Abstract

Online education or via social media is one of the changes in education methods and strategies that are very different from what they were before. One of the popular social media outlets in the world of education is Instagram. The purpose of this research is to know the use of Instagram in developing writing skills and how to benefit from this program. In this qualitative research, the researcher followed the descriptive analytical method and followed the observation method to collect data and the Mills and Huberman method in analyzing the data, which is classifying, presenting, and concluding the data. This research proved that instagram can be used to develop students’ writing skills because Instagram is one of the most widely used social media tools for them and suits their age stage. Among the features on Instagram that can be used to develop writing skills are Instagram Feed and Instagram Story, but the use of Instagram in this field is only outside the classroom to finish assignments

Abstract

Methods and technology play a big role in the educational process, because they are useful for teachers, help them, improve their teaching performance, help teachers to be more precise in targeting the material, evaluate and control it, and help in the educational process to achieve goals. desired goal easily. Vocabulary teaching is important for anyone who wants to learn a second language, for special purposes, for the need to understand books, or to achieve other goals, because vocabulary is an important element of language. This research aims to use WhatsApp as a means of teaching vocabulary, considering that currently the use of this program to communicate with each other is more common, more widely used in the world, and easier to implement. Researchers conducted this research considering the importance of facilities and technology in education as well as the importance of vocabulary in Arabic. Researchers used descriptive analytical methods for this research. This research shows, first, that vocabulary teaching is important. Because vocabulary is an important element of language. Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze phonological, morphological, syntactic, and semantic errors in the writing of students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program. Language errors in Arabic academic writing by students are a significant challenge in advanced Arabic language learning.  The method used is qualitative analysis with a descriptive approach, based on the corpus of student writing data in the writing skills course. The results of the study showed that syntactic errors were the most dominant (37.5%), followed by morphological (29.2%), phonological (16.7%), and semantic (16.7%). The main causal factors include mother tongue interference, the use of literal machine translators, low understanding of Arabic grammar rules, and minimal contextual practice. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the need for an integrative and communicative learning approach, with an emphasis on authentic text-based exercises, contrastive analysis strategies, and the use of interactive learning media to improve students' linguistic accuracy in writing Arabic academic texts.

Abstract

 Arabic holds a significant role in Islamic education, particularly at the junior secondary level in faith-based schools. Mastery of the language not only supports students’ linguistic competence but also deepens their understanding of Islamic teachings through religious texts. This exploration of Arabic language teaching practices at SMP Mawaddah, Depok, West Java, reveals various challenges faced by teachers and the strategies employed to overcome them. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through direct classroom observations and semi-structured interviews. Key challenges include low student motivation and interest, limited instructional time, and diverse student backgrounds and proficiency levels. To address these obstacles, teachers implement personalized approaches, utilize simple and contextual learning media, enhance student motivation, and manage time efficiently. These findings offer a clear picture of the dynamics of Arabic language instruction in Islamic-based schools and encourage the adoption of more adaptive and effective teaching strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji krisis akurasi dalam terjemahan Arab-Indonesia di era digital kontemporer, dengan fokus pada tantangan yang muncul dari interaksi antara metodologi penerjemahan tradisional dan tuntutan komunikasi digital yang serba cepat. Latar belakang penelitian ini didorong oleh observasi akan maraknya ketidakakuratan dalam terjemahan Arab-Indonesia yang tersedia di berbagai platform digital, menimbulkan potensi kesalahpahaman informasi yang signifikan. Kurangnya studi komprehensif yang menelaah akar permasalahan ini, terutama dari perspektif metodologi tarjamah, menggarisbawahi urgensi penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk ketidakakuratan yang paling dominan dalam terjemahan teks Arab ke dalam bahasa Indonesia pada platform digital kontemporer, menganalisis sejauh mana metodologi tarjamah tradisional berkontribusi terhadap krisis akurasi ini, dan merumuskan pendekatan metodologis kontemporer yang dapat diadopsi untuk meningkatkan akurasi terjemahan Arab-Indonesia dalam konteks komunikasi digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode telaah kritis kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis. Data dikumpulkan melalui analisis korpus terjemahan Arab-Indonesia dari berbagai platform digital populer, dilengkapi dengan tinjauan literatur komprehensif mengenai teori dan metodologi penerjemahan, baik tradisional maupun kontemporer. Analisis data melibatkan identifikasi pola-pola ketidakakuratan, pembandingan dengan prinsip-prinsip metodologi tarjamah, dan sintesis pendekatan inovatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketidakakuratan dominan meliputi kesalahan leksikal, sintaksis, pragmatis, dan kultural, yang sering kali diperparah oleh keterbatasan pemahaman kontekstual dan nuansa budaya. Metodologi tarjamah tradisional, meskipun memiliki fondasi kuat, terbukti kurang adaptif terhadap dinamika dan volume teks digital, terutama dalam hal kecepatan, diversitas genre, dan pemanfaatan teknologi. Berdasarkan temuan ini, kesimpulan penelitian merekomendasikan adopsi pendekatan metodologis kontemporer yang mengintegrasikan kecerdasan buatan, penerjemahan berbasis korpus, dan pemahaman lintas budaya yang mendalam, serta menekankan pentingnya pengembangan kompetensi penerjemah yang tidak hanya menguasai bahasa tetapi juga teknologi dan konteks digital

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum) in Arabic language learning at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 11 Jakarta, a pivotal shift in Indonesia's education system aimed at fostering deeper learning and teacher autonomy. The research primarily sought to understand how the curriculum is implemented, the major challenges teachers face, and the innovative strategies employed to overcome these barriers. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, data was meticulously collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and comprehensive document analysis, involving both teachers and students. Key findings reveal that teachers encounter significant challenges, including limited relevant resources, low communicative interaction, and students' perception of Arabic merely as a formal           obligation, compounded by heterogeneous student backgrounds. Despite these hurdles, teachers demonstrated remarkable initiative, developing innovative differentiation strategies like contextual videos, intensive study groups, and digital projects. These approaches notably boosted student motivation and confidence, demonstrating the curriculum's adaptive potential. The study concludes that the successful implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka critically depends on proactive teacher agency and creative adaptation to complex realities, underscoring the need for synergistic support in policy, resources, and training.

Abstract

This research examines teachers' strategies in implementing the Arabic curriculum at Pioneer Elementary School in Depok, West Java. The background of this study is based on the importance of Arabic language education in Islamic-based schools as well as the need for an effective pedagogical approach, given the “unique” curriculum combined at Pioneer Elementary School, namely: Tahfiz Al-Qur'an, nature concept, and pesantren. The purpose of this study is to identify, describe, and analyse teaching strategies, media, as well as adaptations to student characteristics. The method used was descriptive qualitative through direct observation and in-depth interviews with the head of curriculum and Arabic language teachers. The results of this study show that Pioneer Elementary School implements holistic and innovative strategies, including language days, compulsory Arabic days, language mabit, as well as the use of Interactive media and active conversation methods in the classroom. The school is also adaptive to students with special needs by forming study groups. It is concluded that the success of Arabic learning at Pioneer Primary School comes from the synergy of curriculum, immersive environment, and student-centred pedagogy that can create an inspiring and effective learning experience.

Abstract

The results of the study indicate that students have difficulty in mastering Arabic vocabulary and writing, repetition of material outside of class hours is still very rare, and students' interest and motivation to learn Arabic is still very low. In this case, the school (teacher) applies a strategy that was previously used when he himself studied. The main strategy is to increase vocabulary repetition and practice exercises. Learning a language, especially Arabic, is closely related to memorization and understanding of vocabulary. Therefore, students are directed to memorize as many words as possible every day. Arabic language learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Kota Jambi according to the teacher has been carried out quite effectively. This shows that in terms of system and implementation, the school has supported this subject as part of the local content curriculum. However, this effectiveness is not only determined by the teacher or system, but also depends on each student. This means that students' personal motivation and interests greatly determine whether they will succeed in understanding and mastering Arabic or not

Abstract

One of the main problems in teaching Arabic at this school is that students do not understand Uslub Nahwu (Arabic grammatical style), which causes their speaking skills to remain low. In the textbook Silsilah al-Lughah al-‘Arabiyyah, the material on Uslub Nahwu is mentioned only briefly without examples or clear explanations of how to use it. As a result, students struggle to apply correct grammatical structures in spoken Arabic. Therefore, the researcher aims to implement the “Uslub Nahwu” material in this school so that students can fully understand its forms and applications. This study used a quantitative research method with an experimental approach and a quasi-experimental design. The participants were divided into an experimental class and a control class, using tests and documentation as research instruments. The results showed that the use of Uslub Nahwu had a significant positive effect on improving students’ speaking skills. This was supported by the F-test results (F = 8.652; sig. 0.05) and the t-test results (t = 6.596; sig. 0.000). The findings indicate that the better the students understand Uslub Nahwu, the more their speaking ability improves. Thus, Uslub Nahwu is proven to be an important factor in developing students’ speaking skills in learning Arabic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the muhadasah Arabic direct practice with communicative approach or communicative language teaching in students of the Center for Foreign Language Studies of Islamic University Zainul Hasan Genggong. Of the four Arabic skills that are no less important are speaking skills. This skill is a major component in learning a foreign language. The application in learning Arabic is very much but the most interesting is learning with a communicative approach because students are not only trained to memorize but are trained to speak actively. Qualitative approach and case studies are research methods in this article the subjects of this study are Arabic teachers, Director of the Center for Foreign Language Studies, and students accompanied by observations in everyday learning on campus. The result is that communication-based language teaching methods are able to increase students ' self-confidence and active involvement. Although there are still some vocabulary that has not been mastered, students still dare to get used to communicating everyday. This combination of games and methods creates a more lively and interesting learning atmosphere. Therefore, this method is very suitable for use in teaching Arabic.
