Abstract

The identification and verification program for latrine assistance in Benggara Village is an effort to improve access to proper sanitation for the community. The process involves identifying households in need of assistance, followed by a survey or verification of latrine conditions, and an evaluation of eligibility. Initially, we managed to determine 40 households eligible for assistance. However, after the survey was conducted, only 35 households met the requirements, such as having available materials like boards, cement, and pipes. The implementation of the program involved active community participation and continuous monitoring. The results are evident not only in the improved latrine infrastructure but also in increased community awareness of the importance of good sanitation. This program is expected to serve as an example for similar efforts elsewhere in improving access to proper sanitation for the community.

Abstract

Kelubir Village is located in Tanjung Palas Utara Sub-district, Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan Province which is famous for its corn farming, and is one of the villages that produces the most corn in the North Kalimantan region. According to the Regent of Bulungan, Mr. Syarwani, with the potential plantation area in Kelubir reaching 300 hectares (ha), this can be a hope in improving welfare and supporting food security programs in the region. In addition to corn farming, Kelubir Village also cultivates cocoa plants which is one of the community empowerment assistance programs from PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara (PKN) Company. In an effort to implement the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, Piksi Ganesha Polytechnic in synergy with PT Pesona Khatulistiwa Nusantara (PKN) and the Bulungan Regency Government, carried out community service activities to encourage the Kelubir Village government to have local revenue through assistance in the formation of a Business Unit under the auspices of the Jayan Mandiri Village-Owned Business Entity (BUMDes), Kelubir Village, North Kalimantan, where the business unit to be run is the Agricultural Production Facilities (Saprodi) business in accordance with the original potential of Kelubir Village, where the majority of the people are farmers. This service uses a participatory method that directly involves the Kelubir Village Government, including the Village Head, BUMDes management and the surrounding community. This community service activity has a positive impact in helping the farmers meet agricultural needs such as fertilizers, seeds, and medicines, which previously had to be reached within 15 km, to 1 km, saving time and transportation costs, increasing productivity and improving the local economy by opening new jobs and encouraging the growth of other businesses around the agricultural area.

Abstract

This community service discusses participatory communication strategies applied in a field school for pest and disease control and post-flood management in cocoa cultivation in Sajau Village, Bulungan Regency. The main focus of the field school was the participatory approach used, the methods applied, and the results achieved. The research shows how active community involvement can influence sustainable farming practices, with an emphasis on improving the effectiveness of pest control, disease management and post-flood recovery.

Abstract

This community service program was held with the aim of improving the skills of students and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Maleer Village, Bandung City, in utilizing product photography and digital marketing strategies to support online sales. The training was attended by 67 participants, consisting of the Taruna Class (20 participants), Regular Class (25 participants), Student Association (10 participants), Student Executive Board Delegation (7 participants), and staff (5 participants). The training materials included the basics of digital marketing, product photography techniques, and buying and selling practices on the TikTok and Meta Ads platforms (Facebook and Instagram Ads). The evaluation results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of digital marketing strategies and their ability to produce attractive visual content. This program is expected to be able to increase the competitiveness of MSMEs in the digital era and enrich students' knowledge of digital marketing, so that it can have a positive impact on increasing product sales online.

Abstract

This training aims to provide knowledge and insight to members of the youth organization in RW 05 Griya Caraka Complex, Cisaranten Endah Village, Arcamanik District, Bandung. The members of the youth organization are given provisions on how to manage finances and develop available funds so that they can increase and be utilized properly. The activity methods used are lecture and practice methods. The results of the activity show that members of the youth organization have a better understanding and knowledge of financial institutions and financial products and services, including features, benefits and risks related to financial products and services.

Abstract

Community Service Activities (Pengmas) carried out by Working Group (POKJA) 5 of the Immanuel Bandung Health Institute in RW 05 Sub District Babakan Asih, Bandung City. Community service aims to increase public knowledge about health and providing business ideas without capital for housewives and using artificial intelligence for marketing in Sub District Babakan Asih, Bandung City. The activity involved 7 lecturers from the Professional Nursing Program, Bachelor of Public Health, Diploma 3 in Nursing, Diploma 3 in Midwifery and Diploma 3 in Hospital Service Management (MPRS). The community service method is carried out by means of counseling and question and answer. The media used are laptops, LCD, LCD screens and speakers to display material in the form of power points and interactive videos. The material presented to the public was carried out in just 1 stage and took place in the courtyard of RW 05 Office. The community service was held on Wednesday 13th November 2024, the material presented included: Degenerative Diseases, Prevention of Tuberculosis, Use of Contraceptives, How to Know the Fertile Period for Those Who Are Using Natural Birth Control and Providing Business Ideas Without Capital For Housewives and Using Artificial Intelligence For Marketing, as well as collecting data through Pre and Post Tests regarding Hypertension. The recommendation that can be recommended is that monitoring can be carried out in the area regarding what counseling materials have been provided, whether there are changes in attitudes and behavior or not.

Abstract

Interpersonal Communication (IP) is an effective information delivery technique for behavioral and social changes in the community, especially in stunting prevention behavior. The purpose of this activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of cadres in Interpersonal Communication (IP) techniques and the creation of counseling media (leaflets, posters, flipcharts, booklets) as a support in communicating with targets (pregnant women, mothers of toddlers, teenagers, etc.). As well as facilitating effective and fast response communication through the provision of Artificial Intelligence-based counseling media in the form of a Chatbot application. The results of this activity are that 76 Posyandu cadres have participated in IP technique training and the creation of technology-based counseling media, and IP implementation assistance was provided during Posyandu activities, with the results of 93% good knowledge, 7% sufficient, and none lacking knowledge. Cadre skills in implementing IP are 84% good, 16% sufficient, and none lacking. In addition, a communication media in the form of a "stunting care" chatbot application was also produced which can be utilized by Posyandu cadres and target group communities to carry out effective and fast response communication.

Abstract

The ability to communicate in an organization will allow each member to form connections, influence decisions, and motivate change. Public communication training at the Banggai Regency Education Ambassador Selection event, Central Sulawesi was carried out to train inspiring young figures who are specifically dedicated to the field of education, so that they are able to communicate effectively, efficiently, and appropriately. The method of implementing Community Service activities is carried out by presenting material that is collaborated with interactive activities such as questions and answers and practical exercises to the finalists of the Banggai Regency education ambassadors. The results of this activity, participants were able to apply basic public communication techniques that are contained in communication on stage and psychological communication as Education Ambassadors of Banggai Regency Election event so that they are expected to become inspirational education ambassadors.

Abstract

Stunting occurs in the first 1000 days of life (HPK). The risk of stunting is that there are obstacles to physical growth and vulnerability to disease in children and causes delays in cognitive development which affects the level of intelligence. Apart from that, stunting also affects children's productivity in the future. The results of the 2018 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) show a decline The prevalence of stunting at the national level was 6.4% over a 5 year period, namely from 37.2% (2013) to 30.8% (2018). Meanwhile, for toddlers with normal status, there was an increase from 48.6% (2013) to 57.8% (2018). West Sumatra Province itself has a stunting prevalence rate in 2021 of 23.3%, lower than the national figure. The prevalence of underweight among children under five in the Mentawai Islands district in 2022 will reach 13.8% from the target of 14.5%. Based on data obtained in Sirisurak Hamlet, Saibi Samukop Village, there were 58 children in August 2024, and 17 children experienced malnutrition. Purpose: The main objective of this community service is to help government programs in this case in the Sirisurak Hamlet area, Saibi Samukop Village, where there are 17 people with malnutrition. Apart from that, it is hoped that this counseling can increase the knowledge of mothers of toddlers about stunting. Method: Stages of community service activities include: 1) Assessing and identifying problems, 2) Determining targets, 3) Coordinating with the village head, midwife and posyandu cadres. 4) Implementation of activities. Result: The results obtained were that of the 58 children under five who carried out their weight and measured their height, there was 1 (1.7%) child under five with very short status, 8 (13.8%) children under five with short status, 44 (75.9%) with normal status, and 5 (8.6%) children under five with high status. From these results, instructors carried out outreach related to stunting in children under five. Conclusion: The results of community service in the form of stunting education to mothers of toddlers are very useful for increasing the knowledge of mothers of toddlers regarding stunting. Suggestion: it is necessary for health workers to make house-to-house visits to detect early incidents of malnutrition which can result in stunting.

Abstract

In this digital era, there are still some people who do not understand the use of Mobile (JKN). Especially the elderly who have sophisticated smartphones. JKN mobile is one of the health history screenings compiled by BPJS Kesehatan which is a screening made with the aim of finding out whether JKN KIS participants have a risk of 4 NCDs, namely: hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, chronic kidney disease, coronary heart disease which is useful for maintaining the health of the elderly. In order to increase knowledge, understanding of the elderly about JKN mobile in health maintenance efforts, health education is carried out. The result of this activity is an increase in clear knowledge for the elderly about JKN mobile through counseling using leaflets
