Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the pesantren environment on the ability to memorize the Qur'an of students at the Darul Qur'an Tahfizh Islamic Boarding School. The study used a qualitative approach with observation and interview techniques in collecting data. The results showed that the pesantren environment provides significant support in the process of memorizing the Qur'an. Factors such as a calm environment, learning policies, measurable memorization targets, and strict regulations help increase the motivation and discipline of students. The conclusion of the study shows that a conducive pesantren environment has a positive impact on the ability to memorize the Qur'an.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara kritis pemikiran Al-Farabi mengenai emansi (emanasi) dan konsep metafisis Nur Muhammaddalam perspektif asal mula penciptaan alam semesta, serta relevansinya dengan sains modern. Al-Farabi, melalui teori emanasi, menjelaskan proses penciptaan kosmos secara hierarkis, yang berawal dari Tuhan sebagai Wujud Absolut hingga terciptanya alam material. Sementara itu, dalam tradisi tasawuf, konsep Nur Muhammad dipahami sebagai substansi primordial yang menjadi basis ontologis seluruh penciptaan. Kajian ini mengkontekstualisasikan kedua pemikiran tersebut dengan teori ilmiah kontemporer seperti Big Bang Theory dan mekanika kuantum (Quantum Mechanics). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pandangan filosofis dan spiritual dari tradisi Islam memiliki relevansi epistemologis yang signifikan dengan pendekatan ilmiah modern, sekaligus memperkuat interkoneksi antara dimensi religius dan ilmiah dalam memahami asal usul alam semesta

Abstract

This article aims to evaluate the implementation of the Read Write and Memorize Qur'an Program (BTHQ) at MI Ummu Kaltsum, Biringkanaya District, Makassar City using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. The method used is a qualitative approach with an evaluative descriptive design. Data collection was conducted through interviews and observations with the principal, program coaches, and parents/guardians of students. The evaluation results show that the BTHQ program has been running in accordance with the background and needs of religious education, although there are some obstacles, such as limited time and facilities. The input evaluation identified that the program coaches have adequate competence, but the limited number of coaches and facilities are a challenge in achieving the program objectives optimally. The program implementation process runs by using the Iqra' method, although there are obstacles such as damage to facilities and limited time. Product evaluation shows that the achievement of program objectives has not been maximized, with some students not yet fluent in reading the Qur'an. The implication of the results of this study is the need for improvement in terms of time allocation, additional coaches, and improved infrastructure to increase the effectiveness of the BTHQ program in the future.

Abstract

This study examines independent learning strategies. This study uses a qualitative approach with the main data source from library data. The data is analyzed qualitatively. Independent learning is a learning strategy that aims to build individual initiative, independence, and self-improvement. The focus is on independent learning planning by students with the help of educators. Independent learning can also be done with friends or as part of a small group. The characteristics of independent learning are: pyramid-shaped goals, learning sources and media, place of learning, learning time, tempo and rhythm of learning, learning methods, and evaluation of learning outcomes. To implement independent learning strategies, methods such as: "small group discussion, simulation, case study, discovery learning (DL), self-directed learning (SDL), cooperative learning (CL), project based learning (PJBL) and problem based learning an inquiry (PBL)" can be used.

Abstract

This research examines the local wisdom practices of the Javanese tribe in Medan Tembung in maintaining cropping patterns. The aim of this research is to illustrate how traditional values still function amidst the challenges of climate change and urbanization, while inspiring approaches that combine modern technology and local traditions for more adaptive and environmentally friendly food security. This research uses a qualitative approach. The research method applied is descriptive using data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research Pranata Mangsa acts as a traditional guide for the Javanese people in Medan Tembung in farming, helping determine appropriate planting and harvest times. according to weather conditions and recognizing natural signs. Apart from being a practical guide, Pranata Mangsa is also local wisdom passed down through agricultural culture and rituals. However, its preservation is now threatened by the lack of interest of the younger generation who are more interested in modern technology, climate change which disrupts seasonal patterns, and the lack of formal support, all of which makes it difficult to regenerate this knowledge amidst the rapid development of the world of agriculture.

Abstract

Islamic education during the decline of the medieval period, which lasted from the 13th to the 18th centuries, was marked by intellectual stagnation, the weakening of centers of learning, and the dominance of conservative traditions in Islamic thought. Factors that caused this decline included foreign invasions, such as the Mongol invasion that destroyed Baghdad in 1258, the weakening of Islamic political power, and reliance on traditional teaching methods such as memorization without critical understanding. Nevertheless, Islamic education continued to play an important role in maintaining the tradition of learning and spirituality through institutions such as the madrasah. Madrasahs during this period focused more on the study of Islamic jurisprudence and religious sciences, so they paid less attention to rational sciences such as philosophy, astronomy, and medicine, which had previously flourished during the Golden Age of Islam.

Abstract

How the allocation of funds in the education and health sectors influences the HDI in West Sumatra province from an Islamic perspective is an issue that will be discussed in this research. There is a difference between the theory of the influence of education and health sector spending on the human development index and the data that has been obtained, where there is a mismatch between increasing spending and increasing the human development index. This research aims to identify the influence of government spending in the education and health sectors, both partially and simultaneously, on the human development index in West Sumatra province from an Islamic perspective. Literature study is used as a method for collecting data and information. Quantitative research funding was also chosen as the type of this research. BPS and the Directorate General of Finance of West Sumatra Province were used as sources for obtaining secondary data needed in this research. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression analysis. Hypothesis testing uses the t test, F test and determination test (R square). This study indicates that government spending in the education and health sectors partially influences the Human Development Index. Meanwhile, government spending in the education and health sectors also has an impact on the human development index for West Sumatra province. The influence of government expenditure variables in the education and health sectors has an influential contribution to the human development index variable of 56.8%. An additional 43.2% is influenced by other variables that were not examined. For example, per capita income.

Abstract

Social media is certainly a benchmark for important tools for life, especially in communication that greatly influences public opinion. Social media users themselves have a positive impact on a process between social interaction processes, both from politics and economics. Then also in general it can influence the views and attitudes of society. In the world of education, social media is also active because many people or groups are circulating about educational issues that must be digested properly because social media itself also has a negative impact if the city does not filter news about circulating issues properly which will cause its own chaos.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to understand the impact of information technology on human life, the challenges faced by Islamic sciences in response to technological advancements, and the use of information technology from the perspective of Islamic law. The findings of the research indicate: 1) The positive impact of information and communication technology is the ease of conducting buying and selling activities through e-commerce or online trading thanks to the internet. One example of the negative impact of information and communication technology is the increasing difficulty in protecting children from harmful content on the internet; 2) The factors that challenge Islamic sciences in the midst of modern scientific developments include the ambivalence of technology, the fact that many Muslims still emphasize textual studies over the study of sociocultural realities, and the lack of a clear paradigm regarding the position of normative values, the existence, and the scientific structure of Islam; 3) Islam does not recognize the division of human life into separate fields, so the development of information technology is also an integral part of a Muslim’s holistic life, which must be oriented toward the paradigm of tawhid (monotheism). Mastery of information technology and its optimal use are important for every Muslim as a means to draw closer to the Creator. Therefore, the application of technology should align with Islamic teachings and values and be dedicated to upholding human values..

Abstract

This study aims to analyze errors in scientific writing by students in several universities in Indonesia, identify the factors that cause them, and provide recommendations for improvement. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a questionnaire survey distributed to 100 students from various universities in North Sumatra selected by convenience sampling method. The questionnaire covered understanding of paper format, frequency of writing, level of difficulty, training experience, factors causing errors, and proposed solutions. The results showed that students generally have a good understanding of the basic structure of term papers, but there are still weaknesses in technical aspects such as spacing, margins, and title writing. Factors causing errors include lack of understanding of the material, technical formatting errors, and lack of attention to detail. This study recommends more specific and practical writing training to improve the quality of students' academic writing.
