Abstract

The Village Development Index (IDM) divides villages into five levels, namely very underdeveloped villages, underdeveloped villages, developing villages, advanced villages, and independent villages. This division aims to provide clarity in determining the level of progress of a village, as well as to establish a scale of priorities for formulating appropriate policy planning. Based on data released by the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration (Kemendesa PDTT), in 2024, Boro-Boro Village will be categorized as a developing village. Therefore, it is necessary to provide technical guidance on developing priority programs to help Boro-Boro Village become a self-sufficient village. This technical guidance aims to improve the ability of village officials to develop effective and efficient priority programs. The technical guidance method uses a participatory and collaborative approach, involving village officials and other stakeholders. The results of the technical guidance show that village officials now have a better ability to develop priority programs and increase village independence.   Keywords: IDM, Independent Village, Priority Program

Abstract

Empowering farmers in Ketapang Village, Kademangan District, Probolinggo City, has become one of the areas with considerable agribusiness potential, both in terms of natural resources and labor. A lack of legal understanding weakens farmers' bargaining position when dealing with other business actors, while limited digital literacy hinders access to wider markets. This community service activity aims to empower farmers through education on trade law and training in sustainable agribusiness product marketing. The method used is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), which actively involves farmers in problem identification, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results of the activity show a significant increase in farmers' understanding of trade law, farm management skills, and digital and sustainable marketing strategies. Thus, this activity contributes to the creation of a fair, competitive, and sustainable agricultural system, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Abstract

Training and mentoring are two ways of implementing a community service project aimed at improving the ability of MSMEs to record digital financial reports using the LAMIKRO application. The basis of this community service project is the lack of financial literacy and mastery of digital technology that still makes it difficult for many MSMEs to record and report their financial information. The activity was carried out at the Putra Juwana MSME in Klurak Baru Village, Bokoharjo, Prambanan, Sleman using a participatory method through stages of preparation, socialization, training and technical assistance, as well as evaluation and monitoring. The results of the activity showed that business actors have improved skills in operating the LAMIKRO application and are able to separate personal finances from business. This program has been proven to increase efficiency, data accuracy, and financial transparency and supports the digitalization of MSMEs.

Abstract

This community engagement activity was designed to improve the statistical competencies of Management students at Cenderawasih University, with emphasis on the practical use of SPSS for academic research and undergraduate thesis preparation. Held on November 14, 2025, the program involved 55 seventh-semester students who engaged in interactive explanations, software demonstrations, and guided exercises. The training targeted students’ limited understanding of quantitative techniques by introducing systematic procedures such as identifying variables, entering data, conducting classical assumption tests, and applying multiple linear regression. A discussion session supported participants in mastering each analytical stage and developing independent problem-solving skills. The outcomes showed clear progress in students’ ability to execute and interpret tests for normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, autocorrelation, and linearity, along with regression results. Overall, the program significantly strengthened their statistical literacy and supported the enhancement of quantitative research quality in the Management Department.

Abstract

Planning for the regeneration of administrators in the church area is a very important strategic step to ensure the sustainability of service and effective leadership in the midst of the dynamics of the people. This challenge of regeneration is faced by the Church of Saint Joseph Bintaran Yogyakarta. As a church located in the middle of the city, the Bintaran Church has a problem with the number of young people and young families who are starting to get busy. Therefore, this service is carried out to formulate steps for territorial regeneration. This service uses a SWOT analysis approach as a basic framework with the focus group discussion (FGD) method to find problems and needs. The results of FGDs with several teritories show that most teritories have a strong foundation as a community, so that the pattern of regeneration can be flexible according to the needs of the people in the territory. Thus, the regeneration program that needs to be carried out is to increase informal meetings to strengthen the sense of community and leadership training

Abstract

Coastal communities at Tondonggeu Village face limitations in post-harvest fish processing, resulting in low added value for seafood products. To address this, this community service program provided training in marinated fish and fish otak-otak processing technology, business management mentoring, and digital marketing strategies. A total of 30 participants (90% women) participated in the practical and theoretical training. Evaluation using a Likert-based questionnaire (1–5) showed an average score of 4.1 for the training implementation, and participants reported significant improvements in technical skills, hygiene understanding, and entrepreneurial motivation. These results indicate that a participatory and capacity-based approach can strengthen local economic empowerment and support the formation of small businesses based on fishery products. Further mentoring for packaging, business licensing, and marketing expansion is recommended.
