelompok tentang kegiatan berbicara. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari lembar observasi guru dan siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis data deskriptif .

Abstract

This research aims to develop an Integrated Inquiry Model with the SQ3R Strategy to improve the reading comprehension skills of elementary school students. The background of this research stems from the low ability of fifth-grade students to understand informative and narrative texts, characterised by difficulties in finding main ideas, identifying detailed information, and drawing conclusions. The research was conducted in three elementary schools in Jepara Regency, namely Rogomulyo 01 State Elementary School, Rogomulyo 02 State Elementary School, and Boloagung 02 State Elementary School, involving fourth-grade students through a research and development (R&D) approach that adapted the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). At the analysis stage, reading learning needs are mapped out through observation, teacher interviews, and analysis of learning outcomes. The design and development phase resulted in an inquiry-based learning model integrated with the SQ3R steps (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review), accompanied by learning materials and evaluation instruments validated by content experts and learning experts. Implementation was carried out through limited trials and extensive testing in all three schools, followed by formative and summative evaluations to ensure the model's applicability. The research results show that the developed model is able to significantly improve students' reading comprehension skills. Improvements were seen in the ability to identify main ideas, understand inter-sentence relationships, interpret implied meaning, and reflect on the reading content. Statistical analysis shows a significant difference in scores between pre-tests and post-tests, while qualitative data indicates an increase in students' motivation, learning activity, and metacognitive strategies during the learning process. Overall, this study concludes that the integrated inquiry model with the SQ3R strategy is effective for reading instruction in elementary schools and has the potential to be an alternative pedagogical strategy for improving reading literacy. This model is relevant for wider application as a good practice for reasoning-based learning, exploration, and strengthening the ability to understand text holistically.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the Indonesian language learning outcomes of first-grade students at MIN 7 Seluma through the use of digital-based learning media. The background of this research is the low student achievement caused by conventional learning methods that are less engaging. This research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 24 first-grade students of MIN 7 Seluma. Data were collected through observation, interviews, written tests (pretest and posttest), and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods by comparing the results of the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. The findings show an improvement in students’ average scores from 55.4 in the pre-cycle to 78.5 in cycle I, and further increased to 85.4 in cycle II. Students’ activeness also improved in each cycle, as indicated by higher enthusiasm, focus, and participation in learning activities. Therefore, the use of digital-based learning media is proven to be effective in improving Indonesian language learning outcomes among first-grade students at MIN 7 Seluma.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the early reading ability of Grade 1A students at MIN 7 Seluma through the use of word/letter card media. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 25 students of Grade 1A in the current academic year. Data were collected through observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The pre-action test results showed that only 8 students (32%) achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (score ≥70), while 17 students (68%) had not yet reached the standard. After the implementation of word/letter card media in Cycle I, the number of students who achieved mastery increased to 15 students (60%). However, since the success indicator (≥75% of students achieving mastery) had not been met, the research proceeded to Cycle II with an improved strategy by incorporating small group games. The results of Cycle II revealed a significant improvement, with 21 students (84%) reaching the Minimum Mastery Criteria, while 4 students (16%) remained below the standard. These findings indicate that the use of word/letter card media is effective in improving students’ early reading skills, enhancing active participation, increasing motivation, and creating a more enjoyable learning atmosphere

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model komunikatif terhadap komunikasi siswa. Pendekatan diartikan sebagai titik tolak kita terhadap proses pembelajaran. Dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yang harus diperbaiki salah satunya pendekatan pembelajarn. Model komunikatif learning adalah pendekatan pembelajaran yang menekankan pada interaksi dan komunikasi antara guru dan siswa serta antar siswa. Dalam model ini, siswa diberi kesempatan untuk berdiskusi, berargumen, dan berkomunikasi ide mereka, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi mereka. Ciri ciri pendekatan komunikatif adalah aktivitas yang menunjukkan komunikasi sebenarnya atau realitas akan mendorong pelajar untuk belajar dan berbahasa yang bertujuan melakukan tugas tugas yang bermakna akan mendorong pelajar untuk belajar. Tujuan utama dari pendekatan komunikatif adalah menjadikan siswa mampu atau memiliki kompetensi komunikatif. Komunikasi adalah suatu proses di mana dua orang atau lebih membentuk atau melakukan pertukaran informasi dengan satu sama lain yang pada gilirannya akan tiba pada saling pengertian yang saling mendalam. Komunikasi yang berhasil seringkali disebut komunikasi yang efektif. Komunikasi yang efektif adalah saat komunikator berhasil menyampaiakan apa yang dimaksud di mana rangsangan disampaikan oleh pengirim dengan rangsangan yang ditangkap dan dipahami oleh penerima. Tujuan komunikasi adalah menciptakan pemahaman bersama atau mengubah persepsi, bahkan perilaku. Dalam komunikasi antar pelajar, strategi komunikasi merujuk pada strategi untuk mencapai pemahaman antar lawan bicara.
