Kreasi: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat adalah jurnal pengabdian pada masyarakat yang bertaraf nasional, khusus Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini yang diterbitkan oleh Persatuan Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini Wilayah Sumatera. Artikel yang dimuat dalam Kreasi: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat, meliputi pelatihan, penyuluhan, pendampingan, pemberdayaan masyarakat, Teknologi Tepat Guna, Desain, dan akese sosial. Kegiatan pengabdian disusun dalam suatu kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Tujuan dari jurnal ini adalah untuk menyebarluaskan pemikiran konseptual dan hasil kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat. Penerbitan jurnal ini akan dilakukan dalam satu tahun, mulai tahun 2021 terbitannya sebanyak dua kali terbit, yaitu pada bulan April dan Oktober.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is an approach that allows teachers to teach students by considering their individual differences. The Independent Curriculum is a curriculum that gives teachers the freedom to develop learning methods that suit students' needs. In the current digital era, the implementation of IT (Information Technology) based media can be an effective solution in differentiated learning in the Merdeka curriculum. This service activity aims to introduce and provide training on the use of technology-based media as part of the learning process in the application of differentiated learning. This service activity is based on the results of an initial study of teachers in Gantarang District, Bulukumba Regency through interview techniques and direct observation. The observation results show that educators have minimal knowledge about the use of IT media in the learning process. Apart from that, there is a lack of teacher skills in operating computer equipment, because currently only operators use computers/laptops and teachers apply learning using conventional methods. Therefore, adequate support and training is needed for teachers in implementing technology-based media in differentiated learning. The results obtained show that the implementation of IT-based media in differentiated learning in the Merdeka curriculum has several benefits. First, IT-based media can help teachers identify the needs and abilities of individual students. Second, IT-based media can provide variations in learning methods.

Abstract

This community service activity focuses on assisting the development of character and human resources (HR) among the student organization leaders of the Early Childhood Islamic Education Student Association (PIAUD) at STAIN Bengkalis through a coaching approach. Coaching was selected as it facilitates holistic personal and professional growth, which is essential for shaping future leaders. The program aimed to enhance leadership, communication, and teamwork skills among the student organization leaders. This PkM was created using the method. The results of this initiative show significant improvements in various aspects of character and performance, positively impacting the organization's effectiveness. This program offers a model for HR character development that can be implemented in other student organizations.

Abstract

Increasing the reading interest of early childhood is a crucial aspect in the development of character and academic abilities. In TP. Melati C Desa Cireunghas, many children lack a strong reading interest, thus necessitating a reading training program to enhance their reading skills and interest. In the reading guidance training program at TP. Melati C Desa Cireunghas, the method of Participatory Action Research (PAR) can be used to increase early childhood reading interest more effectively. The community, including parents, teachers, and children, actively participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the reading training program. This allows them to understand the needs and challenges faced by children in improving their reading abilities. The outcomes of the reading training program include increased self-confidence and motivation among students to read more actively. Additionally, the program enhances children's reading skills and increases the school library's book collection. The program also focuses on support, motivation, lectures, and discussions. The reading guidance training program at TP. Melati C Desa Cireunghas has successfully increased the reading interest and abilities of early childhood children. With an effective community service method, this program can serve as a good example for other schools to enhance children's academic abilities.

Abstract

The craft art training for kindergarten teachers in the PAUD Pelangi Cluster, Southeast Pontianak, aimed to enhance teachers’ understanding and skills in integrating craft art into early childhood learning, in line with the Merdeka Curriculum which emphasizes creative and innovative learning. The main issue addressed was the lack of teacher knowledge and skills in teaching craft art, which hindered the optimal development of children's creativity and self-expression. The training was conducted through several phases: preparation, material delivery, hands-on practice, field mentoring, and evaluation. The first day focused on theoretical foundations of craft art; the second day emphasized practical activities using materials such as clay, natural elements, and recycled items, including simulation with teachers acting as learning facilitators. Teachers demonstrated high enthusiasm through active participation and the quality of their art products. Evaluation using observation and satisfaction questionnaires indicated significant improvement in participants' competencies. The training effectively enhanced both theoretical understanding and practical skills, empowering teachers to design engaging, creative, and relevant learning experiences. Support from schools and parents in providing materials also contributed positively to the successful implementation of craft art in classrooms. This activity highlights the importance of continuous training and collaboration among teachers, parents, and schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service program is to improve early literacy skills among children in Desa Ajee Pagar Air by implementing a reading corner (pojok baca). The background of this service lies in the low literacy rates among children in rural areas, which can be addressed by providing accessible resources and creating a conducive environment for reading. The service method used in this program is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involves the active participation of the community in the planning and implementation process. The results show significant improvement in children's interest in reading and a positive shift in their literacy levels. The program contributed to fostering a culture of reading and learning, which will be sustained through continuous community involvement. In conclusion, the establishment of a reading corner in Desa Ajee Pagar Air has been successful in enhancing early literacy and promoting educational development in the community.

Abstract

This community service is motivated by the results of observations that show that positive discipline in early childhood is very low in Rizqy Private Kindergarten, Hamparan Perak District. The problem is the unfair treatment of teachers in providing learning to early childhood, which has an impact on low positive discipline. The solution to this problem is to provide interesting methods and media through free play that is related to the independent curriculum, which frees early childhood to express themselves to bring out the interests and talents of each child. The purpose of the media strategy provided is to be able to increase positive discipline in early childhood. The method used in this community service is counseling by providing material exposure to teachers and parents. This method is known to have many positive impacts on the growth and development of early childhood. With various positive discipline strategies provided, it is hoped that it can increase positive discipline in early childhood at Rizqy Private Kindergarten, Klambir V Village, Hamparan Perak District. The result of this community service is the implementation of a character development program to increase positive discipline in early childhood.

Abstract

The International Community Service program aimed to empower early childhood education by training kindergarten teachers at Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL), Malaysia, to design board games that enhance self-care skills in young children. This program utilized a participatory action research (PAR) approach, engaging 20 teachers through workshops and mentoring sessions. The results revealed a significant improvement in the teachers' ability to create interactive and engaging learning activities, with self-care concepts successfully integrated into the board games. The games were well-received by students, enhancing their motivation and engagement in practicing self-care routines. These findings emphasize the effectiveness of game-based learning in teaching essential life skills. It is recommended to continue the training sessions and expand collaboration with other educational institutions to ensure lasting impact

Abstract

This community service activity was driven by the need to foster spiritual values and independence among children at the Sumber Baru TPA as a foundation for early character development. The Islamic Supercamp program was designed to instill Islamic values, nationalism, and togetherness through engaging and participatory approaches. The method consisted of three stages: planning in collaboration with PRM, PRA, and local community leaders; implementation of activities such as moral storytelling, group exercises, art performances, evening gatherings, and traditional games involving the community; and evaluation through direct observation of children’s involvement and behavioral changes. The results showed improvements in spiritual awareness, independence, and social solidarity among the participants. The program also produced outputs such as documentation, publications, certificates, and medals. Moving forward, this initiative will be followed up with routine spiritual guidance and a continuous evaluation system to ensure sustainable positive impacts on the community.

Abstract

Literacy activities, especially reading, are still not yet part of the culture in the Pakel Village community, Andong District, Boyolali Regency. It is necessary to build productive and effective habits to improve this starting from childhood. The school environment at the elementary education level, namely Raudhatul Atfhal and Kindergarten, is one way to cultivate literacy through the reading corner program. Through community service activities, it is hoped that schools will be able to increase literacy rates from an early age in a fun way. In addition, schools are able to manage Human Resources, Infrastructure, the environment and funding to manage the reading corner optimally and professionally. Management of the reading corner is a short activity through training, programmed and sustainable by means of mentoring the management of the reading corner by Field Lecturers and students. The main findings of this program include three aspects of social transformation. First, from an institutional perspective, the Village Literacy Committee was formed as a new institution that manages the sustainability of the program. Second, from a behavioral perspective, there was an increase in the frequency of children's reading and changes in parenting patterns in accompanying literacy activities. Third, from a leadership perspective, five local champions emerged from among teachers and housewives.
