Abstract

Learning models have a role in facilitating the process of transferring knowledge carried out by teachers to students. This study applies the direct instruction learning model with the aim of improving dribble skills in basketball learning. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pseudo-experimental method. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling involving 115 students at junior high school level 1. The results showed that the direct instruction learning model was effectively applied to basketball dribble learning. The increase in the experimental group occurred by 48.90% for the skill variable, and 25.30% for the assessment variable. These results indicate that the direct instruction learning model is better than the conventional learning model. On the other hand, the direct instruction learning model has the possibility of ineffectiveness if applied to other learning and other levels of education.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of fertilization based on nutrient requirements and production targets of green mustard (Brassica juncea. L) in a hydroponic system. The study involved varying fertilizer dosages and integrating them into the hydroponic system to assess the growth and production of mustard plants. The results showed that increasing fertilizer dosages in line with production targets could enhance plant growth, such as plant height, leaf count, and leaf width, as well as plant production in terms of wet and dry weights. Integrating fertilizer dosages with the hydroponic system also demonstrated increased effectiveness of fertilization on the growth and production of mustard plants. The interaction between increasing fertilizer dosages and the hydroponic system also positively impacted mustard plant production. The role of the hydroponic system in improving the efficiency of complete fertilizer application in mustard cultivation was evidenced by an increase in production yields of up to 24 tons/ha. These findings indicate that adjusting fertilizer dosages to match plant nutrient requirements and integrating them with a hydroponic system can enhance the growth and production of green mustard plants under hydroponic conditions.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education is an entrepreneur's effort to have a foundation in entrepreneurship. With entrepreneurial education, an entrepreneur can effectively solve business problems with solutions. This research aims to reveal the role of entrepreneurship education in ethnic Chinese family business succession. The research method was a systematic literature review (SLR) with 576 articles from the Scopus, Emerald, and Sage databases. Then, the articles were identified by inclusion and exclusion with a final number of 2 articles. The research results show that Chinese ethnicity provides opportunities for all their children to continue the family business because all children, both girls and boys, have the same rights in owning the family business. Preparing a successor to an ethnic Chinese family business starts with family entrepreneurship education, guiding potential successors, viting potential candidates to know more about the family business, and involving potential successors in their business activities. The limitation of this research is the lack of articles related to ethnic Chinese family businesses.

Abstract

The construction of identity and social movements in the era of regional autonomy has a considerable influence on the regulations that exist in each region to administer their respective regions. Regional autonomy has brought several changes and progress to each region in improving prosperity. It is hoped that the implementation of autonomous regional government through direct regional head elections will provide opportunities for regions to channel their aspirations more freely. Regional Head Elections are suspected or assumed to be related to the rise of local culture or community in the form of identity politics. Identity politics is a tool of political struggle for an ethnic group to achieve certain goals. The phenomenon of a social movement of relative deprivation carried out in connection with the cancellation or postponement of regional head elections is the result of aspirations that have not been realized.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the relationship between language policy and national identity formation through a macro-linguistic lens. By employing qualitative case study methodology, the study analyzes the language policies of Canada, Belgium, and India, examining their impacts on social cohesion, cultural identity, and political stability. The research investigates specific language policies, such as bilingualism in Canada, collaborative language programs in Belgium, and multilingual education in India, assessing their effects on various communities within these nations. The findings indicate that inclusive language policies significantly enhance social cohesion and foster national pride, while exclusive policies can lead to division and marginalization. In Canada, continued support for bilingual education strengthens ties between linguistic groups. In Belgium, fostering mutual respect among linguistic communities mitigates political tensions. In India, promoting multilingual education protecs regional languages and cultivates a sense of unity. By focusing on the interplay between language and identity, this study highlights the critical importance of inclusive language policies in fostering social harmony and national unity. Ultimately, the findings provide actionable insights for policymakers, emphasizing the need for frameworks that recognize linguistic diversity while promoting dialogue and integration among different language communities. This research contributes to the understanding of effective strategies for strengthening national identity in an increasingly globalized world, reinforcing the idea that language can serve as a bridge rather than a barrier.
