Abstract

The low vocabulary mastery of seventh-grade students at MTs Ittihadiyah Tanreassona indicates the need for more effective teaching strategies to enhance language skills. This research aims to investigate the effectiveness of flashcards as a learning media to elevate students' English vocabulary mastery. Employing a pre-experimental design, the study involved 34 seventh-grade students and utilized tests as the primary data collection tool, analyzed using SPSS 26.0. The result posits that flashcards significantly enhance vocabulary retention and recall. The findings confirm that flashcards effectively elevate students' vocabulary mastery by providing an engaging and interactive learning experience.

Abstract

This research examines the management of facilities and infrastructure at SMA Negeri 1 Wonoayu, with the research focus being management of facilities and infrastructure affects the sustainability of facilities. The aim of this research is to gain an understanding of facilities and infrastructure management. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. The data source for this research comes from the manager of facilities and infrastructure, namely the Vice Principal Mr. M. Syamsul Arif, S.Pd., M.Si., collecting data through techniques such as observation and interviews. The research results show that the facilities and infrastructure at SMA Negeri 1 Wonoayu are used optimally by students and teachers. Students use the facilities to learn, and teachers deliver lessons using the tools available in the classroom. All facilities and infrastructure at SMA Negeri 1 Wonoayu have been maintained optimally, with routine checks, repairs and maintenance.

Abstract

This research highlights the crucial role of governors as regional leaders in conveying messages and policies to the community, especially through opinions published in the mass media. The focus on the use of formal and informal language in the governor's communication, as well as the analysis of sentence patterns in the opinion of the Governor of East Java in the November 25, 2023 edition of Jawa Pos are the main objectives of this study. Content analysis methods are used to evaluate opinion texts, examine sentence types, sentence patterns, and formal and informal language usage. The results showed the dominance of the use of active voice in the governor's opinion, indicating awareness of the subject as the main actor in the message conveyed. Common sentence patterns such as KSPO and SPK are often used, but there are also variations of other patterns that provide a broader dimension in communication. There is also a unique blend of formal and informal language in the governor's text, creating a more personal atmosphere and connecting with the audience more thoroughly. However, the study has limitations, especially in the overall representation of the governor's communication style that may not include all communication strategies in different situations. In conclusion, the study reveals complexity and variation in language use and sentence patterns in governors' opinions.

Abstract

This study aims at curriculum management at SMA Negeri 1 Cerme, focusing on planning, implementation, and evaluation. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with the Vice Principal for Curriculum, observation of management practices, analysis of supporting documents. The results showed that the curriculum planning stage was carried out systematically by considering educational objectives, mapping basic competencies, and providing adequate teaching materials. The implementation stage includes learning time allocation policies, conversion of practice hours, determination of minimum hours of subjects, and preparation of a structured academic calendar. However, the evaluation stage of curriculum management is still incidental, carried out only when certain obstacles arise, without a systematic and sustainable approach. This study recommends the need to strengthen the capacity of educators through continuous training and the application of technology to support the monitoring and evaluation process. In addition, intensive collaboration between schools, educators, students and communities is needed to ensure the active involvement of all stakeholders in the curriculum management process.

Abstract

Pendidikan seks menjadi penting karena banyak terjadi kasus kekerasan seksual terhadap anak di masyarakat. Namun yang terjadi di lapangan adalah orang tua bersikap apatis dan tidak berpartisipasi aktif dalam pendidikan seks anak sejak dini. Seolah-olah para orang tua memberikan pendidikan seks hanya kepada pihak sekolah sebagai sumber informasi bagi anaknya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain naratif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode observasi dan metode wawancara. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 2 orang tua dari anak usia 5-6 tahun di Paud Terpadu Ma’rifah Ashfia yang beralamat di Jl. Karang Anyar 2 Kelurahan Loktabat Utara Kota Banjarbaru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dua keluarga yang menjadi sumber informasi dalam penelitian telah mampu berperan walau masih terbilang dengan cara yang sederhana namun mereka menyadari bahwa mereka harus memberikan edukasi kepada anaknya tentang bagaimana berbusana, bagaimana bersikap dan bertingkah laku serta bagaimana mereka memperlakukan dirinya sendiri dengan baik. Tanpa disadari, orangtua-orangtua tersebut telah memberikan pendidikan seksual bagi anak-anaknya

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes by applying a problem-based learning (PBL) learning model on the material of glorifying Allah Swt. by submitting to his commands in class VII C at SMPN 4 Jawai. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) which consists of II cycles. This research includes four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research was conducted collaboratively between teachers and observers (researchers). The types of instruments used for data collection are student learning outcomes tests and teacher and student activity observation guideline sheets. The data obtained were analyzed quantitatively to determine individual completeness and classical completeness and qualitative data to determine the activities of students and teachers in the implementation of the problem-based learning model by students and teachers. The results of data analysis showed an increase in student learning outcomes, teacher activities and student activities in each cycle. The increase in learning outcomes is that the classical completeness of students increased from 60.71% (cycle I) to 89.28% (cycle II), or an increase of 28.57%. Meanwhile, the teacher activity value increased from 65.21% (cycle I) to 86.95% (cycle II) with an increase of 21.74%. Likewise, the value of student activity increased from 60.86% (cycle I) to 86.95% (cycle II) with an increase of 26.09%. Based on the results of the data analysis, the research was declared successful because the classical completeness was > 85, the teacher's activity was categorized as very good and the student activity was categorized as very active. Thus it can be concluded that the problem-based learning (PBL) model can improve student learning outcomes on the material of glorifying Allah Swt. by submitting to his commands in class VII C at SMPN 4 Jawai

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' understanding of the material Unity in Diversity and Democracy Will Increase in Islamic Religious Education subjects using the Everyone Is Teacher Here strategy for class XII students at SMA Negeri 1 Siantan, Mempawah Regency. The form of this research is classroom action research (PTK), using a quantitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique uses direct observation using observation sheets and measurements using measurement tests and instruments for students' understanding of the material: Unity in Diversity and Democracy Will Increase. The subjects of this research were class XII students of SMA Negeri 1 Siantan, Mempawah Regency. After the data was collected and analyzed, the results of the analysis showed that using the Everyone Is Teacher Here strategy could increase students' understanding of the material: Unity in Diversity and Democracy Will Increase. In Pre-Cycle, the percentage of students who complete is 35%. After implementing the Everyone Is Teacher Here strategy in Cycle I, the percentage of students who completed it increased to 60%, and in Cycle II it increased again to 80%. So it can be concluded that the Everyone Is Teacher Here strategy in increasing students' understanding of the material Unity in Diversity and Democracy will increase in the Islamic Religious Education subject in class XII of SMA Negeri 1 Siantan, Mempawah Regency.

Abstract

Membaca kritis merupakan keterampilan kognitif penting yang memungkinkan individu untuk memahami, menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan menafsirkan teks secara mendalam dan objektif. Di tengah derasnya arus informasi di era digital, kemampuan ini menjadi semakin krusial dalam memilah informasi yang relevan dan valid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam konsep membaca kritis, faktor-faktor penentunya, manfaat yang dapat diperoleh, serta strategi efektif yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur melalui analisis sistematis terhadap jurnal ilmiah terpilih dari bidang linguistik, pendidikan, dan psikologi kognitif yang diperoleh melalui database akademik bereputasi. Temuan utama penelitian menunjukkan bahwa membaca kritis melibatkan keterampilan berpikir analitis, reflektif, evaluatif, serta kemampuan mengenali bias dan struktur argumen dalam teks. Faktor penentu kemampuan membaca kritis mencakup latar belakang pendidikan, pengalaman membaca, kompetensi bahasa, serta lingkungan pembelajaran yang kondusif. Strategi efektif yang direkomendasikan berdasarkan temuan kajian meliputi teknik SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review), pemetaan konsep, penggunaan pertanyaan model 5W+1H, serta analisis kritis terhadap struktur argumen. Penerapan strategi ini dapat membantu individu mengembangkan pola pikir yang sistematis, kritis, dan reflektif. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi penting bahwa membaca kritis perlu diintegrasikan secara sistematis dalam kurikulum pendidikan untuk meningkatkan kesiapan peserta didik dalam menghadapi tantangan global. Oleh karena itu, keterlibatan pendidik, lembaga pendidikan, serta pemangku kebijakan sangat diperlukan dalam upaya memperkuat literasi membaca kritis di masyarakat

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan deskripsi tentang pemanfaatan Aplikasi Kahoot sebagai media pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di sekolah perbatasan yaitu SMAN 2 Temajuk. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dimana pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan observasi dan juga wawancara kepada guru bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa aplikasi kahoot sangat membantu proses tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris secara kognitif. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan bagaimana para mahasiswa mulai untuk memahami teks bahasa Inggris dan meningkatnya kosa kata siswa. Hal ini juga dikarenakan aplikasi kahoot memberikan pengalaman belajar dengan kuis yang menarik bagi mereka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji keefektifan penggunaan KIT IPA Terpadu berbasis sustainability dalam meningkatkan kemampuan science inquiry siswa pada konsep perubahan benda di SMP Negeri 03 Teluk Keramat. KIT yang dikembangkan mengintegrasikan prinsip-prinsip keberlanjutan dalam materi dan aktivitas pembelajaran, sehingga tidak hanya menyampaikan konten sains, tetapi juga menumbuhkan kesadaran terhadap keberlanjutan lingkungan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian R&D (research and development). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group design. Desain ini dipilih karena tidak memungkinkan untuk mengacak secara acak subjek ke dalam kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol, namun tetap memungkinkan dilakukan perbandingan antara dua kelompok melalui pemberian pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran ini memiliki karakteristik yang mampu mendorong terbentuknya pola pikir berkelanjutan serta secara signifikan berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan science inquiry peserta didik. Keberhasilan ini ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan keterampilan siswa dalam mengamati, merumuskan masalah, membuat hipotesis, merancang eksperimen, dan menarik kesimpulan. Dengan demikian, KIT IPA Terpadu berbasis sustainability dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam pengembangan pembelajaran IPA yang kontekstual, bermakna, dan berorientasi pada pembentukan kompetensi abad ke-21.
