Abstract

This study aims to explore how effective the Kumon method is in enhancing students’ abilities to solve mathematical problems, based on an in-depth analysis of existing literature.  Employing thematic document analysis, three contemporary Indonesian scholarly articles were scrutinized to investigate the effects of the Kumon method on educational outcomes, autonomous learning practices, and logical reasoning abilities. The results show that the Kumon teaching methodology significantly improves students’ understanding of mathematical principles, enhances self-management skills and fosters an independent attitude in the learning environment, and improves academic achievement. Nevertheless, the inherent repetitive characteristics of the program and the constrained avenues for peer interaction may detrimentally influence students’ motivation and levels of engagement. Empirical data shows that although Kumon effectively develops basic mathematics skills, it is better to apply a learning approach that involves interaction and cooperation, so that learning is more tailored to the needs of each student. This finding has significant implications for educators and curriculum designers in formulating organized and student-centered mathematics teaching

Abstract

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) is one of the counseling approaches developed by Albert Ellis. This approach emphasizes the importance of challenging and changing irrational beliefs that are the root of an individual’s emotional and behavioral problems. In the context of group counseling, REBT has great potential in building supportive group dynamics, identifying irrational thoughts, and facilitating the process of cognitive and emotional change. Through group counseling, individuals gain interpersonal support that allows for the process of collective belief disputation, strengthening rationality and increasing self-efficacy. The ABCDE model as the main framework in the REBT counseling process, accompanied by techniques such as role playing, imagery and the use of humor to facilitate cognitive change. Therefore, this article comprehensively discusses the application of REBT in group counseling, focuses on challenging irrational beliefs, and examines its effectiveness based on the findings of various national and international studies.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial development among university students is a strategic response to labor market challenges and youth economic independence. This article examines the role of production and service business practices as learning approaches that affect students’ psychological growth from a humanistic psychology perspective. Using a literature review method, the study highlights seven key psychological aspects: self-efficacy, self-concept, self-regulation, intrinsic motivation, self-actualization, creativity and innovation, and emotional intelligence. The findings reveal that hands-on entrepreneurial experiences strengthen confidence, clarify personal identity, and enhance mental resilience. In addition to economic profit, entrepreneurship provides students a platform for self-expression and psychological growth. Therefore, integrating practice-based approaches into psychology education is highly recommended to produce graduates who are adaptive, resilient, and self-reliant.

Abstract

Kekerasan dalam rumah tangga (KDRT) merupakan pelanggaran terhadap hak asasi manusia berdampak luas, terutama pada ibu dan anak sebagai kelompok paling rentan. Artikel bertujuan mengkaji secara sistematis fakta, teori, dampak, dan solusi dari KDRT terhadap ibu dan anak di Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review, penelusuran dilakukan terhadap artikel-artikel ilmiah terbitan 2019–2024 melalui basis data Google Scholar, DOAJ, dan Garuda. Rumah masih menjadi lokasi utama terjadinya kekerasan, dengan korban terbanyak perempuan dan anak usia remaja. Faktor pemicu mencakup tekanan ekonomi, dominasi budaya patriarki, lemahnya kontrol sosial keluarga, serta ketimpangan gender dilegitimasi oleh norma sosial. Dampak KDRT mencakup luka fisik, trauma psikis, gangguan perkembangan anak, hingga kerentanan sosial jangka panjang. Penanganan dan pencegahan memerlukan pendekatan hukum, psikologis, dan edukatif secara kolaboratif. Program pendampingan, edukasi hukum, dan penguatan sistem perlindungan anak dan perempuan menjadi solusi mendesak untuk menciptakan rumah tangga aman, adil, dan berkeadaban.

Abstract

The development of social skills is crucial for children’s overall well-being, yet children in single-parent families often face unique challenges that may impede this development. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the social skill development of children in single-parent households by reviewing national and international literature from 2015 to 2025. The systematic literature review reveals that children in single-parent families are at higher risk for social, emotional, and academic difficulties, with reported rates of strained peer interactions (76%) and frequent emotional distress (78.5%). However, adaptive parenting styles, strong social support, and tailored interventions, including Parent Management Training (PMT) and school-based programs, emerge as significant protective factors. Furthermore, children’s involvement in household chores is positively associated with increased social skills and fewer depressive symptoms. The findings underscore the importance of holistic, strength-based interventions that address both the challenges and inherent resilience within single-parent families to foster optimal social skill development

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of online commerce via digital platforms such as TikTok Shop has introduced a trend wherein product prices are displayed using fractional rupiah values, such as Rp10,568 or Rp25,723. This emerging practice has prompted ethical and Islamic legal scrutiny, particularly since the use of cent denominations is no longer common in everyday transactions in Indonesia. This study aims to examine how such pricing practices are implemented by sellers on TikTok Shop and whether they align with the principles of sharia-compliant marketing. This research is grounded in the theoretical framework of Sharia Marketing, which emphasizes four core values: monotheism (tauhid), justice (equilibrium), responsible freedom (free will), and accountability (fardh). The analysis also incorporates the concept of the sharia marketing mix, with particular attention to the pricing component, to assess the religious validity of using fractional pricing in digital marketplaces. A qualitative case study approach was employed for this research. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with two TikTok Shop participants: the seller @R2VARIASIMOTOR2 and the affiliate marketer @Showcaseauliaivya. These interviews were conducted to explore their motivations, rationales, and the perceived impact of employing fractional pricing in their business transactions. The findings indicate that both participants adopted fractional pricing either as a deliberate marketing strategy or as a default output of the TikTok Shop’s automated pricing system, with no intent to deceive customers. Final transaction amounts are rounded at the point of purchase, ensuring no financial harm to the buyer. From a sharia marketing standpoint, this pricing approach remains acceptable provided it avoids elements of deceit (gharar), is conducted transparently, and is rooted in sincere intent. Consequently, the use of fractional rupiah pricing on TikTok Shop may be regarded as permissible under Islamic commercial ethics, so long as it adheres to the principles of honesty, clarity, and equity in transactions.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of bilingual learning (Indonesian-English) using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by the ABCya digital platform in teaching 3D geometry to elementary students. Through qualitative library research, five key studies (2020-2024) were analyzed, focusing on how this integrated approach affects conceptual understanding, language acquisition, and learning motivation. Findings reveal that: (1) PBL’s problem-solving framework enhances spatial reasoning while naturally embedding bilingual terminology; (2) ABCya’s gamified interface significantly increases engagement through interactive 3D shape visualization; and (3) the bilingual approach strengthens both mathematical and linguistic competencies when balanced appropriately. The study highlights the importance of teacher competency in bilingual pedagogy and the need for supportive learning environments. These results align with constructivist principles and multimedia learning theory, demonstrating how technology-enhanced PBL can transform abstract geometric concepts into tangible bilingual learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the practice of murabahah financing at the Sharia Bakti Huria Syariah Savings and Loans and Financing Cooperative, Bone Branch and its impact on members' welfare from the perspective of sharia economic law. Murabahah financing is one of the widely used sharia financial products and is considered in accordance with sharia principles because it is free from usury and prioritizes justice. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the practice of murabahah financing in cooperatives is in accordance with sharia principles, upholding justice and transparency. This financing improves the welfare of members, expands access to capital, and strengthens public trust in sharia finance in a sustainable manner. This study provides recommendations for improving the quality of murabahah financing to support the sustainability of cooperatives and the welfare of members as a whole.

Abstract

The Role of Community Empowerment can help improve the ability and utilize the potential resources available to solve the problems faced. The Surabaya City Government created the Batik TIN Gundih program. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative research to analyze the development of creative tourism at the TIN Batik Gallery based on empowerment through SMEs in Gundih Village, Surabaya City. This study analyzes the potential, benefits, and obstacles in tourism development efforts, the focus of this research is seen from the elements of tourism development proposed by (Suwantoro, 1997) which involves five main indicators, namely tourist objects and attractions, tourist infrastructure, tourist facilities, management or infrastructure, and society or environment. The results of the study indicate that this Batik Gallery as a whole has very great potential to be developed in the future into an advanced and leading creative tourism destination in the city of Surabaya. During the three years of implementation, there are still several obstacles such as the lack of recognition of Batik TIN Gundih as a creative tourism destination and batik production in the city of Surabaya due to the lack of digitalization management and promotion, the lack of adequate supporting facilities and infrastructure, the absence of a professional institutional system and legal umbrella for tourism, and the limited human resources (HR) of the participating community, especially the competent young generation. Therefore, support from the Surabaya City Government, improvement of infrastructure and facilities, and internal development of HR of Batik TIN UMKM administrators are the keys to developing this creative tourism.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi legislasi yang dijalankan oleh Satlantas Polri dalam pengawasan dan penegakan hukum terkait pembayaran pajak kendaraan bermotor menggunakan metode yuridis normatif. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah analisis terhadap peraturan perundang-undangan, doktrin, dan kebijakan hukum yang relevan, dengan pengumpulan data melalui studi kepustakaan terhadap bahan hukum sekunder seperti undang-undang, peraturan Polri, serta literatur hukum terkait. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif normatif untuk memahami penerapan norma hukum dan kewenangan Satlantas dalam penegakan hukum pembayaran pajak kendaraan bermotor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Satlantas Polri melaksanakan pengawasan dan penegakan hukum melalui pemeriksaan keabsahan STNK dan pengesahan pajak, yang didukung oleh pedoman resmi seperti Surat Telegram Kapolri Nomor 1487/VI/2017. Satlantas tidak hanya melakukan tindakan represif berupa tilang terhadap kendaraan yang belum membayar pajak, tetapi juga mengedepankan tindakan preventif melalui sosialisasi dan edukasi kepada masyarakat. Sistem Administrasi Manunggal Satu Atap (Samsat) menjadi instrumen penting dalam integrasi pelayanan pembayaran pajak dan pengesahan STNK, sehingga memudahkan pengawasan. Namun, efektivitas pelaksanaan masih terkendala oleh koordinasi antar instansi yang belum optimal, ketidaktahuan masyarakat, serta keterbatasan sumber daya petugas. Penindakan yang dilakukan Satlantas juga terkadang menimbulkan kontroversi karena tumpang tindih kewenangan dengan Dinas Pendapatan Daerah. Meski demikian, peran Satlantas dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan kepatuhan masyarakat terhadap pembayaran pajak kendaraan bermotor telah memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap penerimaan pajak daerah dan ketertiban lalu lintas.
