Abstract

Enhancing rice production in rural Indonesian communities requires comprehensive community development approaches that address technical, social, and economic constraints. This qualitative study examined community development initiatives aimed at improving rice harvest yields (dedeng panen) among farmers in Karang Rejo Village, Simalungun Regency, North Sumatra Province. Through in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and participatory observation with 45 farmers and 12 key community stakeholders over a six-month period, this study explored multidimensional challenges and opportunities in rice productivity enhancement. The findings revealed that successful rice yield improvement requires integrated interventions to address technical knowledge gaps, input accessibility, infrastructure development, and institutional strengthening. Community-based approaches demonstrated significant improvements in rice productivity (38.1% increase in yield per hectare), farmer income (62.5% increase), and overall food security (30.8% improvement). The study identified critical success factors, including farmer group empowerment, agricultural extension services, demonstration plots, and improved access to quality input and credit facilities. These findings contribute to the understanding of effective community development strategies for sustainable agricultural improvement in Indonesian rural contexts, emphasizing the importance of participatory approaches that build local capacities while addressing systemic production constraints

Abstract

During the learning process that makes students a little less interested in learning, and has not been developed the use of media and learning media can be described as media that contain information or instructional messages and can be used in the learning process. Learning media is a medium that conveys messages or information that contain the intent or purpose of learning. Learning media is very important in helping students acquire new concepts, skills, and competencies; therefore, researchers can understand that media is very important in learning. Many types of media can be used by teachers in the teaching and learning process, but teachers must be selective in choosing the type of media. In the digital era, teachers must be able to use not only classical learning media but also modern learning media. Several research findings also show the positive impact of media used as an integral part of classroom learning or as the main way learning takes place, and that learning media is one of the tools used by teachers so that learning activities take place effectively. Abstract

The vocabulary learning strategy used, analysis repetition strategy implementation, examined effectiveness on vocabulary retention, and formulated an adaptive model for local contexts. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected from one primary informant and three supporting informants through interviews, observations, document analysis, and stimulated recall sessions. The analysis revealed that the primary informant developed a sophisticated multi – modal repetition system with four techniques: temporal spacing, multi – modal reinforcement, contextual variation, and self-testing. Development factors included prior learning experience, parental influence, teacher methodology, and assessment patterns. This research gaps in the literature by examining vocabulary learning in rural coastal schools, adaption of repetition strategies to local contexts, and integration of traditional strategies with innovative elements under limited technological resources. These findings contribute to the development of more inclusive vocabulary learning models for diverse educational contexts in Indonesia

Abstract

Teachers who still teach in a monotonous and lecture way, make students feel confused and their learning results decrease. In grade VI students, it is still found that students have not understood the core of the text, and have not been able to compile the core of the reading into a summary.  The summaries and explanatory texts made by students are also less than optimal. Aims: This study aims to examine the use of mind mapping techniques in improving the learning outcomes of explanatory text material in elementary schools. Method: Descriptive approaches and qualitative methods are used in this study. The sources of information came from interviews, observations, and explanatory text tests. Data analysis was carried out descriptively to describe students' ability to understand explanatory text material. Result: The results of the study showed that the learning outcomes of explanatory text material increased with the mind mapping technique in grade VI students in elementary schools. There was an increase in completeness from 2 students to 21 students and only 4 students did not complete. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that mind mapping techniques are more efficient and applicable in improving student learning outcomes in elementary school

Abstract

This quantitative study examined the implementation of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Indonesian educational settings, focusing on teachers' pedagogical readiness and its impact on student learning autonomy. A cross-sectional survey design involving 384 teachers from various educational institutions across Indonesia was employed. Data were collected using validated instruments measuring AI-TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) competency and student learning autonomy. Results revealed that teachers demonstrated moderate levels of AI integration readiness (M = 3.29, SD = 0.95), with significant variations based on teaching experience and geographic location. Multiple regression analysis indicated that AI-TPACK integration was the strongest predictor of student learning autonomy (β = 0.425, p < 0.001), explaining 61.2% of the variance. Key challenges included infrastructure limitations (75.3%), lack of training (69.5%), and limited technical support (63.8%). The study concludes that successful AI implementation requires comprehensive teacher development programs, improved digital infrastructure, and systematic institutional support. Findings contribute to understanding AI integration dynamics in developing educational contexts and provide evidence for policy development in Indonesian education transformation.

Abstract

The problems in this research are as follows: 1) What is the poetry-writing ability of class X students at Sinar Husni Private High School before the genius learning method in stylistics is applied? 2) What is the poetry-writing ability of class X students at Sinar Husni Private High School after applying the genius learning method in stylistics? 3) Is the genius learning method effective in improving the poetry-writing ability of class X students at Sinar Husni Private High School? The objectives of this research are: 1) to determine the poetry-writing ability of the class and 2) to determine the poetry-writing ability of the class academic year 2024-2025. An experimental method is used in this study. The instrument used to collect data is a test in the form of a test essay. The test was used to determine students’ post-writing abilities. To determine the average student score, the data processing technique that the author uses is the average formula (mean), determines the standard deviation, and then determine the final score. The results of the research show that the ability to write poetry in class X of Sinar Husni Private High School for the 2024 academic year -2025 using the genius learning method in literary stylistics, is better than using conventional methods. Thus, the genius learning method in literary stylistics can improve the ability of class X students of Sinar Husni Private High School for the 2024-2025 academic year. This is proven by the value of "t0" in this study being 5.57 where the "t" table is 1.697 within the significance standard of 0.05 or 5%. Means “t0” is greater than “tt.”
