Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Learning Management System (LMS) in improving the quality of Islamic education, particularly in the context of integrating Islamic values into digital-based learning processes. The background of this study stems from the need for adaptive learning transformation in line with technological developments, without neglecting the main objectives of Islamic education, namely the formation of faithful and noble character. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach involving teachers, students, and educational administrators as research subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed thematically using the interactive Miles and Huberman approach. The results of the study indicate that LMS contributes significantly to the effectiveness of learning, both in terms of material delivery, increased learning independence, and the strengthening of Islamic character. LMS enables teachers to design structured, interactive, and Islamically rich learning materials through features such as digital modules, discussion forums, and reflection journals. Additionally, the use of LMS encourages the transformation of teachers' roles into spiritual facilitators and digital educators who can bridge the academic and religious development needs of students. Despite challenges such as limited access and digital literacy, LMS has proven to be an effective medium in supporting Islamic education that is relevant to contemporary challenges. This study recommends the development of LMS based on Islamic values in a broader and sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the reconstruction of Islamic economics and education epistemology in the face of technological advances, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) and the digital economy, using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. This method was chosen to obtain a comprehensive mapping of scientific discourse developments, identify research gaps, and synthesize findings from primary literature indexed in the Scopus database for the period 2019–2024. The research is exploratory and qualitative in nature, employing documentary and narrative analysis of articles relevant to the topic of Islamic economic epistemology and its relationship with AI, the digital economy, and Islamic ethics in technology. The search strategy uses a combination of Boolean keywords such as “Islamic economics” AND ‘epistemology’ AND (“artificial intelligence” OR “digital economy”), supported by the Google Scholar and ScienceDirect databases. The findings indicate that the integration of AI and the digital economy into Islamic economic systems and education requires a profound epistemological reconstruction to ensure that fundamental values such as justice, moral responsibility, and equality are upheld. AI plays a dual role as an instrument of efficiency and a potential source of ethical disruption, while digitalization drives the reinterpretation of traditional Islamic economic values and practices. Technologies like blockchain offer transparency but also raise ethical dilemmas related to privacy and Sharia compliance. Current literature still shows limitations in terms of a comprehensive conceptual framework and a lack of interdisciplinary empirical research. Therefore, a systematic and ethical approach is needed to harmonize technological innovation with Islamic principles, as well as further research examining the impact of AI on core concepts such as zakat distribution and ethical accountability in Islamic economics to ensure their relevance and adaptability in the digital age.

Abstract

This study explores the effect of skincare product texture on users’ emotional responses, especially female adolescents aged 16–21 years. Using mixed-method, quantitative and qualitative approach, this study is conducted in Jakarta, Tangerang, Bandung, Banyumas, and Yogyakarta. Total of 30 participants in this study follow three stages of product use: First Touch, During Application, and After-Absorption. Participants’ emotions are measured using the Self-Assessment Manikin (SAM) for the dimensions of valence, arousal, and dominance, and also the PANAS scale to measure changes in positive and negative emotions before and after using the skincare product. The result shows that at the First Touch stage, there is no significant difference in emotions statistically. However, qualitative data reveal variations in perceptions of sticky or runny texture. At the During Application stage, softness shows a significant effect on the sense of control and positive emotions. Meanwhile, at the After-Absorption stage, stickiness, greasiness, and film residue have a significant effect. Product with a soft texture, fast absorption, and no residue (product 2) is the most preferred and show to significantly reduce negative emotions based on the PANAS scale. This study emphasizes the importance of considering texture in skincare product development, as sensory experiences play a role in shaping user emotions. Further research is recommended to explore ingredients such as humectants and occlusives, as well as using physiological tools such as facial coding or EEG to gain a more objective understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to find a character-building model to foster a spirit of religious tolerance. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collected through interviews and documentation. Based on the analysis, it was found that some students blame the teachings/practices of fellow Muslims, while others are reluctant to wish other religions a happy holiday. The character-building efforts conducted by PAI teachers have successfully instilled in students the habit of respecting one another and members of other religious communities. This demonstrates that the character-building model, which involves consistent practice and routine activities, produces positive character traits. It is hoped that this will transform differences into strengths between teachers and students, as well as among students themselves, thereby fostering strong tolerance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of classroom management and work ethic on effective learning among public high school teachers in Namlea District. The background of this study is based on the importance of teachers' role in creating a conducive learning environment and professionalism as the main factors in improving the quality of the teaching and learning process. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory method and an ex post facto research design. The population of this study consists of all public high school teachers in Namlea District, and the sampling technique used was proportional random sampling. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire with a Likert scale, which was then analyzed using multiple linear regression after undergoing validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results of the study indicate that both classroom management and work ethic have a positive and significant impact on effective learning, with regression coefficients of 0.482 and 0.396, respectively, and significance levels of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 67.2% indicates that the variables of classroom management and work ethic simultaneously explain most of the variation in learning effectiveness. These findings confirm that strengthening teachers' capacity to manage classrooms professionally and maintain a high work ethic is key to creating meaningful and quality learning, especially in areas with limited facilities and geographical challenges, such as the Namlea District. This study provides practical implications for the development of educational policies that emphasize continuous training in classroom management and work ethic development for teachers.

This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and documentation, with five teachers as the main participants. Data analysis was conducted based on Thomas Lickona's character education theory, which emphasizes three main components of character formation: moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. The results of the study indicate that teachers play an important role in shaping students' disciplinary character through modeling, positive reinforcement, behavior reinforcement, and consistent enforcement of rules. Teachers also create a conducive learning environment for character development through communicative and reflective interactions. This study concludes that active involvement and moral awareness of teachers are key factors in the success of character education in elementary schools. These findings can serve as a reference for the development of more systematic and applicable character education programs at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education is one of the main priorities in efforts to achieve the success of the education system. The concepts of Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Total Quality Management (TQM) are significant approaches in quality management in educational institutions. QC focuses on process control to ensure educational outcomes according to the standards that have been set. QA places more emphasis on designing and implementing systems to prevent errors and improve efficiency. Meanwhile, TQM adopts a holistic approach by involving all elements of the educational organization to improve quality sustainably. This article aims to explore the implementation of QC, QA, and TQM in the context of education, including the challenges faced and their impact on the quality of learning. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the integration of these three approaches can make a significant contribution to the achievement of superior quality of education.
