Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the British EIC (East India Company) on the process of the collapse of the Mughal Empire, researching from the economic stage to the political field in the Indian subcontinent. This article uses qualitative research of a library nature. Library research uses library data, as well as analysis of each source. After collecting several sources, it emerged that the British with their EIC controlled India starting with controlling trade in all strategic areas of the Indian subcontinent as well as collaborating with local residents, and influencing the rulers to obtain more facilities and trade monopoly opportunities. Then, after the rise of the EIC Economy, the next step was to slowly control politics by influencing local regional policies up to the Mughal Empire and carrying out divisive politics in order to prioritize the position of the EIC in India. So it can be concluded that the EIC was the starting point for imperialism in the Indian subcontinent, from economic control to political influence.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges faced by history teachers in vocational high schools in designing, implementing, and assessing learning activities in alignment with the Merdeka Curriculum framework. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques, including observation, interviews, and document analysis. The data collected were analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The findings reveal that the primary challenges faced by history teachers in vocational high schools include difficulties in formulating learning outcomes, learning objectives, and the flow of learning objectives. These difficulties hinder teachers' ability to design and develop teaching modules that meet students' needs. Additionally, limited proficiency in using technology and inadequate learning facilities compound the complexities of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. To address these challenges, school stakeholders must demonstrate a strong commitment to providing specialized training for teachers to enhance their understanding and capabilities in managing learning processes in accordance with the curriculum's principles. Moreover, improvements in learning facilities are essential to support the effective implementation of the curriculum.

Abstract

Since the time of the Islamic kings, mosques have become the center of Islamic activities throughout the Archipelago. Mosques function as educational institutions, centers for spiritual growth, and social interaction within the community, in addition to being places of worship. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the role of mosques in Islamic education in the Archipelago from both historical and modern perspectives. The study's findings indicate that mosques have played an important role in the lives of Muslims as centers of social interaction, education, and conversation in addition to being places of worship. Mosques have now evolved into more comprehensive activity centers that encompass outreach, social, health, and educational services. This evolution shows how mosques can be flexible and adapt to the needs of the community and the changes of the times.

Abstract

The writing is motivated by the history of Indonesian currency after independence which is not well recorded. The purpose of the writing is to find facts on (1) the history of the Republic of Indonesia Banten Regional Currency (URIDAB) in 1947-1949; (2) the political and economic influence of the Republic of Indonesia Banten Regional Currency (URIDAB) for the Banten community in the struggle to maintain Indonesian independence in 1947-1949. The writing of the thesis uses the historical method through four stages, namely heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, historiography. The results of the study show that the arrival of the Dutch made the political and economic conditions of Indonesia after independence very chaotic in the midst of the conditions of the newly independent Indonesia. These conditions fostered enthusiasm for the central government in Yogyakarta and the Banten Residency community and became a factor in the printing of URIDAB. The influence of URIDAB in the political field is the main symbol of an independent country and as a tool of struggle. In the economic field, it is as a legal tender and regulates price control.

The purpose of this study is to explore the history and development of the Kepaksian Bejalan Diway Kingdom, analyze the role of traditional leaders in implementing social life, examine the relationship between Belasa Kepampang and the culture of the Lampung Sai Batin community, and reveal the key factors behind the persistence of cultural and social life in the Paksi Pak Sekala Brak Traditional Kingdom. The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including observation, documentation, literature studies, and interviews with traditional leaders and the Kembahang Village community. The findings show that the Kepaksian Bejalan Diway Kingdom is part of the Paksi Pak Sekala Brak Kingdom, which continues to uphold its customs to this day. Its history traces back to the transformation of the Hindu Sekala Brak Kingdom into the Islamic Kepaksian Kingdom following the arrival of four umpu from Pagaruyung. The role of traditional leaders is crucial in maintaining social harmony through the practice of Piil Pesenggiri values, such as Juluk Adek, Nemui Nyimah, Nengah Nyappur, and Sakai Sambayan. The relationship with Belasa Kepampang reflects the interconnectedness of local beliefs and the formation of the Sai Batin community's cultural identity. The primary factors sustaining the kingdom's existence are the community’s adherence to tradition, strong communication among the various kingdoms, and collective awareness of preserving ancestral culture.
