Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh pengetahuan mengenai pengaruh komunikasi guru dan minat belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar ips siswa kelas VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan analisis data deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi penelitia yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar dengan jumlah 198 siswa. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 133 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah kuisioner (angket). Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa: 1) Tidak terdapat pengaruh dan signifikan antara komunikasi guru terhadap hasil belajar, hasil ini dilihat pada uji t dimana nilai thitung (1,236)< ttabel (1,65657) yag berarti pada variabel tersebut tidak signifikan. 2) Tidak terdapat pengaruh dan signifikan antara minat belajar terhadap hasil belajar, hasil ini dilihat pada uji t dimana nilai thitung (-1,597)< ttabel (1,65657) yang berarti pada variabel tersebut tidak signifikan. 3) Komunikasi guru dan minat belajar siswa secara bersama -sama mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa, hasil ini dapat dilihat pada uji F dimana nilai Fhitung (3,126)> nilai Ftabel (2,67). Uji koefisien determinasi R Square diketahui sebesar 0,046 yang berarti 4,6% variabel komunikasi guru dan minat belajar siswa berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ips UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar. Sedangkan 95,4% merupakan pengaruh dari variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Tuberkulosis adalah penyakit infeksi saluran pernapasan yang penyebabnya berasal dari Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Bakteri ini menyebar dari individu yang telah terinfeksi melalui droplet. Salah satu metode utama untuk mendeteksi keberadaan bakteri tersebut adalah melalui pemeriksaan Basil Tahan Asam (BTA), mengingat bakteri ini mampu bertahan di lingkungan asam. Penelitian berikut bertujuan mengetahui keberadaan BTA pada dahak (sputum) penderita TB di RS Etaham Pematang Siantar. Penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan total 30 sampel sputum menggunakan teknik pewarnaan Ziehl Neelsen. Hasil pemeriksaan menunjukkan bahwa 14 sampel dinyatakan +1, sementara 10 sampel dinyatakan +2, dan sebanyak 6 sampel dinyatakan +3. Kesimpulan yang didapat, +1 jauh lebih banyak dibanding +2 maupun +3, dimana +1 dinyatakan hampir setengah dari 30 sampel tersebut dan +2 juga tidak kalah banyaknya. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat mendorong pasien untuk rutin melakukan kontrol ke fasilitas kesehatan dan menjalani pola hidup bersih serta menggunakan masker guna mencegah penularan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Media Pengajaran Berbasis Word Wall Kepada Hasil Belajar Matematika Murid Atas Materi Unsur Bangun Datar Grup Iii Sdn 122377 Rakutta Sembiring. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, yakni metode adapun digunakan bagi meneliti suatu populasi serta sampel serta tujuan mengukur variabel tertentu secara objektif. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara umum boleh dibagi menjadi dua metode, yakni non-probability sampling serta probability sampling. sampel tentang kajian ini meliputi seluruh murid grup III SDN 122377 Rakuta Sembiring. media pengajaran berbasis word wall berpengaruh kepada hasil belajar matematika murid atas materi bangun datar di grup III SDN 122377 Rakutta Sembiring. Hal ini ditunjukkan mulai hasil uji hipotesis serta nilai signifikansi (16,379), di mana t hitung (16,379) lebih besar mulaipada t tabel (1,717), sehingga hipotesis nol (H₀) ditolak serta hipotesis alternatif (Hₐ) diterima. Selain itu, hasil observasi juga menunjukkan kalau murid lebih aktif serta antusias tentang pengajaran ketika menggunakan media word wall dibandingkan serta pengajaran adapun tidak menggunakan media

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Hubungan Antara Self-Comparison Terhadap Self Esteem Pada Remaja Perempuan Pengguna Media Sosial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang melibatkan 330 remaja perempuan berusia 16 hingga 18 tahun, diketahui bahwa WhatsApp, TikTok, dan Instagram merupakan platform media sosial yang paling dominan digunakan oleh responden. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara self-comparison dan self-esteem pada remaja perempuan pengguna media sosial.Sebagian besar responden menunjukkan kecenderungan melakukan perbandingan diri di media sosial pada tingkat sedang hingga tinggi. Sementara itu, mayoritas responden memiliki tingkat self-esteem pada kategori sedang, dan hanya sebagian kecil yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Temuan ini diperkuat oleh hasil uji korelasi Pearson yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan negatif yang sangat kuat dan signifikan antara self-comparison dan self-esteem (r = -0,888; p < 0,01). Artinya, semakin tinggi intensitas individu dalam membandingkan diri dengan orang lain di media sosial, semakin rendah tingkat harga diri yang dimiliki

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Hardiness Terhadap Career Decision Making Self Efficacy (Cdmse) Mahasiswa Universitas HKBP Nommensen Yang Mengikuti Magang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh peneliti, maka disimpulkan bahwa secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa hardiness berpengaruh signifikan terhadap career decision making self efficacy pada mahasiswa Universitas HKBP Nommensen yang sedang mengikuti magang. Tingginya tingkat hardiness pada mahasiswa tercermin pada ketiga aspek challenge, commitment, dan control yang seluruhnya didominasi kategori tinggi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mampu melihat tantangan sebagai peluang, fokus terhadap tujuan, dan merasa yakin mampu mengendalikan situasi yang dihadapi.Demikian pula, CDMSE mahasiswa berada pada kategori tinggi di seluruh dimensinya, meliputi pemilihan tujuan, informasi pekerjaan, perencanaan, penilaian diri, dan pemecahan masalah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki keyakinan yang kuat dalam mengambil keputusan karier. Hasil ini sejalan dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang menegaskan bahwa hardiness merupakan faktor protektif yang dapat meningkatkan keyakinan diri dalam pengambilan keputusan karier. Dengan demikian, hardiness yang tinggi dapat menjadi modal penting bagi mahasiswa untuk menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja, membuat keputusan karier yang tepat, dan beradaptasi secara efektif dengan perubahan di masa depan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi efikasi diri mahasiswa dalam mengambil keputusan karier, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat ketangguhan (hardiness) yang dimilikinya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and quarter-life crisis among final-year students at HKBP Nommensen University, Medan. This study found a significant negative relationship between self-efficacy and quarter-life crisis among final-year students at HKBP Nommensen University, Medan, with a correlation coefficient of -0.358. This finding indicates that the higher a student's self-confidence in their abilities, the lower the level of crisis experienced when facing the transition to early adulthood. The majority of respondents were in the moderate self-efficacy category, with no significant differences between men and women, indicating that gender is not a major determining factor. Although most students have a relatively high level of self-efficacy, many still experience a significant quarter-life crisis. This is influenced by various external challenges, such as social demands, competitive job market, and economic uncertainty. This situation is exacerbated by the lack of a clear plan for post-graduation for some respondents, leading to identity confusion and anxiety about the future. Students with strong self-efficacy are generally more resilient, skilled at solving problems, and adaptable to change, while those with low self-efficacy are more susceptible to stress and obstacles to personal development. These findings suggest the importance of strengthening self-efficacy through self-development programs, career counseling, and social support to help students navigate the challenges of post-graduation life transitions. Therefore, enhancing self-efficacy can be an effective strategy to mitigate the negative impact of the quarter-life crisis on final-year students.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the effect of the FluentU application on the reading comprehension of eleventh-grade students. FluentU is an AI-assisted language learning application that uses authentic video content, such as movie clips, music videos, and interviews, integrated with interactive subtitles and vocabulary tools to improve learners’ listening, reading, and comprehension skills in a real-world context. This study employed a quantitative research design with a quasi-experimental approach. The population of this research consisted of eleventh-grade students of SMK Negeri 1 Siantar in the academic year 2024/2025. Two classes were taken as the sample: XIBS-1 as the experimental group (36 students) and XIBS-2 as the control group (36 students). The samples were selected using purposive sampling. The experimental group was taught using the FluentU application, while the control group was taught using conventional methods. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests administered to both groups. The findings showed that the mean pre-test score of the experimental group was 67.78, while the control group obtained 62.78. Furthermore, the mean post-test score of the experimental group was 81.94, compared to 75.14 in the control group. The standard deviations were 8.475 for the experimental group and 7.791 for the control group. Data analysis using the t-test revealed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of the FluentU application has a significant effect on the reading comprehension of eleventh-grade students at SMK Negeri 1 Siantar

Abstract

Peneltian pendidikan matematika mengalami perubahan yang sangat pesat, ditandai dengan banyaknya terbentuk organisasi penelitian pendidikan matematika dan tersedianya publikasi hasil penelitian yang terakreditasi dan terindex. Studi ini akan mengkaji arah dan trend penelitian pendidikan matematika sejalan dengan trend dan temuan baru dalam pendidikan matematika. Penelitian pendidikan matematika masa lalu didominasi oleh isu desain model/teori/kurikulum pembelajaran matematika dengan fokus ke siswa pendidikan dasar sebagai subjek penelitian. Saat ini topik penelitian pendidikan matematika mengkaji ke arah media dan teknologi pembelajaran dengan kajian ke proses berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa dengan subjek yang merata . Penelitian pendidikan matematika ke depan juga akan mengkaji kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang lebih ditekankan ke kemampuan 4C (Four Cs: Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration).

Abstract

This study aims to measure students' neuro-psychological readiness as a prerequisite for implementing deep learning, encompassing executive functions, metacognition, intrinsic motivation, and emotional regulation, through the dimensions of mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning. The research employed a mixed-methods approach with a sequential exploratory design dominated by quantitative data. The study was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar, involving a sample of 130 students from grades X and XI selected through stratified random sampling. Quantitative data were collected using a 5-point Likert-scale questionnaire grounded in Diamond's executive functions framework. The results indicate that students' neuro-psychological readiness falls within the moderate-to-high category, with an overall mean of 3.57. The mindful learning dimension recorded the highest score (mean 3.62), followed by joyful learning (3.55), and meaningful learning (3.48). Data distribution across all dimensions was confirmed as normal; however, 12–18 percent of students were in the low category, indicating vulnerability to distractions, difficulties in constructing meaningful understanding, and low emotional resilience when facing learning challenges. These findings suggest that although the majority of students possess an adequate foundation for deep learning, readiness gaps remain that could potentially hinder the effectiveness of curriculum implementation. Based on these results, the study recommends incorporating brief mindfulness exercises into teaching, strengthening integrated cross-subject projects accompanied by metacognitive strategies, and adopting learning approaches that foster intrinsic motivation and a growth mindset. Additionally, ongoing teacher training in educational neuropsychology, periodic assessment of student readiness, and school policies on device management are required.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze speech disruptions experienced by second-grade students of SMA Negeri 14 Medan during oral presentations. Speech disruption, refers to interruptions in the flow of speech that affect fluency and clarity. The research focuses on identifying the types, frequency, causes, and impacts of these disruptions on students’ speaking performance. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through classroom observations of students’ oral presentations and semi-structured interviews with selected participants. The speech disruptions were categorized following Gleason and Ratner’s (1998) framework, which includes hesitation, repetition, false starts, and filler words. The findings reveal that repetition is the most dominant type of speech disruption, accounting for 35.80% of occurrences, followed by hesitation (27.78%), filler words (25.30%), and false starts (11.11%). The study also identifies several factors contributing to these disruptions, including lack of preparation, low confidence, nervousness, and limited vocabulary, with lack of preparation being the most significant. These disruptions negatively affect students’ fluency and the effectiveness of their communication, often making it difficult for listeners to follow the intended message. The study suggests that improving students’ preparation, building their confidence, expanding vocabulary, and managing speaking anxiety are crucial strategies to reduce speech disruptions and enhance oral proficiency. This research contributes valuable insights for EFL teachers to better understand and address the challenges faced by students in speaking activities, ultimately supporting the development of more effective teaching approaches to foster fluent and confident English speakers.
