Abstract

Pasirtanjung Village residents tend to have a positive attitude towards getting married at a very young age. However, being at a young age is often accompanied by a low level of education, minimal income, and emotional immaturity, making it vulnerable to triggering conflict in marriage. Therefore, this community service program aims to provide psychoeducation to create healthy, happy relationships to minimize negative impacts on individuals, couples, and families. The main target of this program is unmarried adolescent girls aged 13-19 years. The implementation method refers to the results of the Healthy Relationship Series program, which explains that the psychoeducation program related to healthy romantic relationships has an impact on participants' in-depth understanding, especially regarding setting boundaries, communication, conflict resolution, as well as discussing additional issues such as mental health and gender-based violence. Based on the pre-test and post-test evaluation results, the average post-test score increases, concluding that the psychoeducation carried out effectively provides understanding regarding healthy, happy relationships.

Abstract

The vast shifting of generations became a major adaptation that teachers need to face. The new generation with different characteristics due to environmental influence would challenge the teacher to upgrade their competition to the limit. Therefore, the teacher had to enhance their knowledge and competition in education implementation. This training for teachers is provided using interactive seminars, FGD, and practical methods. All processes were held for two days with different themes but related to each other. Participants showed very high enthusiasm during the activity and shared their own experiences from class. This showed that participants were motivated to find out more about material and cases in their school environment which can be a benchmark for the success of program implementation. This training was the initial activity of the early stages of education and would require a follow-up plan to reduce the realization of activities that can be carried out directly in class with students.

Abstract

There are many changes in human life after arrival of Covid-19 pandemic. One of them is change in education process. Education, which was easily accessible, is more increasingly limited over the pandemic, with face-to-face activities moving online. Students also experience limitations in interacting with others to access educational information and undergo psychological changes. This exacerbates the issue where many students in Indonesia are confused about choosing their majors and future careers. When these students eventually enrol in higher education, they are at risk of choosing the wrong major and career mismatching which impacts their future career development. Therefore, the program team conduct online psychosocial education to help students recognize themselves, choose the right majors, and overcome obstacles related to major selection. There are 137 students from various regions in Indonesia participating in the online program via Zoom Meeting Cloud. Participants find the program beneficial and recommend its continuation. Overall, participants are satisfied with the implementation of the program and hope for its sustainability.

Abstract

Pasirtanjung Village is one of the villages in Tanjungsari District, Bogor Regency. The high gap between job seekers and the availability of job opportunities which has an impact on the income they earn is one of the problems in this village. Meanwhile, income is one of the factors that has an impact on a person's readiness to live married life. In addition, people in this village still have the opinion that someone must get married immediately, without paying attention to the individual's readiness, especially in terms of physical and health. For this reason, the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Negeri Jakarta offers a solution by holding psychoeducation with the theme "Building Physical and Health Readiness Before Marriage". In this activity, people were given counseling, infographics and discussions to identify themselves and build readiness before getting married. The results obtained are that the people of Pasirtanjung Village are more aware of how to prepare themselves before getting married. Abstract

Education is a place for producing students who are intelligent, disciplined, independent, and of high quality. Schools should be safe and comfortable places for learning; however, recently they have become environments where bullying cases are developing. SMP Methodist 1 has become one of the schools where bullying occurs. Bullying is a form of behavior that harms others who are perceived as weak, economically disadvantaged, or disabled. Bullying can be physical, such as hitting and other aggressive actions carried out individually or in groups. Verbal bullying is also common and includes mocking physical appearance, financial status, belittling peers or parents, using inappropriate language, and intimidation. Additionally, there is cyberbullying, which is conducted by individuals or groups through social media to ostracize others. Bullying has dangerous and long-lasting consequences, affecting physical, emotional, and mental health, including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and decreased academic performance. Based on this data, there is a need for effective measures to reduce bullying at SMP Methodist 1. One approach is to teach social skills. The social skills taught include empathy, communication, emotional regulation, and problem-solving. These social skills are expected to be beneficial in detecting and preventing bullying in the school.

Abstract

Social skills are essential for everyone to have. The cultivation and development of social skills are essential for children. From an early age, children need to be instilled and developed with social skills to face life in school and society well. The cultivation and development of social skills for children are crucial, considering the changing times that can make children lack social skills. For example, the rapid development of information technology, mobile phones, online games, and other communication media can make a person’s skills, especially children’s, less developed or even decline. Therefore, it is very important to develop social skills for children. Besides parents, teachers and facilitators at school also play a crucial role in developing children’s social skills. However, with this module-shaped instrument, guidance for teachers and facilitators to develop children’s social skills becomes crucial. In this community service, a pilot project will be carried out to guide teachers and facilitators to develop children’s social skills. Teachers and facilitators will dissect and provide input on the guide so that it can be used later according to its purpose to develop children’s social skills.
