Abstract

This research aims to develop a physics learning website using the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model to enhance students' problem-solving abilities. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The product was tested on 25 students of class VIIE at SMPN 1 Kejajar. Validation by media experts yielded a score of 81% (valid), and material experts scored 95% (very valid). Practicality results reached 88% from teachers and 87.1% from students (very practical). Effectiveness was tested using t-test and N-Gain analysis, resulting in Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < 0.05 and N-Gain = 0.3345 (33.45%), indicating moderate effectiveness. These results show that the developed website is a valid, practical, and effective medium for improving students’ problem-solving skills in physics, particularly in contexts where technology integration is still limited.

Abstract

been fully accompanied by an increase in students’ digital literacy, especially at the vocational high school (SMK) level. This study aims to develop a digital student worksheet (E-LKPD) on Work and Energy based on the REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring) model to enhance students’ digital literacy. The research employed the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The sample consisted of grade X AKL 3 students selected through purposive sampling. Research instruments included validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, tests, and digital literacy questionnaires. Validation results showed that media experts rated the product at 4.84 (96.84%) and subject matter experts at 4.45 (89%), both in the "very valid" category. Practicality tests by teachers and students yielded scores of 87.27% and 86.16%, respectively, categorized as "very practical." The paired sample t-test revealed a significant increase in concept understanding (sig. 0.001; N-Gain = 0.4599, medium category) and digital literacy (sig. 0.001; N-Gain = 0.7965, high category). Thus, the REACT-based E-LKPD is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing both conceptual understanding and digital literacy, contributing to 21st-century digital and contextual learning.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a crucial competency in physics learning, yet students’ performance in this area remains relatively low. This condition is largely due to the lack of learning models that encourage active involvement and student-centered activities. This study aims to examine the effect of the experiment-based Learning Cycle 5E model on students’ critical thinking skills in the topic of vibrations and waves. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two eighth-grade classes at MTs Ma’arif Kejajar, one as the experimental group and the other as the control group. The research instruments included essay tests, questionnaires, and observation sheets. The data analysis revealed that the average N-Gain score in the experimental class was 0.4949 (moderate category), while the control class scored 0.2020 (low category). The t-test indicated a significant difference between the posttest results of both classes. It can be concluded that the experiment-based Learning Cycle 5E model is effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills in physics learning.

Abstract

The low level of students' critical thinking skills in astronomy physics material and the lack of teaching materials integrating Islamic values are the main problems addressed in this study. This research aims to develop and examine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of a differentiated teaching module integrated with Ilmu Falak through the Tafsir Jalalain to enhance students’ critical thinking skills on the solar system topic. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) employing the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). Analysis techniques include expert validation, t-test to assess the module's impact, and N-Gain analysis to measure learning improvement. The results show the module is highly valid (89.2%) and highly practical (83.3%). The t-test results (t=2.653 > t-table=1.675) indicate a significant effect on critical thinking skills improvement. The average N-Gain of 68.97% is categorized as moderately effective. This differentiated teaching module successfully helps students critically understand astronomy physics content integrated with religious values.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in determining the progress of a nation. However, in Indonesia, the quality of education still faces quite complex challenges. Some of the main problems that arise in the education sector include the low professionalism of some teachers, limited facilities and infrastructure to support learning, and minimal involvement of related parties in supporting the education process as a whole. This study aims to examine the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) as one of the strategic approaches in efforts to improve the quality of education, especially at the elementary school level. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, and relies on literature studies and case studies related to elementary education. Data were analyzed through data reduction analysis techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Researchers identified patterns, themes, and relationships between the implementation of SBM and improving the quality of education in various previous studies. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of School-Based Management is able to increase the effectiveness of education management by involving all elements in the school environment. Principals, teachers, students, parents, school committees, and the community actively participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of the program. The collaboration formed through this approach fosters a sense of shared responsibility and creates a democratic learning atmosphere. Thus, MBS has proven to be able to strengthen school independence, encourage increased institutional capacity, and create a higher quality learning process.

Abstract

In the era of Society 5.0, students are required to master critical thinking and collaboration skills in order to be able to face the challenges in this era. However, in reality, fourth grade students of SDN Telaga Sili-Sili have not mastered these two skills, this is proven by the test results which show that students are not optimal in understanding the material and are not yet competent in completing the challenges given by the teacher, students have not been able to apply collaboration skills well because some students prefer to learn individually and only 4 out of 10 students reach the KKTP limit. This study aims to use the PANUTAN model to test student learning outcomes, critical thinking skills, collaboration skills, and activities. PTK is the method used in this study which was carried out in 4 meetings. Based on the results of the study, student activity increased from 40% at meeting 1 to 80% at meeting 4. At meeting 1 the percentage of critical thinking skills was 30%, at meeting 4 it increased to 90%. At meeting 1 collaboration skills were 40%, and at meeting 4 it increased to 90%. From meeting 1 to meeting 4, it increases student learning outcomes from 30% to 100%. The results of the study indicate that the application of the PAMUTAN model is effective in improving learning outcomes, critical skills, cooperation and student activity.

Abstract

This study identified the low speaking skills of first grade elementary school students as a crucial problem that needs to be addressed. Initial observations showed that students often had difficulty in conveying ideas or thoughts orally; they were often unable to speak coherently, clearly, and even showed a lack of confidence when asked to communicate in front of the class or with their friends. This study was designed with the main objective of improving students' Indonesian speaking skills through the application of picture storytelling techniques. The method used in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages, namely planning, implementing actions, observation, and reflection. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and speaking skills tests. The data analysis technique was carried out quantitatively descriptively by calculating the percentage increase in the completion of speaking skills from each cycle. The results of this study showed that before the actions were implemented, the initial condition of students' speaking skills was relatively low, reaching 55%. This figure clearly indicates a serious problem in mastering oral language skills. However, after the intervention in cycle I, there was a pleasing increase, the average student speaking skills rose to 63%, and further reached 66% at the second meeting of cycle I. A much more drastic and proud increase was seen in cycle II, where the average value of students' speaking skills jumped to 88%, and the peak even reached 98% at the final meeting. These strong quantitative data convincingly prove that the application of picture storytelling techniques is very effective in significantly improving the speaking skills of first grade elementary school students.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya tingkat aktivitas siswa, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Matematika. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan penerapan model pembelajaran BASULING BAPANTUN yang dipadukan dengan media Etnomatematika Lok Baintan dalam proses pembelajaran. Model BASULING BAPANTUN merupakan perpaduan dari tiga pendekatan, yaitu Problem Based Learning, Make a Match, dan Picture and Picture. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru dan siswa, serta menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subjek siswa kelas V SDN Kebun Bunga 3 Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui observasi terhadap aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, serta kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Sedangkan data kuantitatif dikumpulkan dari hasil belajar siswa yang diukur melalui tes tertulis secara individu dan berkelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas guru dari pertemuan pertama hingga keempat dengan kategori “sangat baik.” Aktivitas siswa juga meningkat signifikan, yaitu dari 57% (sebagian siswa sangat aktif) menjadi 96% (hampir seluruh siswa sangat aktif). Kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa mengalami kenaikan dari 54% menjadi 93%. Peningkatan tersebut berdampak positif pada hasil belajar siswa, yang naik dari 46,4% menjadi 100%. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model BASULING BAPANTUN beserta media Etnomatematika Lok Baintan efektif dalam meningkatkan aktivitas belajar, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan hasil belajar siswa. Abstract

The problem addressed in this study is the monotonous and unvaried learning process, the lack of student engagement, and the absence of attractive learning models and media, which causes students to become easily bored. This research aims to address the low levels of teacher and student activity, as well as students' critical thinking and collaboration skills in the subject of Pancasila Education by implementing the PELITA learning model. The study was conducted as a Classroom Action Research (PTK) over four sessions with fourth-grade students at SDN Kota Raja. Data were collected using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed significant improvements in teacher and student activity, critical thinking skills, collaboration, and student learning outcomes. The PELITA model proved effective and is recommended as an innovative learning alternative to enhance the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student activity, critical thinking skills, collaboration, and learning outcomes in Civics (PPKn) learning through the implementation of the BARIKIT learning model. The problem identified in this research is the low level of student engagement, critical thinking ability, collaboration, and academic achievement in PPKn content. The root causes include low student interest in learning, limited reasoning skills, monotonous and less interactive learning activities, and the lack of engaging learning facilities. Additionally, students often struggle to express their opinions during lessons. This Classroom Action Research was conducted over four meetings with 20 fourth-grade students at SDN Telawang 4 in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were collected through observation and tests, then analyzed using descriptive analysis and cross-tabulation. The results showed a significant improvement in teacher activity (from a score of 29 to 35), student activity (from 45% to 90%), critical thinking (from 25% to 90%), collaboration (from 45% to 90%), and student learning mastery (from 35% to 95%). These findings indicate that the BARIKIT model is effective in enhancing the quality of Civics instruction. Its consistent implementation successfully improves learning activities, social and cognitive interaction skills, as well as student achievement in PPKn content. The model can serve as an alternative interactive teaching method in primary schools.
