Abstract

This article discusses the importance of emulating the character of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and applying it in daily life, based on the perspectives of two prominent Islamic scholars, Ustadz Abdul Somad and Ustadz Adi Hidayat. The Prophet is well known for his noble character, which encompasses various aspects of life ranging from his relationship with God and fellow human beings to the natural environment. According to Ustadz Abdul Somad, the Messenger of Allah is not only a moral exemplar but also a guide for navigating modern life. Ustadz Adi Hidayat, on the other hand, emphasizes that emulating the Prophet's character is a profound expression of faith in Islamic teachings. This article outlines various examples of the Prophet’s moral conduct such as honesty, patience, humility, and compassion and how these principles can be applied in the daily lives of Muslims to help build a better society. Drawing from the lectures of both scholars, the article aims to provide insights into the contemporary relevance of the Prophet’s character and encourages Muslims to use it as a model in their interactions with others, whether in family, professional, or social settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning difficulties faced by students in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) within the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. Through a literature review of various sources, it was found that students encounter challenges in understanding abstract concepts that integrate aspects of both natural and social sciences. Factors contributing to these learning difficulties include low motivation, limited learning media, a lack of varied teaching strategies, and the suboptimal role of teachers in applying appropriate learning approaches. To address these issues, collaboration among teachers, students, and parents is essential, along with enhancing teachers' competencies in developing adaptive and engaging teaching methods. Thus, it is hoped that IPAS learning can proceed more effectively and enjoyably, thereby improving students' understanding and skills in line with the objectives of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the difficulties faced by seventh-grade students in understanding Informatics subjects, which are relatively complex. One contributing factor is the lack of variation in teaching methods and the infrequent use of instructional media by teachers. To address this issue, a virtual hardware learning media was developed to enhance engagement and improve students' comprehension. The study aims to develop valid and practical virtual hardware learning media for seventh-grade Informatics subjects. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, which consists of four stages: define (define), design (design), develop (development), and disseminate (disseminate). The validity test involved one subject-matter expert and two media experts. The subject-matter expert was a seventh-grade Informatics teacher from SMP Negeri 13 Padang, while the media experts were faculty members from the Department of Curriculum and Educational Technology, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Padang. The practicality test was conducted with 32 seventh-grade students from SMP Negeri 13 Padang. The results indicate that the subject-matter expert validation yielded an average score of 4.70, categorized as "Highly Valid." The first media expert’s validation resulted in an average score of 4.33, categorized as "Valid," while the second media expert’s validation produced an average score of 4.95, categorized as "Highly Valid." Furthermore, the practicality test conducted with students showed an average score of 4.22, categorized as "Practical." Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the virtual hardware learning media for the seventh-grade Informatics subject at SMP Negeri 13 Padang is suitable for use in the learning process

Abstract

This study aims to analyze common mistakes in ablution and prayer practices and their improvement strategies at SD N 034 Muaro Tabun, VII Koto District. In the observation activities that have been carried out, it was found that many children still make common mistakes in ablution practices such as not washing their entire face. This study uses a qualitative method with 45 students, 5 teachers and 1 principal as participants. Data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation. The results of the study show that by using various learning strategies and methods that are appropriate to the child's age, children find it easier to understand the concept of ablution and prayer and their practices in everyday life. In addition, the use of ice breaking also greatly helps restore children's focus so that children do not feel bored/tired in receiving the material. In conclusion, as educators we must realize that each child's learning type is different, so we must provide innovation in the learning methods and strategies carried out in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence, motivation, and compensation on the work spirit of employees at the Sungai Penuh Community Health Center (Puskesmas), Sungai Penuh District. The main issue addressed in this research is the low work morale of employees despite the fact that these factors have been relatively well-managed. The method used is a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires and documentation. The sample consists of employees at the Sungai Penuh Health Center, selected using a simple random sampling technique. The results indicate that competence, motivation, and compensation have a weak relationship with work spirit, with significance values greater than 0.05. Multiple linear regression analysis shows that these three variables together explain only 21.7% of the variation in employee work spirit. These findings suggest that other factors not identified in this study may have a greater influence on employee morale at the Sungai Penuh Health Center.

Abstract

Social media has now transformed into a digital public space that not only presents information and entertainment, but has also become an arena of invisible competition. Within it, scattered standards of achievement, lifestyle, and physical appearance form false perceptions about ideal life. The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze how Islamic values taught in Islamic Religious Education can serve as guidelines for self-protection in facing psychological pressures caused by social media standards among junior high school students. The method used is field research conducted at a junior high school with a qualitative approach that is descriptive-analytical in nature. The primary data sources are Islamic Religious Education teachers and 9th-grade students, while the secondary data sources consist of homeroom teachers and relevant journal articles. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques involve data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results of this research show that social media brings significant impact on the mental health and spirituality of adolescents. This is reinforced by the opinions of Islamic Religious Education teachers and homeroom teachers, who assess that today's teenagers are more bound to the digital world than to transcendental relationships with God. To address this issue, Islamic Religious Education values such as tauhid, iffah, and tawazun have proven effective as guidelines for protecting oneself from social media pressures. These three values build spiritual awareness, self-control, and balance in living digital life. Keywords:, Islamic Religious Education, Junior High School Students, Self-Protection, Social Media Standards.

Abstract

Improving the quality of human resources has become a primary focus in national development towards Indonesia Emas 2045. One of the key strategies is the transformation of the compulsory education policy, which initially mandated nine years of schooling, later expanded to twelve years, and is now directed towards thirteen years with the integration of Early Childhood Education (PAUD). Early childhood education plays a crucial role in shaping children's readiness for primary education while simultaneously reducing literacy gaps from an early age. This article aims to analyze the urgency of expanding compulsory education to thirteen years from the perspective of national human resource development and Indonesia's commitment to Target 4.2 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. This study employs a qualitative approach based on literature review of national policy documents, academic studies, and research findings. The results indicate that integrating PAUD into the compulsory education system will strengthen school readiness, enhance equitable access to education, and establish a strong foundation for literacy, numeracy, and character development among Indonesian children. To realize this policy, it is necessary to expand access to quality PAUD services, strengthen national regulations, and foster multi-stakeholder collaboration. Through these efforts, thirteen years of compulsory education will serve as a strategic foundation for developing superior and globally competitive Indonesian human resources.
