Mestaka: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat diterbitkan pada tahun 2022 oleh CV. Pakis Journal. Jurnal ini menerbitkan artikel-artikel yang memuat hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh dosen, mahasiswa, kalangan akademis lainnya, maupun pihak umum. Tujuan jurnal ini adalah sebagai media untuk menyebarluaskan ide pemikiran konseptual maupun gagasan hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dari semua disiplin keilmuan. Terbit sebanyak 6 kali pada bulan Februari, April, Juni, Agustus, Oktober, dan Desember setiap tahunnya.

<![CDATA[Boarding school education has a positive impact on children's spiritual development and religious knowledge. However, the intensive learning process can also have a negative impact on their overall growth. The students spend most of their time in class learning religious teachings and texts, which while beneficial for knowledge, often leads to a lack of focus on important life skills. As a result, many students may not acquire basic skills such as cooking and others necessary to navigate life outside of their religious institution. In response to these issues, a community service activity focusing on cooking training for alumni of Pondok Pesantren Mamba'us Sholihin Gresik was organized. This training aims to equip the alumni with the skills to prepare typical Eid dishes. The implementation of this training includes preparation and implementation stages. Overall, the participants enjoyed the experience and expressed confidence to try the recipes at home. Feedback was mostly positive, with some participants expressing interest in selling their cakes. However, there were some challenges encountered, mainly related to the use of premium ingredients that may not be financially affordable for some participants. In addition, the limited availability of necessary cooking equipment may hinder their ability to practice independently.]]>

<![CDATA[Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is a guide that contains instructions used to ensure the operational activities of an organization or company run smoothly. PT Karcia Sentosa Utama is a company engaged in logistics or freight forwarder with a core part of the business in the form of cross-border cargo and logistics services. PT Karcia Sentosa Utama has legality in running a freight forwarding and cargo service business. All of this is intended so that the business always has the best standards in running a business and serving consumers. The problem experienced by PT Karcia Sentosa Utama is that it does not have a Company SOP so that SOP design and implementation has been carried out at PT Karcia Sentosa Utama. The data collection technique used in this report is to use qualitative research. This qualitative research uses interview, observation and documentation methods. After implementing the company's SOP to PT Karcia Sentosa Utama, it can be analyzed and found that the results of work in the company that the company's conditions have improved in the flow of the company's work system and the work performance of employees in the company, work has become more organized, easy to do, employees are more enthusiastic about working and more focused on work. Based on the results and outcomes achieved for the implementation of the Company's SOP to PT. Karcia Sentosa Utama, there are several suggestions submitted by the author, namely Conducting future observations and monitoring of the implementation of the company's SOP for work at PT. Karcia Sentosa Utama so that it can adjust the SOP & correct errors in the SOP if they occur and training must be carried out for new employees of PT. Karcia Sentosa Utama.]]>

<![CDATA[Olsera Indonesia Pratama, which has the Olsera brand, is a startup company that operates in the point of sales sector. The Point of Sales system is an innovative system that makes it easier for people to carry out business transactions. PT Olsera is a technology-based company. This company is called technology-based because it uses a system supported by cloud storage. Olsera sells a system to help MSMEs in Indonesia but does not use it in the company's own operational activities. Olsera has a lot of work done manually. such as sales recording which is only done using Excel. If done manually continuously, work effectiveness will decrease and a lot of time will be wasted. This internship activity was carried out to assist Olsera's finance team in carrying out recording using a point of sales system so that the work carried out could be more effective and efficient. This internship activity is carried out by means of observation and interviews. The results of implementing the use of the system are that the finance team's activities become more efficient and effective, reducing company expenses, more effective financial control and faster financial reporting.]]>

<![CDATA[Early marriage in Indonesia states that the minimum age for marriage is under 19 years old for men and women. Early marriage has an impact ranging from the risk of stunted babies, maternal and infant deaths, health problems, disharmonious marriages, to aspects of education and self-development that are hampered, even triggering domestic violence and poverty. The method used for education about early marriage at SMPIT Al-Adzkia Sentul Tembelang Jombang. is by providing Health Education about the impact of early marriage through educational video media. Community service activities ran in an orderly and smooth manner, showing that there was an increase in students' understanding of the impact of early marriage after being treated with 50 students with a percentage of 77%-82%, compared to before participating in group guidance where the level of student understanding was in the low category with a percentage of 40%-55% each. Participants in community service activities were ± 50 people. Participants were very enthusiastic and communicative with the speakers. Conclusion: Education about early marriage needs to continue to be carried out continuously by involving students, teachers, parents and the surrounding community to create a family/home environment, schools and communities so that it can reduce the rate of early marriage.]]>

<![CDATA[Women's empowerment is crucial in boosting the local economy, including in Pandan Krajan Village. Cocoa products that are still not maximally utilized by the community can be of economic value to the family and the income of a village community. The purpose of this service activity is to empower entrepreneurship for PKK mothers through cocoa ice chocolate training. The service was carried out in Pandan Krajan Village, Kemlagi District, Mojokerto Regency in December 2024. Women's Empowerment with PKK mothers who have an interest in entrepreneurship. The entrepreneurship empowerment program for PKK mothers in home-based businesses through cocoa chocolate ice training in Pandan Krajan Village is a cocoa chocolate ice training program implemented in Pandan Krajan Village has shown positive results in empowering PKK mothers. The conclusions that can be presented from this service program are Skills Improvement, Income Source Creation, Social Empowerment, and Model Inspiration for Other Villages.]]>

<![CDATA[Tomatoes as an agricultural commodity have perishable characteristics. This situation encourages efforts to increase longer shelf life, one of which is processed into fruit pollen products, where the product has eliminated water content in the manufacturing process. The purpose of this community service is to provide training in making tomato fruit pollen to increase added value. This Community Service activity was carried out in Pacet Village, Pacet District, Mojokerto Regency for 2 (two) months which included preparation, implementation and preparation of Community Service reports, which were carried out from September to November 2024. Data analysis was carried out descriptively qualitative. The stages of community service activities begin with coordination with the village hall to carry out training assistance in making tomato fruit pollen, then coordination with the head of the North Pacet Village RW to invite tomato farmers to attend the training event at the RW chairman's house. The process of making tomato fruit pollen includes: (1) Preparation of tools and materials; (2) Washing; (3) Tomato Fruit Slicing; (4) Drying; (5) Grinding; and (6) Packaging. Based on discussions with farmers, many farmers do not understand that tomato fruit can be processed into several agricultural products with higher added value such as when tomato fruit can be processed into flour or tomato pollen.]]>

<![CDATA[Plumbon Village is one of the villages located in Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency. Plumbon Village has a very strategic location and has the support for the development of the potential of the agribusiness and tourism sectors. The partner in this community service activity is Plumbon Village. The methods used in this community service are (1) identification of partner problems, (2) counseling on the development of agribusiness and tourism potential, (3) evaluation of activities. The problem faced by partners is that the potential in Plumbon Village has not been optimally utilized to improve community welfare. The purpose of this community service activity is to develop the potential of the agribusiness and tourism sectors in Plumbon Village. The development of the potential of the agribusiness and tourism sectors can be carried out with several strategies, including making tourism icons that have certain attraction such as educational tourism, utilizing social media account as a means of promotion, and making educational tourism posters. Based on the results of the implementation of community service, participants were enthusiastic in participating in the activity. It is hoped that this community service activity can provide new insights for partners and can have a positive impact on the progress of Plumbon Village and improve community welfare.]]>

<![CDATA[Yaws is a tropical skin disease that can cause serious complications if left untreated. The border area between Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Muara Tami district, Jayapura, Papua, is one of the endemic areas for yaws with limited access to health services. This community service activity aims to conduct early detection of yaws in children in the area using the rapid diagnostic test (RDT) method. The activity was carried out at the Moso Village Health Center, Muara Tami district. Samples were taken purposively, with the inclusion criteria being children under 15 years of age who live in Moso village. Yaws examination using RDT was carried out on 17 children, followed by treatment for those who tested positive. There were 4 positive cases of yaws or 23.52% detected from 17 participants who had received RDT examination. In addition, the achievement of this activity has educated parents of yaws screening participants about the symptoms and prevention of yaws so that it can increase the capacity of the local health system and public awareness in efforts to eliminate yaws. The prevalence of yaws in the border area is still quite high. The use of RDT has proven effective for the detection and monitoring of yaws, although there are still challenges in ensuring compliance and completion of treatment. Long-term monitoring is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention comprehensively.]]>

<![CDATA[The batik-making training, which combines stamping and brush techniques held in Girilayu, Matesih, Karanganyar, aims to enhance the skills of the Giriarum batik group members. As a center for traditional hand-drawn batik, Girilayu has significant potential to expand the variety of batik products it offers. In this training, participants are taught how to blend traditional hand-drawn batik techniques with modern methods such as stamping and brushing. The goal is for participants to create batik curtains that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly marketable. In addition to technical training, the training emphasizes the importance of business development aspects, including the selection of high-quality raw materials, the creation of innovative product designs, and the implementation of effective marketing strategies to enhance product competitiveness. With this knowledge, participants are expected to become more self-reliant and capable of expanding their batik market.]]>

Regardless of the organization's or company's objectives, their implementation and management ultimately depend on human effort. If employee performance does not align with the company's goals, it can result in a decline in overall organizational performance. To address this issue, an analysis of the recruitment and selection system employed by the company is necessary. The methods used to gather data include interviews and observations. The outcome of this practical work is the development of material on effective recruitment and selection processes, followed by an analysis of the recruitment and selection procedures currently implemented by the company.]]>
