Abstract

Motivated by the current low literacy of elementary school students, this research aims to analyze the literacy crisis in elementary school students in Indonesia through the systematic literature review (SLR) method by collecting data from previous research results within the last eight years related to low literacy, elementary school literacy, and literacy crisis. The search for research articles uses publish or perish application with the google scholar database and is carried out with three SLR stages starting from planning, implementation, and reporting. The results of this study show that low literacy can be a literacy crisis in the younger generation. Therefore, the solution offered to overcome the literacy crisis in elementary schools starts with the Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS).

Abstract

The application of the parenting model is considered very important, especially in adolescent prosocial behavior, because the application of the right parenting model to children can provide a stimulus on how to properly form adolescent prosocial behavior which will affect the development of prosocial behavior in adulthood. The tendency of students to behave prosocially can occur from peers who make adolescents behave and behave in the same way as their peers, therefore interaction with peers can also be an encouragement in the development of prosocial behavior of adolescents. This study aims to describe the parenting model, and describe the interaction of peer friendship as well as describe the prosocial behavior of adolescents in class X of SMK Muhammadiyah 02 Pagak. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational descriptive research design. The results of this study are (a) the parenting model of class X of SMK Muhammadiyah 02 Pagak is included in the good category: (b) the interaction of adolescent friendship in class X of SMK Muhammadiyah 02 Pagak is included in the good category: (c) the prosocial behavior of adolescents in class X of SMK Muhammadiyah 02 Pagak is included in the category of quite good: and (d) there is a sufficient influence between the parenting model and peer friendship interaction on the prosocial behavior of adolescents in class X of SMK Muhammadiyah 02 Pagak.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the importance of public image for schools in the era of globalization. A positive school image not only attracts the interest of prospective new students, but also increases community support and strengthens the school's existence in the midst of increasingly fierce competition. This study found that administrative and public relations personnel have a crucial role in shaping the school's image. Administrative personnel are the vanguard of interaction with the community, while public relations functions as a bridge between the school and the community. Both play an important role in building positive relationships and managing public perception of schools. A positive school image can be built through various strategies, such as improving the performance of all school components, establishing cooperation with various parties, improving services, and highlighting achievements. In addition, transparency in school management, as well as creating a conducive physical and learning environment are also important factors. This study concludes that public image is a long-term investment that provides significant benefits for schools.

Abstract

The research was aimed to examine: (1) the influence of the effectiveness of school principal leadership on teacher performance, (2) the influence of the effectiveness of school principal leadership on teacher performance, and (3) the simultaneous effects of the effectiveness of school principal leadership and teacher commitment on teacher performance in Islamic high schools across Malang City. The research employs a descriptive quantitative design utilizing a correlational approach. Data collection is conducted through questionnaires, and the collected data are analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. Results of the study indicate (1) a significant influence of the effectiveness of school principal leadership on teacher performance; (2) a significant influence of teacher commitment on teacher performance; and (3) a significant simultaneous effects of the effectiveness of school principal leadership and teacher commitment on teacher performance. Abstract

AbstractThis article discusses effective tactics in educational supervision management aimed at improving teacher performance. The main objective is to identify methods that educational administrators can use to organize and implement effective supervision, as well as measure its impact on teacher performance. The methods used include literature searches to identify best practices in educational supervision management, as well as case studies to evaluate the implementation of certain tactics. The research results show that the use of certain tactics in educational supervision management can significantly improve teacher performance. Some of the effective tactics identified include the development of a clear and structured supervision framework, strong collaboration between administrators and teachers, providing constructive feedback, and the use of technology in the supervision process. In addition, the success of these tactics also depends on the strong commitment of all relevant parties, including administrators, teachers, and students.Keywords: Education Management; Supervision Management; Teacher PerformanceAbstrakArtikel ini membahas taktik efektif dalam manajemen supervisi pendidikan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru. Tujuan utama adalah untuk mengidentifikasi metode yang dapat digunakan oleh para administrator pendidikan untuk menyusun dan melaksanakan supervisi yang efektif, serta mengukur dampaknya terhadap kinerja guru. Metode yang digunakan meliputi penelusuran literatur untuk mengidentifikasi praktik terbaik dalam manajemen supervisi pendidikan, serta studi kasus untuk mengevaluasi implementasi taktik tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan taktik tertentu dalam manajemen supervisi pendidikan dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan kinerja guru. Beberapa taktik efektif yang diidentifikasi termasuk pengembangan kerangka supervisi yang jelas dan terstruktur, kolaborasi yang kuat antara administrator dan guru, pemberian umpan balik yang konstruktif, serta penggunaan teknologi dalam proses supervisi. Selain itu, keberhasilan taktik tersebut juga bergantung pada komitmen yang kuat dari semua pihak terkait, termasuk administrator, guru, dan siswa.Kata kunci: Manajemen Pendidikan; Manajemen supervisi; Kinerja Guru

Abstract

Verbal bullying is an openly degrading act in the form of unkind calls, taunts and words of a sexual nature that occurs to both boys and girls which is often not realized and occurs because there is no adult supervision. The aim of this research is to find out whether verbal bullying behavior has a relationship with students' learning motivation at SMPN 1 Pakis or not. The method used is a quantitative research design with correlational analytics using Pearson Correlation with random sampling techniques. Based on the results of the Pearson Correlation test between the variables verbal bullying and learning motivation, a significance value (p) = 0.477 (p>0.05) was obtained, which means the hypothesis is not accepted. The correlation coefficient value is 0.076, which means there is no relationship between the verbal bullying variable and learning motivation, which means the hypothesis is not accepted.

Abstract

The general purpose of this study is to describe improving teacher performance management. The specific purpose is to describe: 1) teacher performance management planning, 2) teacher performance improvement management, 3) monitoring and evaluation of teacher performance management management and 4) problems found in teacher performance management management. The research method is qualitative descriptive and the data collection techniques are interviews, observations, and documentation. The subjects of the study are school principals and teachers. The results of the study show that planning, monitoring and evaluation of management in teacher performance runs effectively. However, based on the implementation of its management in improving teacher performance management, several problems were found, namely external problems and internal problems.

Abstract

Science learning in schools is synonymous with students' learning process skills, which include critical thinking and reasoning, as well as cooperation and respect for the opinions of others. The selection of learning media is necessary to meet the learning needs of students by providing meaningful learning experiences. The purpose of this research and development is to develop PAMUDI media "Puzzle Dua Sisi" supported by index card match on the material form of objects and changes in the form of objects to strengthen cooperation in grade IV students that are valid, practical and interesting. The findings show that science learning at SDN Pohkecik and SDN Sumberkarang is done in a monotonous pattern, resulting in less interaction among students, and boredom appears in students. Therefore, media is needed to make the learning process more varied. The research method used is the ADDIE method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and distribution of questionnaires. The results obtained from the research and development of PAMUDI media in the form of a validity test of 91.65% with a very valid category, a practicality test of 100% with a very practical category, and user attractiveness of 96.9% with a very attractive category, as well as the ability of the media to strengthen the character of cooperation 95.45% with a category very capable of strengthening the character of student cooperation.

Abstract

Enthusiasm is an attitude of students characterized by great eagerness or interest, as well as active participation in learning. This study aims to understand the enthusiasm of students at SMAN 2 Batu in preparing for state university entrance exams. The selection process for university admission requires readiness to help students achieve their desired university. This study explores various factors contributing to student motivation and examines how these elements affect their academic performance and preparedness for exams. Using a combination of surveys and interviews, data was collected from a representative sample of students. The results indicate that personal ambition, family encouragement, and access to quality educational resources are key determinants of student enthusiasm. Furthermore, the study found that social interactions and participation in school activities significantly enhance students' commitment to their studies. This research concludes that fostering a supportive and resource-rich learning environment is crucial to maximizing student enthusiasm and success in entrance exams. These findings provide valuable insights for educators and administrators in developing strategies to support student engagement and achievement. Abstract

Bullying or harassment was a negative behavior involving the abuse of power or authority by individuals or groups with the aim of hurting others, which could lead to trauma. The aim of this research was to develop a reporting application called Student Helpcare to help reduce cases of bullying and harassment at the elementary school. This type of research was research and development (R&D) using the Borg and Gall development model, which consisted of ten stages including: information gathering and preliminary research; planning; initial product draft development; internal testing; revision; small-scale testing; revision; large-scale testing; final product revision; and dissemination. The instruments used were questionnaires, including product validation questionnaires given to media and language experts, practicality and effectiveness questionnaires given to teachers and students, and interview instruments given to the school principal, teachers, and students. The data collection stages in this research included questionnaires, interviews, and documentation as supporting evidence. The results of the study explained that the developed application product met valid, practical, and effective criteria. This application product received a validity score from media experts of 4.93, categorized as very valid, and from language experts, a score of 4.54, also categorized as very valid. The practicality score of the product from teachers received an average of 4.65, categorized as very practical, and the practicality score from students received an average of 94.2%, also categorized as very practical. The effectiveness of the product received an average score from teachers of 4.45, and from students an average score of 93.4%, indicating that the product developed was effective in reporting and receiving reports related to bullying or harassment in elementary schools.
