Abstract

Indonesia as a country with cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity presents challenges in building tolerance between religious communities. Islamic education has an important role in fostering a tolerant attitude through a multicultural approach, which integrates the value of respect for differences in the learning process. This study aims to explore the strategy of multicultural Islamic education in fostering tolerance, identify the challenges faced, and provide strategic recommendations for the development of a more inclusive Islamic education curriculum and policy. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a literature review, which involves the study of literature from books, journals, articles, and academic sources related to multicultural Islamic education and tolerance. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively to identify strategies and challenges in their implementation. The results of the study show that effective strategies include the integration of multicultural values in the curriculum, teacher training to improve competence in teaching tolerance, and the use of dialogical methods that involve students and the community. Significant challenges include cultural resistance, limited educational resources, and negative perceptions of pluralism. The implications of this study are the importance of improving teacher training, developing an inclusive curriculum, and increasing public awareness of pluralism. Abstract

Students have the main task of studying and fully participating in academic and non-academic campus activities. Memorizing the Qur'an / tahfidz al-Qur'an is the process of inserting the verses of the Qur'an into the heart and mind so that they are not lost. In memorizing the Qur'an, not all memorization has the same capacity, namely being able to memorize easily and quickly. Of course, there are ways / methods for each in achieving memorization. In this case, tahfidz students or memorizers of the Qur'an who are in Islamic boarding schools have a double task, first: studying campus courses, second: memorizing the verses of the Qur'an. Self-efficacy in memorizing the Qur'an is an individual's belief in the ability to achieve goals and the ability to overcome problems or obstacles to memorizing the Qur'an. This study aims to determine the role of self-efficacy in students in memorizing the Qur'an. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method, through observation and interview techniques. The conclusion of this study shows that self-efficacy affects memorization of the Qur'an in students. Memorizing the Qur'an will be achieved well through: first, individuals have self-enthusiasts so that they form behavior in completing memorization tasks. Second, individuals say they are unable due to lack of experience in successfully achieving the target of memorizing the Qur'an. In addition, the results of this study still have a gap with the theory that high self-efficacy guarantees successful memorization. While the level of memorization success is also determined by internal and external conditions.

Abstract

The advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has significantly transformed education, particularly in assessment and personalized learning. This study explores the implementation of AI in senior high schools (SMA) in Tulungagung Regency, focusing on its impact on evaluation processes and individualized learning experiences. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, data was collected through in-depth interviews with teachers and students, classroom observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that AI-driven assessment enables faster, more objective, and adaptive evaluations by analyzing student performance in real time. AI can identify learning patterns, detect areas requiring improvement, and adjust question difficulty according to individual capabilities. Additionally, AI enhances personalized learning by recommending tailored learning materials, providing interactive content, and adapting instructional methods to suit diverse learning styles. This fosters greater student engagement, comprehension, and motivation. Despite these advantages, several challenges hinder AI implementation. Limited technological infrastructure, insufficient access to digital devices, and unstable internet connectivity in some schools pose significant barriers. Moreover, low digital literacy among educators and students complicates the integration of AI into daily learning activities. Ethical concerns regarding data privacy and security also require attention to prevent misuse of student information. To maximize AI’s potential in education, policymakers must invest in technological infrastructure, expand digital access, and provide ongoing training for teachers and students. With the right strategies, AI can revolutionize education by creating a more inclusive, efficient, and adaptive learning environment, preparing students for future academic and professional success.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education in encouraging students to become more critical of social issues. This research methodology uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques to explore how anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education affects students' critical attitudes. In qualitative research, in-depth interviews also allow researchers to collect rich and detailed data for thorough analysis, which allows them to understand thoroughly, deeply, and contextually the experiences of the interviewees. Participants consisted of 15 students from various majors in higher education who had attended anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education programmes. The selection of participants was purposive to ensure diversity of perspectives. The results showed that anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education significantly increased students' awareness of the negative impact of corruption and the importance of integrity. However, some students also expressed concerns about the lack of transparency and accountability on campus, which may hinder the effectiveness of anti-corruption education. Therefore, this study emphasises the need for a more contextual, participatory and sustainable approach in the implementation of anti-corruption and de-radicalisation education, as well as support from various parties to create a conducive environment for the implementation of integrity values.
