Abstract

The lack of flexibility and relevance in the development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curricula in Indonesia poses significant challenges, particularly in addressing the needs of modern society and the Society 5.0 era. This study aims to identify fundamental principles for designing relevant and effective PAI curricula and to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of subject-centered, learner-centered, and problem-centered approaches. A qualitative method was employed, utilizing literature analysis from various sources, including scientific journals, books, and official documents published in the last five years. Thematic analysis was conducted through data reduction, presentation, and verification techniques. The results indicate that the ideal development of PAI curricula integrates the principles of relevance, flexibility, efficiency, and continuity. Learner-centered approaches enhance creativity and engagement, while problem-centered approaches improve social relevance. Subject-centered design remains essential as a foundational element of knowledge. The integration of these three approaches produces a curriculum model that not only instills religious values but also equips students with critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities to address contemporary societal challenges. This study contributes to the transformation of PAI curricula to be more adaptive, relevant, and humanistic.

Abstract

The development of digital technology today has an influence on the mental health of adolescents, especially high school students. Students often face various challenges that can affect mental health, such as cyberbullying, egocentricity, fomo, etc. This study aims to analyze the impact of group counseling as an intervention to improve students' mental health in the digital era. This research method uses the literature study method by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing research articles from various sources relevant to group counseling. The results of this study show that group counseling has a good impact on students' mental health. Group counseling is said to be effective in overcoming students' mental health problems in the digital era. Group counseling is proven to be a potential guidance and counseling service strategy in improving the mental health of high school students in the digital era. Group counseling not only brings a good impact on mental health but also social skills and achieving potential to the fullest. This study concludes that the group counseling service strategy as a forum for sharing experiences and coping strategies in dealing with problems faced in the digital world.

Abstract

The integration of social learning theory in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning is a relevant approach to face the challenges of the digital era. This article discusses the application of social learning theory, developed by Albert Bandura, in supporting innovative and adaptive Islamic Education learning. This theory emphasizes the importance of observation, modeling, reinforcement, and self-efficacy in learning. By utilizing digital technology, such as learning videos, simulations, and social media, Islamic values can be taught in a more interactive, interesting, and relevant to students' lives. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach based on literature study, with Miles and Huberman data analysis, namely by analyzing various relevant sources. The results show that the use of technology in Islamic education learning, such as Islamic game-based applications, worship simulation videos, and social media platforms, allows students to understand religious values through real and contextual experiences. The integration of social learning theory helps build a strong connection between Islamic Religious Education learning and students' digital lives. The technology also plays a role in strengthening students' self-efficacy, increasing motivation, and rewarding positive behavior through digital reinforcement mechanisms.

Abstract

The curriculum is a main element in education that influences all educational activities. With its very important strategic role, curriculum development must be carried out carefully and not haphazardly. This process requires a solid foundation, supported by thorough research and deep thinking. This research aims to understand the foundations of curriculum development in Indonesia. In general, four foundations will be discussed in this study, namely the philosophical foundation, psychological foundation, sociological foundation, and organizational foundation. The method used is literature study. This research is a type of study that collects data from literature. The data collection technique in this research is documentation, which involves searching for written sources that contain information on the discussed topic. Primary data is obtained from reading references such as books, journals, and websites. Philosophical foundations, philosophical views are very much needed in education, especially in determining the direction and goals of education.The sociological foundation directs the study of the curriculum in relation to society, culture, and the development of knowledge. The organizational foundation pertains to the organization of material, which includes the scope of the material and the arrangement of each material, as well as the material as a whole, organized and arranged systematically according to the phases of physical-psychological growth and development of the learners based on in-depth and sufficiently comprehensive thinking. Curriculum developers must consider the psychological condition of individuals, in this case, the students, especially in designing and implementing the curriculum so that educational goals can be achieved optimally. Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that there are four foundations for curriculum development, which include the philosophical foundation, sociological foundation, organizational foundation, and psychological foundation.

Abstract

This study employs a qualitative method with a literature study approach, aiming to examine the influence of learning motivation on academic achievement at the MTs (Islamic junior high school) level. The literature review encompasses theoretical studies, references, and various scientific literature relevant to values and norms within the realm of education, which serve as the research focus. The collected data are descriptive in nature, derived from various sources including articles, journals, and websites selected for their relevance to the research topic. The selection of sources is based on their academic quality and alignment with the theoretical framework employed. This research focuses on two main variables: teacher competence as the independent variable and academic achievement as the dependent variable. Data analysis is conducted descriptively and qualitatively to reveal the relationship between these two variables and to provide scientific contributions to the development of the teaching and learning process within MTs settings. Through this study, readers are expected to gain deeper insights into the factors associated with learning motivation and its impact on student outcomes, particularly at the MTs level.

Abstract

Social media is a relevant thing for Generation Z, who has interacted with technology since birth. Generation Z has an important role in maintaining and strengthening Indonesia’s democracy, one of which is through state defense actions carried on social media. Generation Z’s active participant, such as voicing opinions, following the democratic process and fighting threats that could damage democracy, is a real form of defending the country in a digital context. Even though social media has a big influence in spreading the message of defending the country, the challenge faced is how to benefit from the social media carefully and wisely to filter the correct information. This research aims to determine the role of social media in increasing awareness of defending the country among generation Z. This research uses a literature study approach. The results of this research shows that social media has significant potential in increasing the awareness of defending the country among the younger generation, especially generation Z.

Abstract

The application of the behavioristic model in technology-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning focuses on changing student behavior through appropriate stimulation. Behaviorism as a learning theory emphasizes that human behavior can be manipulated and learned through interaction with the environment. In the PAI context, the use of technology functions as a tool to strengthen the learning process, increase understanding, and shape the character of students. Through the literature review method, this article discusses the contribution of behaviorist theory in creating effective learning designs, as well as the importance of technology integration to achieve more holistic educational goals. The results show that the behavioristic learning model can increase students' motivation and responses, as well as facilitate positive attitude changes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low utilization of the History Department's reading room by History Department students at Universitas Negeri Padang. This reading room is a learning facility aimed at supporting the academic process within the history department. This study aims to determine the benefits of the History Department's reading room for History Department students at Universitas Negeri Padang. This research is a descriptive qualitative study. The subjects of this study were obtained through interviews with history students from the 2015, 2016, and 2017 cohorts at Universitas Negeri Padang. The data analysis technique used was interactive analysis, consisting of data collection, data reduction, data display, and data verification. The research findings indicate that, out of the 45 students who participated in this study, many reported numerous benefits of using the History Department's reading room, such as facilitating the completion of assignments and increasing class participation due to frequent reading and borrowing books from the reading room. However, some students did not utilize the reading room due to reasons such as an incomplete book collection, inadequate facilities, particularly the air conditioning, and unfriendly library staff.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the morality of students which is increasingly worrying and disturbing. Morality or morality is the most important part of everyday life because morality is used as a sign of good or bad someone. This study aims to analyze the influence of Islamic Religious Education teacher personality competence on morality at the Junior High School level. The research method used is a qualitative method with a literature review approach to explore the influence of Islamic Religious Education teacher personality competence on morality. The results of the study stated that Islamic Religious Education teacher personality competence has a significant effect on the morality of students at the Junior High School level. The conclusion of this study is that teacher personality competence is a factor that determines the closeness of a teacher to his students. A teacher's personality can be seen from his behavior and actions in fostering and educating students. A teacher's behavior and actions are the most important factors in a teacher's personality competence.

Abstract

The madrasah, pesantren, and public school curricula have their own characteristics that reflect the goals that the three educational institutions want to achieve. The research method used in this research is a literature study where this approach aims to examine and review various relevant literature sources related to the concept of the Pesantren, Madrasah, and School curriculum. these three curricula complement each other in creating a holistic learning environment. Although they have different focuses and approaches, their ultimate goal remains the same: forming individuals who are not only academically intelligent, but also have integrity and a strong personality. This reflects the importance of a balanced education between knowledge, skills and moral values as a provision to face challenges in an ever-changing world.
