Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is a journal on Faculty of Education. Abstract

This study aims to identify effective strategies for teaching English to young learners at SDN 02 Sukamulya Cikarang Utara. Focusing on student engagement and language acquisition, it explores interactive and multimodal methods suited to primary school settings in Indonesia. Using qualitative methods—document analysis, interviews with English teachers, and classroom observations—the study highlights key strategies that enhance learning. These include the use of visual aids (e.g., flashcards, posters), game-based activities (e.g., “Simon Says”), and song-based exercises (e.g., “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”). Storytelling with repetitive sentence structures helps reinforce vocabulary and grammar, while code-switching between English and Bahasa Indonesia improves comprehension and reduces anxiety. The findings emphasize the importance of teacher creativity, adaptability, and varied materials in building a fun and effective learning environment. These insights offer valuable guidance for educators aiming to improve English instruction in similar primary education contexts

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran rotation trio exchange. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan lokasi penelitian di SMPN 4 Awangpone. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas VIII A dengan jumlah siswa 25orang, teknik pengumpulan data yaitu tes, observasi, dokumentasi, dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan menggunakan distribusi frekuensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I terdapat 14 yang siswa berada dalam kategori tidak tuntas dengan jumlah persentase 56% dan 11 siswa yang dikategorikan tuntas dari keseluruhan siswa dengan jumlah persentase 44%, pada siklus II terdapat 3 siswa yang hasil belajarnya berada dalam kategori tidak tuntas dengan persentase 12%, dan 22 siswa yang berada dalam kategori tuntas dari keseluruhan siswa dengan jumlah persentase 88%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa setelah dilaksanakan proses belajar mengajar dengan penerapan model pembelajaran rotation trio exchange terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII A pada mata pelajaran IPS SMPN 4 Awangpone.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to train the teaching staff at PATMOS Learning Center in the process of creating teaching materials, which will later be used at the learning center, by utilizing the Canva application. The socialization was carried out using a presentation and interaction method, where the 15 teaching staff participants gave positive feedback during the activity. The presentation was conducted by displaying and explaining how to use the Canva application through a PowerPoint presentation and by directly demonstrating it on the Canva website. Through the interactions, it was revealed that some participants had never used Canva before, making this socialization very beneficial for the teaching staff at the learning center, as seen from the participants' enthusiasm throughout the event. The Community Service team also hopes that in the future, there will be further training for the teaching staff to better understand how to use the Canva application and assist in the process of creating teaching materials.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the capacity of local communities in managing homestays based on local wisdom as part of developing a sustainable and environmentally friendly hospitality industry. The program was conducted in Gianyar Regency, Bali, with 30 participants, a region rich in cultural and natural potential yet still facing challenges in managing tourism accommodations professionally and ethically. The socialization emphasized principles of sustainable tourism, cultural preservation, local value integration, and green hospitality practices. The results showed that the community responded positively, expressing enthusiasm to apply the insights gained, particularly in implementing Tri Hita Karana values and local narratives in homestay development. These findings align with theories such as Community-Based Tourism, Cultural Capital, and the Triple Bottom Line, confirming the importance of culture-based, participatory, and sustainable approaches in building a resilient hospitality sector.

Abstract

Populasi remaja di Indonesia merupakan komponen signifikan dalam demografi nasional, mencapai sekitar 25% dari total penduduk Indonesia berdasarkan Sensus Penduduk 2020, khususnya dalam rentang usia 15-19 tahun. Menurut Rahayuningrum et al. (2022), perundungan menimbulkan dampak luas bagi korban, dari gangguan fisik hingga isolasi sosial. Penulisan ini bertujuan Mengidentifikasi tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dilakukan Edukasi Pencegahan Bullying Pada Siswa SMP Negeri 2 Kembaran. Dengan menggunakan metode teknik ceramah merupakan pendekatan pelaksanaan yang digunakan untuk mengatasi kesulitan mitra. Untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan peserta, kami meminta mereka untuk mengidentifikasi pengetahuan mereka sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan pengabdian. Persiapan, penyaringan peserta, pelaksanaan kegiatan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi merupakan tiga tahap yang membentuk Program Pengabdian Masyarakat. Bahwa tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dilakukan edukasi pencegahan bullying pada siswa SMP Negeri 2 kembaran Kabupaten Banyumas dengan nilai rata-rata, mean 69, median 60.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kreativitas digital siswa SMK Darul Kamilin melalui pelatihan editing video dengan aplikasi Kinemaster. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan enam pertemuan pelatihan, mulai dari pengenalan fitur, praktik editing, hingga penyusunan proyek video edukatif. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan nilai dari 39% (pretest) menjadi 78% (postest), dengan gain score 0,67 (kategori sedang–tinggi). Siswa juga menunjukkan peningkatan kepercayaan diri dan kemampuan membuat video secara mandiri. Meskipun ada kendala teknis, pelatihan ini efektif. Disarankan pelatihan serupa diintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum untuk meningkatkan literasi digital siswa.

Abstract

The results of this study indicate that the role of the mosque in improving the religious education of the Brekat Village Community is due to some people who use the mosque as a religious activity only. While the mosque has a role in all worship carried out by Muslims. Through qualitative methods, researchers have found that the role of the mosque is very influential in the religious education of the Brekat Tegal Village community. The role of the mosque makes the mosque a place of worship, religious activities, social activities and activities to gain knowledge for the Brekat village community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 12 Medan pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Upaya ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) yang didukung oleh LKPD elektronik selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Penelitian ini melibatkan 30 siswa kelas X sebagai subjek. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus, di mana setiap siklus mencakup dua kali pertemuan untuk pembelajaran dan satu kali pertemuan untuk evaluasi kemampuan berpikir kritis serta tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model cooperative learning tipe TPS dengan bantuan LKPD elektronik memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan skor rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis yang awalnya hanya 42,39 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 0%, meningkat menjadi 66,25 dengan ketuntasan 40% setelah siklus pertama, dan mencapai rata-rata 85 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 86,67% setelah siklus kedua. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS yang didukung LKPD elektronik efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 12 Medan.

Abstract

This community service aims to empower housewives in kedungdadi village, Sugio District, Lamongan Regency, through training in processing soy milk with innovative flavor variants and packaging improvements, in order to improve skills and economic independence based on local potential. The method used is a qualitative participatory approach with the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) method, involving 30 housewives and local PKK members. The activities were carried out in two main sessions, namely counseling on the potential of soybeans as a nutritious food ingredient and training in making soy milk with chocolate, strawberry, and original flavors. The results of Community Service show that participants gained new knowledge regarding the potential for diversifying soybean products with high economic value. In addition, the enthusiasm of participants in participating in the training showed success in improving their soy milk processing skills and entrepreneurial potential. Some participants even plan to produce and market this innovative product more widely This Community Service concludes that empowerment based on local potential with a participatory approach is able to create household economic solutions, especially for housewives, and increase village economic independence through processed soybean products.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship Women who joined the organization of the Medan Tuntungan Micro, Small Medium Enterprises Producer Cooperative (UMKM) in Baru Subdistrict, Ladang Bambu Village, Tuntungan District, Medan City, Sumatra; this cooperative houses 53 female MSME members consisting of homemakers and teenagers. He was aged 21 years to 60 years. The members of this cooperative have 152 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) units with 42 types of businesses. This research uses a qualitative and quantitative approach with a focus on case studies to gain an in-depth understanding of the women's entrepreneurship model through the Medan Tuntungan Cooperative in Baru Village, Ladang Bambu Village, Medan Tuntungan District, Medan City, North Sumatra. In this article, we will discuss three business units as start-ups, namely the tape business group unit, sweet potato chips, and dry cakes. The raw material for tapai (pai tape) will then be written on an ongoing basis for other business units as a community service activity by the Faculty of Business Economics at the Islamic University of North Sumatra in collaboration with the Study Center of Universiti Teknologi Mara Malaysia. Community service is carried out for MSME groups in the areas of knowledge, skills, and behaviour in marketing, bookkeeping, Marketing, and business networking.
