Abstract

Linguistically, Islamic education has the equivalent of Arabic words in the form of tarbiyah, ta'lim, and ta'dib. After reviewing the meanings of the three languages, each of them has a characteristic that has consequences on different target fields. Tarbiyah is more directed to the physical- material aspect; ta'lim leads more to cognitive-intellectual aspects ; ta'dib is more directed towards moral-spiritual aspects. In the study of Naquib al-Attas, in fact the Arabic language which is more appropriate to be used as the equivalent of Islamic education is ta'dib, because ta'dib contains words that focus on the formation of a moral-affective domain, where it is the essence of the goals of Islamic education. However, the study of al-Attas was not automatically agreed upon by other Muslim scientists. Many of them are pro, but not a few contra. Ijtihad al-Attas about ta'dib, although it produced a monumental finding, tarbiyah is still popularly applied in pointing out the language of Islamic education.

Abstract

The failure of the conventional economic system has been clear in world economic history. The occurrence of global crises is the result of the application of the interest system as a result of capitalism and the collapse of the Soviet Union as a tangible form of the failure of the socialist economic system led to the awareness of economists to review the two conventional systems and even require other alternatives that are more ethical and humane so that the same thing does not happen. The Islamic economic system meets these criteria. However, the Islamic economic system cannot be implemented without the support of knowledge about the characteristics and design of the Islamic economy. This study aims to explore the concepts of Islamic economics that are unique compared to the conventional economic system, the design of Islamic economics, and its implementation to anticipate the global crisis. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review method. Data were obtained from scientific journals, books, and official documents relevant to the research topic. The analysis is done descriptively analytically to explore the main characteristics of Islamic economics and develop the system design. The results show that the Islamic economic system that offers a profit-sharing system, as applied in Islamic banks, is resilient in the face of the global crisis. In addition, the impact of the worldwide crisis that adversely affects poverty can be overcome through the instruments of Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf, which are therefore essential to institutionalize and manage properly, transparently and accountably.

Abstract

Unregistered Waqf is still a common problem in West Tanjung Jabung Regency, which can cause legal disputes and hinder the optimization of waqf benefits for the community. Many waqf assets are only declared verbally or through private deeds without official registration by applicable legal provisions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze legal protection for unregistered Waqf through the Waqf isbat mechanism at the Kuala Tungkal Religious Court and the role of judges in determining waqf isbat through legal ijtihad. This study uses a normative juridical method with a statute and conceptual approach. Research data were obtained through observation, interviews with judges at the Kuala Tungkal Religious Court, and studies of relevant documents. The results of the study indicate that waqf isbat is an effective legal instrument in providing legal protection for unregistered Waqf because court decisions can be the basis for nazhir to make official registrations at the Indonesian Waqf Agency (BWI) and the National Land Agency (BPN). Judges in deciding waqf isbat cases are not only guided by applicable regulations but also carry out legal ijtihad by considering maqashid al-shariah to ensure the benefit of Waqf and its legal certainty. However, there are obstacles in the implementation of waqf isbat, such as long administrative procedures and lack of coordination between related institutions, so it is necessary to simplify procedures and harmonize regulations to increase the effectiveness of waqf isbat in protecting unrecorded waqf assets. Thus, waqf isbat can be a more optimal legal solution in guaranteeing the legal status and sustainability of waqf benefits for Muslims in Indonesia.

Good motor skills can improve children's cognitive abilities, which ultimately support the development of students at the Pandan Jaya guidance studio and impact cognitive development and improved learning outcomes. This study examines the effectiveness of the Islamic STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) Learning approach in improving students' creativity and motor skills by making miniature mosques from ice cream sticks at the Pandan Jaya Guidance Studio, Malaysia. Creativity and motor skills are two important aspects in children's development that are interrelated and support the learning process holistically. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a participatory method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation of students directly involved in practical activities. The study's findings indicate a strong connection between students' involvement in creative activities and the development of their motor skills. Students who actively participated in art and physical activities were observed to have better body coordination and demonstrated more innovative thinking patterns. The observations also revealed that an interactive and spiritually enriched learning environment enhanced the Islamic STEAM approach's effectiveness in supporting cognitive and non-cognitive development. Based on these findings, this study recommends the integration of Islamic value-based STEAM learning into the children's educational curriculum, both in formal and non-formal settings.
