Abstract

This qualitative study aims to describe the competencies of mathematics teachers from the perspective of secondary school students in West Sulawesi, especially related to which aspects need to be developed. Data collection in this study used a survey with open-ended questions that asked students to submit responses, criticisms, or suggestions regarding their teachers' performance in learning mathematics. The survey lasted for 4 weeks, in July 2024. The population of this study was all secondary school students in West Sulawesi and the sample of this study was 1012 students consisting of 559 high school students and 453 junior high school students in West Sulawesi. Data analysis techniques in this study employed three stages consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings showed that there are still numerous secondary school students (junior and senior high school) in West Sulawesi who are not satisfied with the mathematics learning they experience, particularly regarding the competence of their mathematics teachers. From the students' viewpoint, there are still numerous aspects of the four competencies of secondary school mathematics teachers (personality, pedagogic, professional, and social) in West Sulawesi that need to be further developed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the use of SIAKAD, inhibiting and supporting factors for the use of SIAKAD, and the impact of the use of academic information system technology in providing academic services to students of Sembilanbelas November University Kolaka. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, the research informants are 12 permanent employees, 30 students of Sembilanbelas November University Kolaka. Data collection was carried out using observation, interview, and documentation instruments. The results of the study indicate that the use of SIAKAD has not been maximized, there are still many obstacles in its implementation, namely the network system often experiences disruptions, inhibiting factors include; weak network, unavailability of computer facilities in accessing the academic portal/siakad online in each building and supporting factors include; availability of adequate access devices, both hardware, software and networks, financial support from the leadership, and the impact of SIAKAD is widely felt, including being able to see the requested data, especially academic data, for students themselves it becomes faster because it is connected to the internet, efficient because they do not need to come to campus but can be done at home or via the internet wherever they are.

Abstract

The development of increasingly advanced technology has a very rapid impact on all aspects of people's lives, including in the fields of knowledge and education. Technology in the field of education is one of the supporting media for the implementation of education itself, one of which is the use of Interactive Flat Panel Display (IFPD) media. The purpose of this study is to examine more deeply the use of Interactive Flat Panel Display (IFPD) media in Social Studies Learning for Madrasah Students. This research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darwata Sikampuh, with the research subjects being teachers and fifth-grade students, and the research object of the use of IFPD in social studies learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive research, with the type of field research (Filed Research). Data collection is carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles Huberman technique by reducing data first, presenting the data that had been reduced, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this study show that the use of IFPD media at MI Darwata Sikampuh is carried out through several stages, starting from the planning stage, the resource and media stage, the stage of using IFPD media and the learning evaluation stage. The impact of using IFPD in learning has various positive impacts on the student learning process, namely increasing student involvement and participation, increasing motivation and interest in learning, facilitating understanding of complex concepts, increasing collaboration and cooperation, increasing creativity and technological skills, improving critical and analytical thinking skills, accelerating feedback and evaluation, increasing adaptability in learning, improving digital literacy skills, reducing boredom in learning.

Abstract

It is necessary to conduct an analysis with accurate and current modeling regarding engineering aptitude-mechanical Reasoning. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the aptitude-mechanical reasoning technique with Rasch analysis. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional study design. This study was conducted at the Faculty of Engineering, Ogan Komering Ilir Kayuagung Islamic University (UNISKI). The subjects of this study were selected by purposive sampling, so the number of participants in this study was 62 engineering students. The instrument used in this study was an adoption test from MacKellar's book entitled Mechanical, Spatial, Abstract Reasoning. The research data were analyzed using the RASCH Model Analysis using the WINSTEP application. Based on the validity and reliability analysis results, the instrument for measuring engineering aptitude in this study was valid and matched the characteristics of Rasch modelling. The fit/suitability test results with Rasch modelling showed that only 1 participant did not meet two criteria, so they were classified as unfit. The results of the DIF analysis showed that the item that experienced bias with a probability of 0.0002 <0.05 was item number 17; it was seen that the item was straightforward to answer by the mechanical engineering study program, resulting in data bias between the two study programs. The results of the LVP analysis show that the engineering aptitude category is dominated by the moderate category, 73.07% for mechanical engineering study programs and 77.14% for civil engineering study programs.

Abstract

User-generated microgames, as very small games created by individual users or communities, have garnered great attention in educational research for their potential to enhance learning experiences. To the best of our knowledge, how preservice teachers’ responses, beliefs and knowledge about these microgames are still not completely understood. The present study attempts to understand pre-service elementary school teachers’ attitudes, perceived usefulness and knowledge of utilising user-generated microgames for teaching. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with the participation of 150 pre-service elementary school teachers from three different teacher education universities located in Jakarta, Kudus, and Pangkalpinang, Indonesia. The results indicate that teachers generally hold positive attitudes toward using user-generated microgames in teaching and recognise their usefulness as instructional tools for enhancing engagement and teaching quality. They demonstrate confidence in their technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK), particularly in selecting and implementing these microgames and addressing diverse learning modalities. However, variability in overall responses and a lower confidence in extracting essential information from the games highlight areas requiring further professional development in future endeavours.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk menjelaskan hubungan supervisi akademik kepala sekolah, modal psikologi dan pemanfaatan PMM terhadap mutu pendidikan mutu pendidikan sekolah dasar Kecamatan Subah Kabupaten Batang. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Hasil uji normalitas X1 = 0,172, X2= 0,156, Y = 0,177 yang artinya lebih besar dari 0,05 maka data berdistribusi normal. Selanjutnya uji linieritas pemanfaatan PMM dengan mutu pendidikan yang dihitung dengan koefisian korelasi adalah 0,172 lebih dari 0,05. Hasil uji multikolinieritas menunjukkan bahwa data memiliki nilai VIF sebesar 1,008 yang artinya kurang dari 10 dan nilai Tolerance yaitu 0,992 lebih dari 0,10 maka tidak terjadi hubungan multikolinieritas. Uji hipotesis didapatkan nilai sig f change adalah 0,955. Jadi, dari hasil yang diperoleh tersebut dapat dinyatakan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hasil penelitian (1)Sejumlah 81% supervise akademik kepala sekolah dalam kategori sangat baik dengan rata-rata sebesar 85,06 artinya supervise akademik kepala sekolah se kecamatan Subah Kabupaten Batang selalu melakukan supervise akademik. (2) Sejumlah 94% pemanfaatan PMM dalam kategori sangat baik dengan rata-rata sebesar 86,71 artinya pemanfaatan PMM oleh guru di sekolah dasar Kecamatan Subah Kabupaten Batang. (3) Ada hubungan yang positif 0,955 antara supervisi akademik dan pemanfaatan PMM dengan mutu pendidikan di sekolah dasar Kecamatan Subah Kabupaten Batang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini difokuskan 1) Untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis perencanaan strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru, pengorganisasian strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru, pengarahan strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru, kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru SD Negeri Gondang 02 Kecamatan Subah Kabupaten Batang. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan data wawancara yang diperoleh, peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa dengan adanya pengawasan dari kepala sekolah, komite dan orang tua dapatlah meningkatkan kinerja guru agar menjadi lebih baik. Selain itu guru juga perlu adanya evaluasi mandiri agar dapat dengan baik mengetahui kekurangan dan hambatan yang dihadapi. Mengetahui kekurangan dan hambatan maka guru dapat menemukan solusi terbaik untuk mengatasinya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi kepemimpinan kepala sekolah diimplementasikan melalui berbagai kegiatan, termasuk proses perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pengawasan dan pengarahan yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah. Strategi kepala sekolah sangat penting bagi setiap kegiatan individu atau kelompok untuk mencapai hasil yang diinginkan. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berorientasi pada proses, yang berarti bahwa kepemimpinan membutuhkan sumber daya manusia, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan untuk membuat kegiatan menjadi lebih efisien atau mampu menghasilkan hasil yang mencapai keberhasilan

Abstract

The paper aims to explore in depth how to support children's holistic development, particularly through strengthening social-emotional aspects at Tadika Al-Fikh Orchad Malaysia. This research applies a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through three main techniques: interviews, observation, and documentation analysis. Data analysis used a qualitative descriptive analysis method consisting of three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The results of the research show that the role of teachers in early childhood education has a broader scope than just teaching academic material. In Tadika Al-Fikh Orchard Malaysia, teachers act as emotional companions, role models, and facilitators in children's character building. This role is implemented through strategic approaches such as the application of teaching materials by the curriculum, Morning Circle reflective activities, emotional expression-oriented games, and stories containing moral values, showing that an approach integrated with social and emotional values can strengthen the balance of child development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pentingnya pendidikan kewarganegaraan sebagai mata kuliah wajib dalam rangka menjaga dan menumbuhkan sikap nasionalisme di kalangan generasi muda, khususnya mahasiswa. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah kekhawatiran terhadap melemahnya nilai-nilai kebangsaan di era globalisasi dan modernisasi yang semakin kuat memengaruhi pola pikir serta sikap generasi milenial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan secara mendalam pengaruh pendidikan kewarganegaraan terhadap sikap nasionalisme mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan kewarganegaraan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran dan sikap nasionalisme mahasiswa. Lingkungan kampus yang mendukung, serta penyampaian materi kewarganegaraan yang kontekstual dan relevan, mampu memperkuat rasa cinta tanah air, tanggung jawab sosial, serta keterlibatan aktif dalam kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Dengan demikian, pendidikan kewarganegaraan berperan penting sebagai benteng ideologis dalam menjaga identitas dan jati diri bangsa di tengah arus perubahan zaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Menginternalisasi Kearifan lokal masyarakat Melayu Bangka melalui Pengembangan Cerita Anak dengan memanfaatkan Teknologi Augmented Reality sebagai Penguatan Literasi Siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) untuk menghasilkan produk tertentu dan menguji keefektifan produk tersebut. Hasil penelitian dari pengembangan cerita anak dengan menginternalisasi kearifan lokal masyarakat Melayu menunjukkan bahwa hasil persentase validasi media 87% kategori sangat layak, persentase ahli materi 86% dengan kategori sangat praktis, ahli bahasa 87% kategori sangat layak. Hasil uji coba terbatas menunjukkan angka 84, 62% dengan kategori sangat layak, dan pada uji coba luas data efektivitas menujukkan angka 91%, terjadi peningkatan yang mengonfirmasi konsistensi efektivitas buku cerita di berbagai konteks penggunaan yang lebih luas. Pengujian terbatas dan luas menunjukkan kepraktisan sebesar 84,62% dan 91%, hal ini berarti buku cerita tersebut tidak hanya memenuhi kebutuhan literasi pada anak-anak dalam jenjang pendidikan B2-B3 tetapi juga berhasil memperkenalkan dan menginternalisasi kearifan lokal Bangka dengan cara yang mudah dipahami dan menarik. Secara keseluruhan, hasil pengujian ini menunjukkan bahwa buku cerita anak dengan internalisasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Melayu Bangka ini sangat layak untuk diterapkan secara luas sebagai media penguatan literasi.
