Abstract

Tasikmalaya City is included in yellow status for stunting, which is the 5th highest in West Java. One of the areas with the highest stunting cases in the city of Tasikmalaya is the Tamansari Community Health Center with a total of 332 stunted toddlers. The partner in this service activity is UPTD Tamansari Community Health Center. Tamansari Community Health Center UPTD oversees 4 sub-district areas, namely Setiawargi, Mulyasari, Sukahurip and Setiamulya. Mulyasari sub-district is the sub-district with the highest number of short and very short toddlers when compared to other sub-districts. Among them, there are 59 very short toddlers and 273 short toddlers in the Toddler Weighing Month (BPB) February 2023. The aim of this community service is directly to increase the knowledge of certain community groups, namely health nutrition cadres, which in health promotion science are referred to as secondary targets in terms of preventing stunting in toddler. When carrying out activities, the delivery of material is carried out by means of presentations using audio-visual technology and is equipped with the delivery of educational materials. Apart from that, to support activities, demonstrations were held on making tempeh and processing tempeh nuggets as MPASI to prevent and overcome stunting. During the evaluation process, the pre-test results showed a score of 59.2%, indicating that the target did not really understand the prevention and management of stunting. The post-test results showed that 93.8% of cadres' knowledge and awareness increased regarding stunting and the benefits of tempeh as a functional food to prevent stunting.

Abstract

Cognition is the highest function of the brain. Impaired cognitive function in the long term and not treated adequately can interfere with daily activities such as senile dementia or dementia. Before a person develops dementia, there is a transitional condition between healthy old age and dementia called Mild Cognitive Impairment. This condition occurs as a result of a degenerative process called Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or is caused by vascular disorders, namely Vascular Cognitive Impairment (VCI). MCI in the future can develop into dementia over a period of 5-6 years. Cognitive function consists of several domains, namely: attention, working memory, episodic memory, verbal learning, executive function, and visuospatial. Cognitive function can decrease due to age, or due to brain injury such as head trauma, stroke, and even degenerative diseases such as hypertension and diabetes mellitus. The importance of controlling vascular risk factors can slow the decline in cognitive function. This counseling is carried out as an educational effort to the community to increase knowledge about cognitive function, risk factors, and efforts to prevent cognitive decline. Cognitive function counseling for the elderly has been carried out through zoom meeting to residents of Duren Sawit RT 002/04.

Abstract

In a company, human resources play an important role in improving the company's progress. In this case, companies need to find good methods to improve employee performance. One method that can be used is the KPI (Key Performance Management) method because this really supports how important it is to assess employee performance to achieve company goals. The aim of this training activity is to support companies that own glamping in improving the quality of their employees' performance. Implementation of this training activity for Bali Beach Glamping which is located in the Tabanan area of ​​Bali, method of providing material, tutorials, discussions and simulations. The training is carried out directly or face to face. Number of participants 16 people. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, 85% of the participants were also ready to use this method, whereas before the training the participants' knowledge was only 15% regarding the KPI (Key Performance Indicators) method. Apart from that, in terms of training implementation, it can be concluded that 95% of the analysis results stated that the training had been carried out well, the material presented was clear, and 80% of participants stated that the training material was useful for practicing resource management at Bali Beach Glamping.

Abstract

Nutritional problems can occur in any phase of life, starting from the time the child is in the mother's womb until entering old age. One of the nutritional problems that is being hotly discussed is stunting. Stunting is one of the chronic nutritional health problems that is still widespread in Indonesia. One solution to overcome the problem of stunting is to make additional food from marungg powder or moringa leaves where Marungga or moringa has many good benefits for body health, especially in the context of preventing stunting in toddlers. The purpose of this activity is to reduce the increasing number of stunting problems in children in Pledo village by providing additional food in the form of cassava porridge marungga powder. The method used in the process of implementing this activity is to conduct interviews to find out the problems that exist at the location, socialization in the form of stunting crackdowns, making additional food and distributing additional food in the form of cassava porridge marungga powder. The implementation of this service program has obtained very good results for stunting mitigation by providing additional food for Bubur Singkonkong, in addition to making additional food in the form of Cassava Porridge Marungga Powder which is expected to be given or served to children. After this activity, it is hoped that Pledo villagers can use moringa in their daily lives to reduce stunting problems in Pledo village.

Abstract

The objectives of this community service activity are (1) Producing appropriate technology in the form of an IoT  -Based Control System for NFT Hydroponics for monitoring and Controlling Nutrition in Orchid Cultivation for service partners, (2) Conducting technical guidance on the use of IoT  -Based Control System tools for NFT Hydroponics for Monitoring and Control of Nutrition in Orchid Cultivation to produce superior and quality orchid seeds, (3) Providing assistance on how to process AB MIX organic liquid fertilizer which is then integrated into the NFT hydroponic system. The method used in this community service activity is community empowerment through training and mentoring. The results of the Workshop on agricultural automation systems for farmer groups in Kediri Regency are one of the efforts made to improve economic recovery, especially to increase the quality and quantity of agricultural products. In this community service activity it is also hoped that it will be able to build the competency of the farming automation system in farmer groups in Kediri Regency. This activity can bring farmer groups who still use conventional methods to modern ways by implementing monitoring and automation systems.

Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) was carried out in Rusunawa Ciseureuh, Purwakarta Regency. The problem faced by partners is the moral quality of children which is fairly concerning. This problem is caused by several factors such as: 1) the available facilities are not used for positive activities for children; 2) parents who are busy working so they rarely spend time with children; and 3) children who often play gadgets so that they are affected by bad content on the internet. This PkM aims to find alternatives to the problems faced by partners, namely the Rusunawa Ciseureuh community so that the moral quality of children can be better formed. This method of implementing PkM is carried out through 3 stages, namely: 1) preparation; 2) implementation; and 3) evaluation. The things produced or achieved from this PkM are: 1) the moral quality of children who have improved to be good and very good after service activities; and 2) the response of parents who are very supportive and enthusiastic to service activities.

Abstract

Street vendors (hereinafter abbreviated as PKL) are informal sector traders who usually use public spaces, use urban infrastructure, and use both temporarily or permanently commercially which can disrupt public order and public peace as regulated in regional Regulation No. 7 of 2019 concerning the Organization of Public Order and public peace (hereinafter abbreviated as Perda No. 7 of 2019). The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Pangkalpinang regional Regulation Number 7 of 2019 related to the arrangement of street vendors in Pangkalpinang City and to determine the factors that are obstacles in the arrangement of street vendors in Pangkalpinang City. Using a qualitative approach. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research methods. The descriptive nature of qualitative research explains that it aims to provide a systematic, accurate and factual description of a fact, characteristic or relationship between the phenomena studied. The results of this study are based on regional Regulation No. 7 of 2019 concerning the Organization of Public Order and public peace that there are still many street vendors who violate the provisions of the regional regulation due to street vendors who do not want to move from their trading locations and lack of Law Enforcement facilities and infrastructure in carrying out law enforcement against street vendors.

Abstract

Papaya is one of the most widely cultivated plants in Indonesia. People generally use all parts of papaya in their daily lives, but not optimally yet, mainly only used as food and less varied While other parts such as fruit skin, seeds, and stems generally be thrown away as garbage. The skin and leaves could be used as liquid organic fertilizer and bio fungicide. Therefore, it is necessary to make an effort to optimize products from papaya plants in the community of Karang Sari Village IVB. This Community Service was carried out with the aim of knowing the utilization and increasing knowledge and practice of papaya plants. The results of the service obtained were the average pre-test score of 49.47 and the average post-test score of 95.79. There was an increase in points of 46.32. Further expectations in this service that the people in Karang Sari Village IV B can utilize papaya plants more varied and diverse.

Abstract

Domestic waste is a global problem that is growing along with population growth and changes in consumption patterns. Domestic waste, if not handled properly, can cause environmental and health problems. Pineapple peel as a type of domestic waste has the potential to be used as an alternative pharmaceutical product because it still contains compounds in it, such as enzymes and bioactive compounds. Utilizing this waste not only reduces negative impacts on the environment, but also creates high-value products that are beneficial to society. Utilizing pineapple peel waste as a dishwashing soap product is the focus of our community service. The use of fruit peel waste represents a progressive step towards sustainability, small-scale home industry innovation and waste reduction which are increasingly important in efforts to preserve the environment and create products that are more beneficial to humans.

Abstract

Community Engagement aims to implement and provide training related to the Digital Village Library in Cangkring Village, Cirebon Regency. This community engagement initiative strives to enhance access and utilization of digital information resources at the village level. Through a participatory and collaborative approach, this program involves various stakeholders including the local community, village government, and local educational institutions. The initial step involves a preliminary study to evaluate the existing conditions in Cangkring Village, including digital literacy, technological infrastructure, and the community's needs related to digital resources. Based on the findings of the Community Engagement, a platform and library management system suitable for the local context and needs were selected. Technological infrastructure was updated and the digital collection was enriched with various types of content, including e-books, journals, and educational materials.  The training program is designed to enhance digital literacy and maximize the benefits of the digital library. This engagement also involves ongoing mentoring and guidance for library staff and community members regarding the management and utilization of the digital library. Continuous evaluation is conducted to monitor the usage and effectiveness of the program, relying on feedback from the community. The results of this program demonstrate a significant improvement in access and utilization of digital information resources in Cangkring Village. These findings positively contribute to the enhancement of digital literacy and education at the village level. This program also provides a foundation for similar efforts in neighboring villages, strengthening the role of the digital library as a center for learning.
