Abstract

This research aims to describe the role of group discussions in improving the mathematical reasoning abilities of fourth grade students at SD N 2 Karangbener. Mathematics, as a mandatory subject at every level of education, is often considered scary, boring and difficult by most students, especially at the elementary school level. Difficulty learning mathematics hinders students' ability to solve everyday problems and develop their potential. The research method uses descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. Observations were carried out by implementing direct learning practices in class using the group discussion method. Data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis methods, consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The stratified subject-taking technique produced research results that showed the group discussion method was effective in improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities. Students involved in group discussions showed different understanding of concepts in indicators of mathematical reasoning ability such as SA who showed high ability and CE students with medium ability and EY with low ability in mathematics group discussions. The results of this research are that group discussions can improve students' mathematical reasoning abilities by paying attention to the role of each member in the group. This research contributes to educational practitioners to implement effective learning methods in developing students' mathematical reasoning abilities. The conclusion of this research shows that group discussions are effective in improving the mathematical reasoning abilities of class IV students at SD N 2 Karangbener. Through observations, interviews, and documentation, it was found that students who were involved in group discussions had a better understanding of concepts.

Abstract

Pendidikan Al-Quran sangat penting diberikan kepada anak-anak karena Al-Quran merupakan pedoman hidup umat Islam. Dengan pendidikan Al-Quran yang diberikan sejak dini, diharapkan dapat menciptakan generasi penerus yang qur’ani. Ada berbagai metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran Al-Quran, salah satunya adalah metode tilawati. Madrasah Diniyah Al-Fajar menerapkan metode tilawati sebagai bentuk inovasi pendidikan untuk memberikan pendidikan terbaik kepada anak-anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati bagaimana penerapan metode tilawati di Madrasah Diniyah Al-Fajar, serta faktor-faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat program tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan penelitian lapangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teori Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi tiga tahap: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data diuji dengan menggunakan metode triangulasi, yaitu triangulasi penelitian, sumber, metode, dan teori. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode tilawati di Madrasah Diniyah Al-Fajar terdiri dari tiga tahapan pembelajaran: kegiatan pembukaan, kegiatan inti, dan kegiatan penutup. Tiga alat evaluasi yang diterapkan adalah: pre-test, evaluasi harian, dan kenaikan jilid. Tiga teknik pembelajaran yang digunakan meliputi: teknik baca simak, teknik klasikal, dan teknik evaluasi. Beberapa faktor pendukung program ini antara lain: visi dan misi Madrasah Diniyah Al-Fajar, latar belakang guru pembimbing, kepribadian guru pembimbing, dan kemampuan guru pembimbing. Sementara itu, faktor penghambat program ini meliputi: sarana dan prasarana, kondisi santri, dan peran wali santri.

Abstract

Fostering the multicultural life of students in the context of the industrial revolution 5.0 is an important aspect in Islamic boarding schools, because it provides provisions for students to face the challenges that occur in the diversity around their environment and face a society that goes hand in hand with technological sophistication. This research uses qualitative research by utilizing primary data sources and secondary data sources. Primary sources come directly from sources through interviews, while secondary sources include the history of the Al-Barokah Islamic Boarding School and data on infrastructure. The techniques used to explore data sources are interviews, observation and documentation with John Cresswel's analysis. This research found that the implementation of multicultural values ​​carried out by students in the Al-Barokah Islamic Boarding School environment includes mutual respect, mutual respect, mutual understanding, tolerance, not making fun of other students and learning from each other between cultures. Solutions for strengthening multicultural values ​​in the 5.0 era include an inclusive curriculum, holding joint activities, using technology for multicultural education, empowering students, and self-assessing the implementation of multicultural values. Even though global developments are increasingly rapid, Islamic boarding schools are expected to not only maintain the authenticity of Islamic traditions, but also innovate in responding to the dynamics of an increasingly multicultural society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran yang layak, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar pada media pembelajaran diorama siklus air Topik B mengapa bentuk permukaan bumi berubah-ubah. Terkait penelitian ini terdapat permasalahan dimana kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap prosesnya siklus air. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah R&D (Research and Development) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiril dari lima tahapan yaitu (1) Analisis (Analyze) (2) Perancangan (Design) (3) Pengembanganl (Development) (4) Implementasi (Implementation) (5) Evaluasi (Evaluation). Pengembangan media pembelajaran diorama siklus air divalidasikan kepada ahli media dan ahli materi. Pengembangan media pembelajaran diorama siklus air divalidasikan kepada ahli media dan ahli materi. Hasil dari validasi ahli media memperoleh hasil 90% dan validasi ahli materi memperoleh hasil 86%. tingkat kelayakan “sangat layak” untuk dijadikan media pembelajaran. Pengembangan ini menghasilkan media pembelajaran praktis dengan angket respon siswa pada uji kelompok kecil memperoleh nilai 94,5%. dengan tingkat kepraktisan “sangat praktis” serta uji cobal keefektifan dilakukan dengan cara memberikan soal pre-test dan post-test kepada kelompok kecil menggunakan N-gain dengan mendapatkan nilai 0.87083333. Sangat efektif dalam pemahaman siswa karena mendapatkan nilai skor N-gain gain ≥ 0,70 dengan kriteria Tinggi.

Abstract

This systematic literature review examines the issues and challenges in implementing the Special Education (SPED) curriculum in the Philippines. Despite legislative efforts, numerous obstacles hinder effective implementation, including inadequate funding, insufficient teacher training, curriculum inflexibility, social stigma, and infrastructural barriers. This review synthesizes findings from various academic articles, government reports, and organizational publications to comprehensively understand these challenges. It recommends policy enhancements, resource allocation, teacher training, curriculum adaptation, and stakeholder involvement to improve SPED implementation in the Philippines. The research uses Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines to determine and choose the articles used in this systematic literature review. From over a thousand related articles, the researchers narrowed it down to fifteen (15) related articles following inclusion and exclusion criteria. The report offers evidence-based recommendations to address these difficulties, with the goal of policy reforms and improving their efficacy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of group counselling at SMP Negeri 18 Pontianak that use sociodrama techniques to boost students' self-confidence. The study methodology is quantitative-experimental, utilising a one-group pre-test and post-test design with a pre-experimental design. Six students with poor self-confidence were included in the study's sample, which was drawn from the 67 students in classes VIII C and D. These students' questionnaire findings were analysed. Purposive sampling, a Non-Probability sampling approach, was employed in the sampling process. Calculations revealed that, on average, students' levels of self-confidence were 57 before receiving therapy (Pre-test) and 97 after receiving treatment (Post-test). The Paired Sample T-Test was used for statistical testing, and the results showed that there was a significant difference in the level of student self-confidence before and after receiving group counselling using sociodrama techniques. The T count was -9.530 with a sig value of 2 (Tailed) 0.000 < 0.05, meaning Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Thus, it was determined that group counselling at SMP Negeri 18 Pontianak employing sociodrama approaches was successful in raising students' self-confidence.

Abstract

Education to be major the important aspect towards humans because it can create quality humans in people's lives. Processing education, students are required could be able to face and undergo the provisions that exist in academic life. In today's digital era, technology and social media are developing precipitately, made it easue towards user to access social media freely. Become popularity one of kinds of media social is TikTok. It is known that students are very fond of using TikTok by reason of it, this platform could be able entertain user whenever they were boring. Excessive use of TikTok will have an impact on students' academic performance. Many students cannot undergo the provisions that exist in academic life, one of which is doing assignments. Learners delay doing assignments and cause a mismatch between educational goals and existing realities. The purposelly this reseach was to established the grade the intensity of TikTok uses and the level of academic procrastination of eight grade students in SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya, as well as the impact towards intensity of TikTok using towards academic procrastination of students in SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. The yields of this reseach has impact towards intensity of using the TikTok application on the academic procrastination of students in SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya with an effect of 22.9%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of solution focused brief counseling in increasing the resilience of broken home students at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya. The method used is pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were seventh grade students who experienced broken homes with a sampling of 6 broken home students who were in the low resilience category. this study used an instrument in the form of a questionnaire to determine the level of resilience of broken home students before and after being given group counseling services SFBC approach. The results showed that the average resilience questionnaire score of broken home students before being given treatment was in the low category with an average percentage value of 50% and after being given treatment increased by 72% which was included in the moderate category. From the results of hypothesis testing using paired sample t-test obtained sig value. (2 tailed) 0.002 <0.05. Then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an increase in resilience in broken home students. It can be concluded that solution focused brief counseling is effective for increasing the resilience of broken home students at SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya.

Abstract

Vocational education in SMK aims to prepare students to become skilled labourers who are ready to enter the industrial world. Subjects such as lathe and milling machining play an important role in developing students' technical skills. This research aims to identify challenges in the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL)-based sustainable project assignments in these subjects at SMKN 7 Serang City, as well as explore strategies to improve learning effectiveness. The research used a case study approach with qualitative descriptive method. Data was collected through direct observation and documentation. The results show that although the PjBL method helps students develop technical skills and soft skills, there are some obstacles. Challenges include lack of facilities, differences in students' ability to operate machines, and non-conformity with the ideal stages of PjBL, such as project design and schedule preparation which are still dominated by teachers. But in each stage of PjBL that is implemented, there are still some that are not in accordance with the application of PjBL. In addition, time management is the main obstacle in project completion. This study recommends increasing the role of students in all stages of PjBL, improving practical facilities, and strengthening supervision and guidance. In conclusion, optimal implementation of PjBL can improve technical skills and student readiness to face the world of work.

Abstract

This systematic review explores the impact of social media on reading comprehension among Filipino learners, addressing a growing concern as social media becomes more integrated into students' daily lives. With the Philippines ranking among the top countries for social media usage, this study consolidates findings from various research to understand how these platforms affect students' ability to comprehend and process text. The review highlights both positive and negative influences. On one hand, excessive social media use is associated with reduced attention spans, fragmented reading habits, and cognitive overload, all of which hinder deep reading and comprehension. On the other hand, when social media is used for educational purposes—such as online discussions, collaborative learning, and sharing of academic content—it can enhance student engagement and improve comprehension skills. Despite these findings, the literature is lacking, particularly regarding the long-term effects of social media on younger learners and the role of different platforms. This review concludes with recommendations for future research and suggests strategies for educators to harness social media's educational benefits while mitigating its distractions.
