Abstract

Financial literacy is a crucial element in raising public awareness regarding financial management. It is closely linked to financial planning, with family financial planning being a key aspect of financial management, specifically in creating a monthly budget. According to the 2024 OJK survey, the financial literacy index for women (66.75%) is higher compared to men (64.14%). Based on these findings, the outreach team from the Mathematics Study Program at Universitas Terbuka aims to support OJK's efforts to improve family financial literacy among female parents at SDI Khazanah Kebajikan. The program implementation is divided into three phases: preparation (where the outreach team conducts a direct visit to the school), execution, and evaluation (via a partner satisfaction survey). The survey results reveal that participants were highly satisfied with the program, with a satisfaction rate of 95%. This satisfaction was attributed to various factors, including the speaker's knowledge, the perceived benefits of the program, the relevance of the topics presented by the outreach team in line with their expertise, the program's ability to address current issues, and the clarity with which the material was delivered.

Abstract

The SISKA program, which combines cattle farming in the same area as oil palm, allows an attachment between crops and livestock in utilizing waste. This program can be aligned with the Cattle Grant Program from the Ministry of Agriculture which has been taking place in Teluk Merbau Village, Dayun District, Siak Regency since 2007.  This community service was carried out from December 1 to 15, 2024. The stages of the service began with discussions with village officials, visits to the plantation area, implementation of socialization followed by discussion and questions and answers, delivery of material and distributing questionnaires to respondents involved in the activity. Plantation farmers who receive cattle grants are expected to be able to process the cow dung waste produced properly so that it can be used as a source of organic fertilizer to be applied to their oil palm land. The use of organic fertilizers as a companion to chemical fertilizers on oil palm land is expected to increase land productivity and reduce environmental pollution.

Abstract

Empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is a strategic step in facing the challenges of economic digitalization. This study aims to explore the impact of using marketplace applications as an online marketing medium on the sustainability and growth of MSME businesses. Digital marketplaces allow MSMEs to access wider markets, reduce operational costs, and increase marketing efficiency. However, challenges such as limited digital literacy, lack of trust in online transactions, and adaptation to technology are significant obstacles. The research approach used a survey method and in-depth interviews with 100 MSME actors in various economic sectors. The results showed that 75% of respondents experienced an increase in sales after using the marketplace, while 60% acknowledged an increase in digital competence through training related to the platform. The study also identified the importance of the role of government and private institutions in providing digital education, access to funding, and technology infrastructure for MSMEs. The conclusion of the study confirms that the use of marketplace applications is not only a modern marketing solution, but also encourages local economic empowerment. Recommendations are given to improve the effectiveness of training, collaboration between industry players, and technology integration to support MSME competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

The Mawar Women Farmers Group (KWT) at BPP Maritenggae faces challenges in optimizing land yard products and organic waste utilization, as agricultural production increases, organic waste such as crop residues, fruit peels, and other organic materials are often not well utilized properly resulting in untapped economic potential. This community service program aims to enhance KWT members' skills in processing land products and organic waste into innovative, marketable products. The training employs lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, providing participants with real experience in production, packaging, and marketing. The results indicate an increase in participants' knowledge and skills in processing organic waste into compost and transforming agricultural products into value-added goods. Furthermore, this training fosters an entrepreneurial spirit among KWT members, potentially improving their economic well-being and self-sufficiency.
