Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity aimed to enhance the knowledge of 10th-grade students at SMAN 1 Kuok, Kampar Regency, regarding the sustainable palm oil industry, palm oil processing, and the health benefits of its derivative products, especially red palm oil. The background of the activity was the students' lack of knowledge about palm oil and its derivatives, despite living in a palm oil plantation hub. The implementation methods included a location survey and needs analysis, knowledge and technology transfer, active partner participation, interactive counseling, and evaluation through pre-test and post-test. The results showed high enthusiasm from the participants. Questionnaire-based evaluation revealed that the activity was considered highly beneficial and successfully improved students' understanding of palm oil, its derivative products, and their health benefits. It was concluded that this PkM activity was effective in increasing students' knowledge and is expected to encourage their role as agents of change in supporting the sustainable palm oil industry in their region.

Abstract

The accreditation process for study programs is an important step in ensuring the quality of higher education, which requires systematic and efficient management of accreditation documents. In the Department of Informatics Engineering, accreditation document management is still carried out manually, often causing difficulties in searching, storing, and coordinating between teams compiling forms. This study aims to design and develop a web-based accreditation document management information system that can facilitate the management, search, and monitoring of accreditation documents in accordance with BAN-PT or LAM INFOKOM standards. This system is designed to support multiple study programs to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the accreditation process. With the implementation of this system, it is hoped that the accreditation process for study programs in the Department of Informatics Engineering can run faster, more structured, and more integrated.

Abstract

The car repair shop business does not only rely on car maintenance services, but is supported by comfortable facilities and excellent service. The car repair shop "Samudra Auto Clinic 86" is a car repair shop business with a number of limitations, including limited types of service services, infrastructure, funding sources, and the ability to manage the workshop. The purpose of community service activities is to provide training in car service with injection technology, implementation of workshop administration systems, preparation of financial reports, marketing management, and occupational safety and health environmental management. The target subject of the activity is the car repair shop "Samudra Auto Clinic 86" located in Klaten Regency. The results of this community service activity are; 1) the application of new technology in car vehicle service, by adding types of services, namely offering car service services with injection technology so that partners can increase service competitiveness and remain existent amidst competition and can increase workshop income; and 2) availability of data on customers, employee data related to the payroll system and service transactions, supplier data, goods in the workshop, services performed, complaint transactions, service type transactions, employees, payment data, and workshop receipt data so that the workshop can implement good management. The “Samudra Auto Clinic 86” Car Workshop is expected to continue to provide HR training and development that will increase employee productivity and performance, thereby contributing to the stability and economic growth of the community so that it can realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS).

Abstract

This community service program assists the management of the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) in Jatirejo Village, Lendah District, Kulon Progo Regency, and provides training in institutional management and entrepreneurship to support the economy of the Jatirejo Village community in improving organizational performance optimally and effectively. This community service program will be implemented by providing outreach and support to BUMDes administrators in Jatirejo Village. The service implementation methodology is carried out in three phases: an introduction phase to identify partner locations, an implementation phase to contact partners and conduct training activities, and an evaluation phase to determine how well this is being done. The training activities can be attended by BUMDes stakeholders. The material provided discusses the role of BUMDes as a driver of the economy, organization, and entrepreneurship. It is hoped that this PKM activity will provide knowledge to BUMDes administrators in Jatirejo Village and will build the role of BUMDes as a driving force for the village economy, organizational management and entrepreneurship formation. The results of this community service program are also expected to serve as a basis for the government to formulate policies and programs related to BUMDes development issues.

Abstract

This community engagement program aims to revitalize Kolam Hawai in Atue Village as an educational tourism space integrated with cultural da’wah values. The activity responds to the declining condition of the site, where most facilities were damaged and community participation in maintenance had decreased. The program employed the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach through five stages: discovery, dream, design, define, and reflect. Methods included observation, participatory interviews, focus group discussions, workshops, and collaborative action involving local youth, community leaders, women’s groups, and the Kolam Hawai management team. The findings show significant improvements in physical infrastructure, increased community involvement, and the emergence of new community structures managing the tourist site. The program also fostered behavioral changes toward environmental care and strengthened local leadership capable of sustaining future development initiatives. The revitalized Kolam Hawai now functions not only as a recreational space but also as a center for environmental education and cultural da’wah. These outcomes indicate that the ABCD approach is effective for strengthening local capacity and encouraging sustainable, community-driven social transformation.

Abstract

The paradigm of script or literacy does not only encompass basic literacy, which includes the ability to read, write, and calculate. Nowadays, script or literacy can be understood as the individual's ability and skills to access personal potential, their environment, and solve problems necessary in daily life. This service aims to strengthen literacy for learners who have completed basic literacy through independent literacy activities (KUM), which is a learning activity based on independent efforts, learning and striving, and learning that results. his method is one of the strategies used to address the problem of re-emerging illiteracy that occurs among learners who have completed basic literacy. The activity is carried out in several stages. The planning consists of three steps, namely: making agreements with partners, collaborating with successful entrepreneurs/models, and designing mentoring with partners. In the implementation phase, the mentoring is carried out in 3 stages, namely: strengthening reading, writing, and arithmetic skills; providing skills based on local potential and strategies for business development; and mentoring for independent business groups. The evaluation includes both learning evaluation and program evaluation. The results of the independent business literacy program include several outcomes: sustained reading, writing, and arithmetic skills for functional literacy learners, the development of skills to process local coastal resources, and the ability to run independent businesses to support the community's economy through independent business literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ perceptions of improving reading skills through the implementation of a school literacy approach at SMP Negeri 1 Mappakasunggu. Data were collected using questionnaire measuring students’ experiences, interests, and views regarding school literacy activities, including the use of a reading corner. The research employed a descriptive quantitative design. The findings indicate that the majority of students responded positively to the literacy activities conducted at the school. Students perceived that literacy programs—particularly the availability of a reading corner—helped enhance their interest in reading and improved their comprehension skills. These results reinforce that the school literacy approach can serve as an effective strategy for strengthening students’ reading abilities. The study recommends that schools continue to promote a robust literacy culture by providing adequate reading facilities, implementing daily reading habits, and fostering collaboration among teachers, students, and the school community.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to create promotional tools in the form of catalogs, profile videos and Teaching Factory of A BEE Packaging House, Department of Business Administration as an effort to build Brand Awareness because currently A Bee Packaging House is in the introduction phase towards the growth phase in the product life cycle. This activity is proposed in accordance with the department's request to introduce and grow demand for packaging design and printing services for products of business actors and MSMEs fostered by Polbeng. This activity is expected to increase brand awareness, capacity and productivity of A BEE Packaging House. The method used is to create catalog designs and prints, create profile videos uploaded on social media. The output of the activity is a product catalog, profile video, A BEE Packaging House and socialization of program results in seminars or media. The impact (outcome) of this activity is increased brand awareness of Rumah Kemasan A BEE in the eyes of business actors and MSMEs and increased demand for product packaging design and printing services for business actors and MSMEs fostered by Polbeng.
