Abstract

The misuse of tramadol and trihexyphenidyl (THD) among adolescents poses a risk of dependence and health problems. This study aims to provide education about the dangers of drug abuse and analyze its effectiveness in increasing the knowledge of high school students in Cihawuk Village. The activity was held on August 19, 2025, with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. Twenty students joined in the pre-test, followed by an interactive lecture and leaflet distribution as reference material, and then the post-test. The instrument, consisting of 10 questions, had undergone validity and reliability testing, with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.700. The results showed that the average pre-test score of 53.50 increased to 81.50 on the post-test (an increase of 52.34%). The Wilcoxon test results showed a Z value of -3.763 with p= 0.000 (p< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results. Education using lectures and leaflets proved to be effective in increasing adolescents' knowledge about the dangers of drug abuse.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) is one form of student service to society, implemented as part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This activity aims to empower communities, particularly in the field of education, by applying the knowledge acquired during their academic studies. This research focuses on the role of KKN students in improving the quality of education in Citorondool Village, Sarimukti, Pasirwangi District, Garut Regency. Citorondool Village is one of the areas facing challenges in providing quality education, primarily due to limited access and adequate facilities. Through the KKN program, students strive to contribute by organizing activities such as tutoring, educational outreach, and introducing technology to students and the community. The research findings indicate that KKN students significantly enhance students' learning motivation and broaden the community’s awareness of the importance of education.

Abstract

The issue of household waste management remains a significant challenge in society, including in Bongkok Village, Paseh Subdistrict, Sumedang Regency. Low awareness and limited utilization of waste often lead to environmental pollution and potential health problems. Through the Community Service Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung, Group 27 conducted educational and training activities for the community, especially housewives, on managing used cooking oil (minyak jelantah) and organic waste by applying the 3R concept (reduce, reuse, recycle). The innovation introduced includes processing household waste into aromatherapy candles made from used cooking oil, providing economic value while being environmentally friendly. Meanwhile, organic waste is processed into compost and liquid fertilizer using the stacked bucket method (ember tumpuk). This program aims to improve the community’s knowledge, skills, and awareness of responsible waste management while offering practical solutions to reduce environmental pollution. The results show an increase in community enthusiasm and understanding of the importance of proper household waste management. It is expected that, through this activity, the community will become more independent and actively contribute to creating a cleaner, healthier, and more productive environment.

Abstract

Stunting remains a serious challenge in health development in Indonesia, including in West Bandung Regency, which has a high prevalence. Stunting prevention efforts can be implemented during pregnancy through adequate and balanced nutrition. One local food with potential for utilization is Moringa oleifera leaves, known to contain high levels of protein, iron, vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium, and antioxidants. This study aims to explore public understanding, response, and acceptance of the innovation of developing moringa leaf-based cookies as additional nutritional intake for pregnant women in an effort to prevent stunting. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The activity was carried out on August 26, 2025, in Kertawangi Village, Cisarua District, West Bandung Regency, involving 10 participants consisting of PKK mothers, UPTKB mothers, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers. The results of the activity showed that participants were enthusiastic, understood the benefits of moringa leaves, and were able to practice making moringa leaf cookies independently. Cookies are considered a healthy, easy-to-make snack with the potential to be developed into a highly nutritious local food alternative to support stunting prevention. Furthermore, this innovation also opens up opportunities for family economic empowerment through the use of moringa leaves as a functional food ingredient.

Abstract

The problem that often occurs in the surrounding environment is generally the problem of waste. The lack of waste management facilities faced by the Girimukti village community and the continued existence of people's habit of burning rubbish openly causes thick smoke, unpleasant odors and environmental pollution. The method applied was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which actively involved the community from the stages of observation, socialization, construction, testing, to evaluation. The results indicate that the Rocket Stove effectively reduces the volume of organic waste, accelerates the combustion process, and produces lower smoke emissions compared to traditional open burning. Moreover, the ash produced can be reused as organic fertilizer, providing added value for local agriculture. This program not only introduces appropriate technology innovation but also encourages behavioral changes in waste disposal and management.

Abstract

Stunting remains a major health problem in Indonesia that affects children's physical growth and cognitive development, mainly due to chronic malnutrition from pregnancy to the age of two. This study aims to promote the use of purple sweet potatoes as the main ingredient in pudding as a Supplementary Feeding (PMT) in an effort to prevent stunting among toddlers in Rancamulya Village, North Sumedang District. The method used was a participatory approach involving mothers of toddlers, posyandu cadres, midwives, and nutritionists in the dissemination and training of purple sweet potato pudding making. This activity was carried out in stages, including dissemination of the benefits of purple sweet potatoes, training in pudding processing, and discussions to increase participants' understanding of the importance of consuming nutritious foods. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding of the benefits of purple sweet potatoes, which are rich in vitamin A, fiber, and antioxidants, as a practical and economical local nutritional solution. This socialization was also supported by previous research showing an improvement in the nutritional status of toddlers who received purple sweet potato-based PMT. Thus, the use of purple sweet potatoes as a supplementary food ingredient can be an effective strategy in reducing the prevalence of stunting in the community.

Abstract

The activity "Socialization of Language Development and Implementation of Early Literacy Culture in Cordova Samarinda" generally aims to find out the Socialization of Language Development and Implementation of Early Literacy Culture for Class Teachers and Students of Grade IV SD Cordova Samarinda. The method of implementing this service is by means of surveys and direct socialization in the field. Introduction to language development and getting used to literacy culture from an early age can be started by communicating with people in the home environment, community environment, school environment, by reading story books or fairy tales to children routinely by parents at home and teachers can also implement reading books and students listening in class. Although it seems like a simple activity, reading books to children is the first stage of introducing children to the world of literacy. Improving literacy culture in the digital era, for example, is very important. Literacy has a big role in training children's basic skills in reading, writing and telling stories.

Abstract

Islamic education plays a strategic role in shaping the character and morals of students based on Islamic values. Amid the dynamics of increasingly pluralistic and multicultural societies, Islamic education faces the challenge of adapting without losing the essence of its teachings. Multiculturalism demands that Islamic education be more inclusive, tolerant, and open to diversity. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach to examine how Islamic education responds to the challenges of multiculturalism and the strategies that can be implemented in the learning process. The findings indicate that strengthening universal Islamic values such as tolerance, justice, and compassion is essential to building social harmony. Furthermore, curriculum development sensitive to multicultural contexts and teacher training with a pluralistic perspective are strategic steps to deliver relevant Islamic education in the era of globalization. Thus, Islamic education functions not only as a medium for transmitting knowledge and religious values but also as an agent of peace and social integration in pluralistic societies.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi e-learning dalam pengembangan karyawan. Pendekatan penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui studi literatur, yang melibatkan pembacaan literatur dari berbagai sumber termasuk buku, laporan, artikel, dan jurnal dengan menggunakan pendakatan kualitatif dan deduktif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah keberhasilan penerapan e-learning dalam pengembangan karyawan ditentukan oleh perencanaan yang matang melalui analisis kebutuhan, pemilihan platform yang tepat, penyusunan konten interaktif, pelatihan teknis, serta monitoring dan evaluasi berkelanjutan. Meskipun menawarkan berbagai keuntungan seperti fleksibilitas, kemandirian belajar, kontinuitas pembelajaran, hingga jangkauan yang luas. Namun e-learning juga menghadapi sejumlah tantangan berupa resistensi karyawan, keterbatasan infrastruktur, kualitas konten, dan lemahnya monitoring. Untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut, perusahaan perlu melakukan upaya strategis termasuk peningkatan literasi digital, investasi infrastruktur teknologi, perancangan konten yang interaktif, serta pemberian reward untuk mendorong motivasi karyawan. Dengan pendekatan tersebut, e-learning dapat berfungsi optimal dalam mendukung peningkatan kompetensi karyawan sekaligus memperkuat daya saing perusahaan di era digital.

Abstract

This research is meant to understand how digital literacy, educational skills, and constant training can made teacher competence grow in big cities of Indonesia. The study was carried out using a qualitative approach and a descriptive method. Data were gathered through interviews which were structured and in-depth with 30 teachers from different levels of education. Principals of the schools were involved as supporting informants to get a wider perspective. The results reveal that digital literacy is extremely important to a teacher as it helps him or her to incorporate technology into the teaching and learning process. Besides that, pedagogical skills equip the teacher with the ability of planning, implementation, and evaluation of the desired learning experiences that are in line with the pupils' needs. The continuous training is also very important as it allows the teachers to keep their knowledge up-to-date, their skills developed, and their professionalism maintained amid the constant changes in the field of education. This study suggests schools and policymakers to improve teacher training programs with more energy, support the use of technology in education, and create a work environment that is conducive to collaboration and continuous professional development.
