Abstract

This study aims to explore trends in research methods used in the study of bullying in early childhood education settings. Using content analysis of 40 articles published between 2014-2024. The findings show there is an increasing trend of research on the theme of bullying in early childhood education settings. Descriptive qualitative research is the most widely used method. The results revealed that bullying is influenced by individual factors such as aggressiveness and lack of empathy, families with authoritarian parenting and domestic violence, and schools that lack supervision and have a permissive culture. The impact includes physical, mental, social, and emotional disorders, including depression, low self-esteem, and difficulty interacting. Lack of intervention in schools, as well as the normalization of violence in mass media and digital content, further exacerbates bullying behavior by increasing children's aggressiveness. Therefore, the role of teachers, parents, and communities is crucial in creating a safe environment through anti-bullying policies, social emotional skills training, and interventions for victims and perpetrators.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services using art therapy techniques in reducing narcissistic behavior among students. The approach employed is a quantitative method with an experimental research design, specifically a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of 21 tenth-grade students (Class X-1) at MAPN 4 Medan who were identified as having high levels of narcissism based on the Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI-16) questionnaire. Data analysis techniques included normality test, homogeneity test, and the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results of the normality test indicated that the data were not normally distributed (Sig. < 0.05), thus, non-parametric testing was applied. The homogeneity test showed that the variances of pretest and posttest data were homogeneous (Sig. > 0.05). The Wilcoxon test results revealed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), with all participants scoring lower on the posttest than the pretest, indicating a significant reduction in narcissistic behavior after the intervention. Therefore, group counseling services using art therapy techniques proved to be effective in reducing narcissistic behavior among students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities of Islamic education in the 5.0 era, particularly in Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, as part of an effort to understand the readiness of Islamic educational institutions in facing digital transformation and the demands of the 21st century. The background of this study is based on the urgent need for an Islamic education system that can adapt to technological developments without neglecting spiritual values and Islamic character. This study uses a qualitative approach with an exploratory descriptive design. The research subjects consisted of madrasah principals, Islamic education teachers, pesantren administrators, students, and representatives from the OKU District Education Office and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that the main challenges of Islamic education in OKU lie in the limitations of technological infrastructure, the low competence of teachers in utilizing digital technology, and the absence of strategic planning for digital transformation in education. Meanwhile, opportunities that can be developed include the high enthusiasm of students for digital learning, the potential for collaboration with local communities, and strong social and cultural support for Islamic education. Islamic education in OKU is in a strategic position to undertake sustainable transformation, provided that there is contextual policy support, structured teacher training, and the integration of Islamic values in the use of technology. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for the development of inclusive, adaptive, and competitive Islamic education in the 5.0 era.
