Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media belajar pop-up book materi minyak bumi untuk peserta didik kelas XI SMAN 11 Banda Aceh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) dengan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 langkah, yaitu: analysis, design, development, implementation dan evaluation. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar angket validasi kelayakan media. Hasil rata-rata angket validasi yang diperoleh dari 5 validator sebesar 92,67% (sangat layak). Hasil yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media belajar pop-up book materi minyak bumi yang telah dikembangkan layak diuji cobakan lebih lanjut untuk melihat efektivitas dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of science process skills indicators (SPS) in scientific creativity competition activities as a learning approach in improving students' critical thinking skills. Avicom is a student scientific creativity competition organized by SMA Avicenna Cinere which is attended by junior high school students from various provinces in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a theoretical triangulation approach, namely observation, review, and analysis. The data comes from article documents, videos of participant activities, and competition activities. The results of the analysis of data sources show an increase in the ability of SPS participants in three basic skills which are shown in the form of scientific work products, scientific work articles, and scientific paper presentations. The results of the literature study, this SPS competency indicator has an impact on increasing the participants' critical thinking skills

Abstract

Translation of literacy in english, Indonesian and latin has a strategic position in the biological sciences that must be studied with good quality for students so that the development of science. The purpose of this study is to examine the quality of taxonomy translation in English, Indonesian and Latin with regard to biology education. This research is a quantitative-descriptive research. The test method is used to collect data on the ability to translate in biology education learning by using the google form media provided through the biology student WhatsApp group due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the form of 10 questions with a blend of English, Latin and Indonesian about taxonomy. There are 13 respondents who are ready to answer the test. The test is given for 1 credit which is about 45 minutes as the deadline. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive quantitative which uses three lines of research activities, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification.The results obtained by respondents find it easier to translate test questions in short sentences. The quality of taxonomy translations related to English, Indonesian and Latin have good quality because from the first session, namely translation into the target language English, 4 of the total questions were obtained with the percentage of success by students in translating well above 50%. Likewise for the results of the translation with the target language Indonesian, the respondents managed to answer all questions well with a percentage above 50%. Here it can be seen that, translating into the target language Indonesian is still easier for respondents to produce because all questions are of high value than translating into the target language English.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kelayakan media pembelajaran berupa film dokumenter materi sistem pencernaan manusia di kelas VIII SMP. Media film dokumenter diuji kelayakannya oleh lima orang validator dan instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi. Terdapat empat aspek yang dinilai oleh validator, yaitu aspek format, isi, bahasa, dan kepraktisan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai untuk aspek format 3,36, aspek isi 3,84, aspek bahasa 3,4, dan aspek kepraktisan 3,8, dengan nilai rata-rata total validasi 3,6. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media film dokumenter layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran sistem pencernaan manusia.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang pengembangan LKS STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi  dan Aktivitas Belajar Siswa SMA Negeri 1 Beutong Pada Materi Induksi Elektromagnetik telah dilakukan. Penelitian ini  bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan motivasi dan aktivitas belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan LKS STEM pada materi induksi elektromagnetik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Beutong , semester genap Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi awal yaitu mengumpulkan data nilai ujian semester IV siswa, angket untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa dan lembar observasi untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa selama proses belajar mengajar. Hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji X2 untuk motivasi menunjukkan X2 hitung (29,2)  X2tabel (7.81) yang berarti dengan menggunakan LKS STEM dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, sedangkan untuk aktivitas belajar siswa menunjukkan nilai 24,95,99 yang artinya dengan menggunakan LKS STEM juga dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research is based on the behavior of students who are confused about explaining a natural phenomenon when taking electricity and magnetism courses. The covid-19 pandemic, which requires online courses, adds to the problems in improving the quality of learning in electricity and magnetism courses. As prospective teachers, physics education students with low concept mastery are certainly very concerned because they will teach it to their students. So this research aims to identify difficulties and recommendations for learning electricity and magnetism. The qualitative descriptive method is used to obtain a description of the problem, and obtain recommendations for effective and efficient learning. Learning is done online through zoom meetings and LMS.fkip.untad.ac.id. Data was collected by testing the mastery of the concept of electricity and magnetism. The test was given online to 40 students and interviews with 5 students as respondents. The results showed that the biggest difficulty of students in applying the concept of the potential vector was about 70%, analysis on the application of Ampere's law was about 47.5%, applying the concept of the field in a cylinder about 30%, and applying the Biot-Savart law was about 25%. It can be concluded that there are still many students who have difficulty mastering the concepts of electricity and magnetism after participating in online learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan penguasaan konsep siswa Dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing serta memperoleh gambaran respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran inkuiri. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tiga sekolah  yaitu SMAN 1 Meulaboh, SMAN 3 Meulaboh dan SMAN 1 meureubo. Desain penelitian dilakukan dengan pretest dan posttest untuk motivasi dan penguasaan konsep pada siswa kelas XI IPA semester 2 tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pretest dan posttest untuk motivasi dan penguasaan konsep dan angket respon siswa terhadap model pembelajarn inkuiri terbimbing. Hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Dari ketiga sekolah skor rata-rata dari pretest ke posttest meningkat, N-gain SMAN 1 Meulaboh 70% dengan katagori tinggi,  N-gain SMAN 3 Meulaboh 69% katagori sedang,  N-gain SMAN 1 Meureubo 68%   katagori sedang.  Dari angket respon siswa memberi tanggapan positif terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan penguasaan konsep siswa.

Abstract

Many students in Indonesia are not responsive about the environmental problems around them. This study aimed to (1) analyze environmental literacy differences between male and female students, (2) analyze environmental literacy differences based on gender and parental occupations, and (3) analyze the influence of the interaction between gender and the parents’ occupations. This study used a quantitative approach. This study consisted of 70 students in 11th grade as a subjects. The subjects were determined randomly in three majors, i.e. multimedia, nursing, and pharmacy. Students' environmental literacy was measured using the MSELS instrument developed by McBeth, 2011. The results study showed that no significant difference in knowledge and cognitive skills between male and female students, but there were significant differences in attitudes and behavior. Moreover, there was no significant difference in knowledge, attitudes, and cognitive skills between students whose parents work. However, there were significant differences in behavior between students whose parents' jobs were different. There is a significant relationship between male students in the aspects of knowledge, attitudes, behavior, and cognitive skills, but not significantly related to female students' behavior. There was no significant interaction between male and female students and their parents' different environmental literacy occupations.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis (KBK) peserta didik pada materi kalor. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi experimental dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas X MIA dan sampelnya peserta didik kelas X MIA-2 dan X MIA-3 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda beralasan sebanyak 15 soal. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan program microsoft excel. Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol yaitu 92,32 dan 74,41. Hasil perhitungan N-gain diperoleh rata-rata pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol adalah 86,59 dan 52,94. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PBL secara signifikan lebih baik dalam meningkatkan KBK peserta didik dibandingkan model konvensional.

Abstract

The scientific literacy ability of students in Indonesia, whether measured by PISA or by several Indonesian researchers, is known to be still in the low category. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of STEM-based Water Pollution LKPD and the 6E learning cycle model on scientific literacy skills. The type of research used is descriptive. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a total sample of 43 students from class VII-B SMP Ma'arif Karangawen Demak. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and scientific literacy tests. The instrument used consisted of an interview guide with the teacher, an observation sheet on the implementation of learning, a learning observation note sheet, and a scientific literacy test instrument with 13 questions. The data analysis technique used is validity test, reliability test, and analytical descriptive. The results obtained for the aspect of identifying scientific issues get an average value of 69,77 (good category), explaining natural phenomena scientifically 86,05 (Very Good), interpreting data and evidence scientifically 45,35 (quite good), integrating science in technology and society 56,98 (good), using scientific knowledge in solving problems 48,84 (good enough), and aspects of designing and evaluating scientific investigations 66,28 (good). The average value of scientific literacy as a whole gets 62,21 in the good category so that through the implementation of the STEM-based Water Pollution LKPD and the 6E learning cycle model, it gave good results for students' scientific literacy skills
