Abstract

The slope and drainage reinforcement project on the Paksebali–Selat Provincial Road section involves a relatively high potential for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) risks due to excavation works, concrete casting, the use of heavy equipment, and hazardous working environment conditions. This study aims to identify extreme and high risks that may lead to work accidents and to determine appropriate OHS risk control measures for the project. The research method employed is a quantitative descriptive approach, with data collected through field observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. Risk assessment was conducted based on the AS/NZS 4360 standard by multiplying the probability and severity levels, whereas risk control was analyzed using the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle approach. The results indicated that the risks identified in this project fell into the extreme and high-risk categories, particularly in excavation works, road shoulder concrete casting, and heavy equipment mobilization. Potential hazards included landslides, being struck by equipment, and accidents caused by improper work methods. Risk control measures were implemented through improvements in work methods, enforcement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage, enhanced supervision, installation of safety signs, and the regular implementation of training and safety meetings. The application of appropriate risk control measures is expected to minimize workplace accidents and improve overall project safety performance.

Abstract

Based on the disparities in the implementation of activities in Quality Family Village (Kampung KB) in each region, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Kampung KB program in Banjarbaru City using a qualitative descriptive approach and comparative methodology. The object of this study is the effectiveness in the management of the Quality Family Village program, while the subject of this study is the manager responsible for the management of the Kampung KB. The results of the study reveal several factors that hinder the implementation of the Kampung KB program, thereby impacting its effectiveness. The KB Village in Guntung Manggis is one of the best Kampung KB, with all Working Groups (POKJA) actively providing guidance. This is despite limited funds and the managers' approach to the community. However, the managers have prioritized activities to ensure they remain effective and have a positive impact on the community, build bonds, and record and listen to the community's complaints and needs in terms of guidance. Meanwhile, Kampung KB Sungai Tiung is still trying to make its activities more effective by minimizing obstacles, particularly the lack of coordination between stakeholders in managing Kampung KB. Furthermore, weak community participation in Kampung KB activities remains an issue that continues to be discussed between managers and the community in an effort to improve the effectiveness of Kampung KB.

Abstract

Mathematical competence is closely related to daily problem-solving activities, especially those involving basic numerical operations. Nevertheless, many children still encounter difficulties in mastering arithmetic concepts, mainly because mathematics is often perceived as abstract and is delivered through less interactive learning methods. This study examines the impact of the Jarimatika learning method on improving addition and subtraction skills among students at TPQ Ied Salim Al-Anzi. A quantitative research design was applied, specifically a pre-experimental model using a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. The research subjects consisted of all 13 learners at the TPQ, selected through a total sampling technique. Data collection was conducted by administering arithmetic tests before and after the application of the Jarimatika method. The hypothesis proposed that there would be a meaningful difference in students’ mathematical performance before and after the intervention. The results revealed a notable increase in the average score, from 72.31 on the pre-test to 94.62 on the post-test. Further analysis using a Paired Sample t-test yielded a t-value of –3.277 with a significance value of 0.007 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant improvement. These findings suggest that the Jarimatika method effectively enhances basic arithmetic skills and can serve as an engaging and practical instructional strategy for elementary mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the impact of “Human Resource Competence, Accounting Digitalization, and Internal Control on the Quality of Financial Reports for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the Gunungpuyuh District of Sukabumi City”. The quality of financial reports plays a crucial role for MSMEs, as it supports accurate decision-making, ensures business operational continuity, and facilitates access to external funding sources. This study employs a quantitative approach through survey methods and multiple linear regression analysis, which allows for the measurement of the intensity and significance of the relationships between the independent and dependent variables. Data were collected from 100 respondents who are MSME actors in the Gunungpuyuh District, representing various business sectors and scales, thus providing a comprehensive view of the local MSME landscape. The research findings indicate that “Human Resource Competence, Accounting Digitalization, and Internal Control each have a positive and significant partial effect on the Quality of Financial Reports, with significance values of 0.001, 0.004, and 0.001, respectively. Collectively, these three independent variables also significantly influence the Quality of Financial Reports, as evidenced by the F-test with a significance value of 0.000. The coefficient of determination indicates that 82.4% of the variation in the Quality of Financial Reports can be explained by this research model, while the remaining 17.6% is influenced by other factors not addressed in this study”. To improve financial management practices among MSMEs in this region, targeted interventions are needed in three areas: human resource competency, effective accounting digitization, and internal control. This will help enhance the quality of financial reports for MSMEs.

Abstract

This study examines journalists’ perceptions of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the news production process at Harian Disway, a digital-native media outlet based in Surabaya. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, the study explores how journalists interpret, utilize, and evaluate AI within newsroom practices. The findings indicate that AI is primarily used as a technical assistant, particularly for translation, editing, and content optimization, rather than as a substitute for journalistic creative work. Journalists emphasize the necessity of human control because of AI’s limitations in factual accuracy and contextual understanding. Ethical concerns also emerge, particularly regarding excessive dependency on AI and the potential erosion of writing skills, particularly in feature writing. Drawing on Diffusion of Innovations Theory and Social Perception Theory, this study demonstrates that AI adoption at Harian Disway is selective, pragmatic, and firmly embedded within the framework of editorial ethics.

Abstract

Electric vehicles (EVs) are considered a key method for reducing transportation emissions, improving city air quality, and supporting sustainable travel. Although global EV sales have grown rapidly, the adoption rates differ by region. Many countries still face significant challenges in getting more people to use electric EVs. This study examines research on what affects people’s decisions to buy EVs. It uses a method to group the findings into six main areas: economic and financial, technological, behavioral and psychological, infrastructure and policy, socio-demographic, and market and industry factors. The study shows that economic factors, such as the price and total cost of owning an EV, are important for buyers. Technological factors such as battery range, charging time, and reliability also affect consumer trust. However, other factors such as how useful and easy to use people think EVs are, their environmental values, social influence, and what they know about EVs also matter. Policies and charging infrastructure are crucial, especially when they provide long-term support and reduce uncertainty. Industry factors, such as brand trust and aftersales service, help reduce perceived risks. Overall, the study suggests that to increase EV use, strategies need to be coordinated and specific to each area of focus. They should address costs, technology, trust, awareness, and everyday use, especially where EV adoption is low.

Abstract

This study examines the role of cinema and audiovisual media as strategic instruments for strengthening disaster literacy and risk communication in Indonesia through a qualitative Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the PRISMA framework. A total of 25 articles published between 2021 and 2025 were systematically selected from national indexed databases (SINTA and Garuda) and international academic platforms using keywords related to disaster films, educational media, and disaster literacy. The selected literature was analyzed using thematic synthesis and classified into four analytical dimensions: disaster representation, educational and literacy functions, social and psychological impacts, and mitigation and preparedness practices. The findings show that research in this field is largely oriented toward educational and mitigation perspectives, particularly through documentaries, animations, and digital learning media that convey disaster-related information in accessible and persuasive ways. Cinema is also understood as a cultural medium that integrates technical knowledge with emotional and social narratives, supporting the formation of collective awareness, empathy, and community engagement in disaster-prone areas. Audiovisual media further function as dialogical spaces linking formal education, community-based learning, and institutional risk communication strategies with implications for community preparedness and participatory disaster governance. This study contributes to the theoretical understanding of film as a medium of social representation and disaster communication, identifies gaps in long-term behavioral evaluation, and offers practical recommendations for integrating audio-visual media into disaster education and community outreach. Overall, cinema shows strong potential as a sustainable tool for strengthening disaster preparedness and enhancing social resilience in Indonesia.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in sustaining local economies in Indonesia, particularly in culturally embedded cities such as Surakarta. Despite their growing number and contribution to employment, many MSMEs remain vulnerable to economic shocks, technological disruption, and unequal access to digital resources. This study aims to examine the resilience of MSMEs in Surakarta by analyzing the interaction between digital transformation, Javanese cultural values, and the legal–institutional environment that shapes the digital economy. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study employs a literature review methodology drawing on peer-reviewed journal articles, government reports, and policy documents related to MSME resilience, digitalization, and local economic development. The findings indicate that Javanese cultural values, including gotong royong, nrimo ing pandum, tepa slira, and ajining dhiri, function as social capital that strengthens social cohesion, psychological endurance, and ethical business practices among MSME actors. Digital transformation contributes positively to business resilience by expanding market access and improving operational efficiency; however, its impact remains uneven due to disparities in digital literacy, human resource capacity, and institutional support. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of adaptive state regulation and legal certainty in ensuring inclusive digital transformation for MSMEs. This research concludes that MSME resilience in Surakarta emerges from the integration of cultural capital, digital capability, and responsive governance, underscoring the need for context-sensitive and collaborative policy approaches to support sustainable local economic development.
