Abstract

This research analyzes the denotation, connotation, and myth present in GoJek advertisements through the lens of Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. Employing a qualitative descriptive methodology, the study interprets the imagery within the GoJek advertisement video. The analysis adheres to the data flow model by Miles and Huberman (1994), which encompasses data reduction, display, and conclusion formulation. The results indicate that the thumb serves as a central symbol in the GoJek advertisements. On a denotative level, it signifies physical actions like using a smartphone, wiping tears, counting money, and utilizing the GoJek application. On a connotative level, the thumb is linked to themes of empowerment, efficiency, social connectivity, and resilience. The research further uncovers various myths associated with the thumb symbol, including narratives about modernity, progress, individual potential, and the impact of small actions on communal well-being. By utilizing Barthes’ semiotic framework, this study emphasizes how GoJek advertisements leverage visual signs to convey persuasive messages that resonate with the intended audience within their cultural and social context.

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency on Jalan Marendal Pasar 6 Harjo Sari often becomes a problem that disturbs local residents so that local residents are very wary of crimes committed by local teenagers, one of the crimes being theft at people's homes and so on. This research aims to obtain information related to juvenile delinquency that occurs in the Marendal Pasar 6 area, and understand the causes, impacts, and efforts that have been made by the community or the authorities in dealing with this problem. The research method used is a qualitative approach by collecting information through interviews, observation and literature study. The results of this research show that juvenile delinquency in Marendal Pasar 6 is still a quite serious problem. The main influencing factors are lack of family supervision, bad relationships, and lack of positive activities for teenagers. Although there have been several efforts to address this problem, better cooperation between families, communities and authorities is needed to create an environment that is more conducive to adolescent development.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kepuasan mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Palangka Raya terhadap Website Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) FEB UPR dengan menggunakan metode distribusi proporsi. Metode ini memungkinkan peneliti untuk mengukur tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa bervariasi, dengan sejumlah aspek yang mendapatkan penilaian positif serta beberapa area yang membutuhkan perbaikan. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan masukan yang berharga bagi pengelola SIAKAD FEB UPR dalam meningkatkan pelayanan dan optimalisasi penggunaan website. Penelitian ini juga menyarankan perlunya penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mendalami aspek-aspek yang mempengaruhi kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap layanan yang disediakan

Abstract

Gunung Merapi merupakan gunung berapi paling aktif yang terletak di provinsi jawa tengah indonesia yang mana lebih tepatnya berada di perbatasan antara Kabupaten Seleman, Kabupaten Magelang, Kabupaten Boyolali, Kabupaten Kelaten, Atau antara Provinsi Jawa Tengah dan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Gunung ini memiliki ketinggian ±2.968 mdpl, Gunung merapi beberapa kali mengalami letusan dan yang paling parahnya terjadi dalam kurun waktu 100 tahun terakhir yaitu pada tahun 2010, Atas kejadian ini sedikitnya menewaskan 353 jiwa termasuk kuncen dari gunung merapi tersebut yaitu mbah Maridjan dan lebih dari 300.000 orang mengungsi. Letusan gunung merapi tentunya sangat berdampak bagi masyarakat sekitar, utamanya berdampak pada lingkungan, sosial, kesehatan, ekonomi dan juga material yang dialami warga sekitar gunung merapi. Dalam hal analisis manajemen risiko bencana yang ditimbulkan oleh gunung merapi dan bagaimana pemerintah pusat dan daerah melakukan mitigasi dan meminimalisir terjadinya kerusakan dan dampak yang sangat buruk kembali terjadi yang di timbulkan akibat letusan atau erupsi dari gunung merapi dengan metode literatur review bersifat deskriptif, Gunung Merapi Sampai saat ini masih seringkali menunjukan keaktifannya serta terakhir kali erupsi pada 1 januari 2024 menyemburkan abu vulkanik dan juga awan panas yang tersebar ke beberapa wilayah di sekitarnya

Abstract

Cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity is both a wealth and a challenge for the Indonesian nation. In this context, multicultural Islamic education offers a strategic solution to build social integration in a pluralistic society. This study aims to explore the implementation of multicultural Islamic education in supporting social integration, identify relevant values ​​such as tolerance, peace, and respect for diversity, and examine the challenges in its implementation. The method used is a literature review with a descriptive-analytical approach to the latest academic literature. The results of the study indicate that multicultural Islamic education is able to create social harmony through the integration of universal values ​​in the curriculum, cross-cultural dialogue, and strengthening tolerance. However, challenges such as low teacher competence and cultural resistance are still obstacles. This study contributes to formulating an effective implementation strategy for multicultural Islamic education to create an inclusive and just society.

Abstract

This article discusses the application of game theory in online transportation, focusing on public transportation management, traffic congestion, and passenger behavior. The study highlights how game theory can optimize decision-making among stakeholders, analyze competitive strategies among service providers, and improve traffic management. A literature review method is used to collect data from various sources, revealing insights into dynamic pricing strategies, user decision-making, and the impact of regulation on service providers. The study concludes that game theory is essential to understanding interactions in online transportation, while emphasizing the need for further research into the social impacts of these strategies and the evolving regulatory landscape.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial performance and Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on firm value with capital structure and dividend policy as moderating variables. The research employs a quantitative descriptive method using secondary data from annual financial reports of textile companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019-2023. Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling method. Data analysis was performed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS. The results show that financial performance, GCG, capital structure, and dividend policy have no significant effect on firm value. Capital structure and dividend policy as moderating variables also do not prove to moderate the relationship between financial performance and GCG on firm value. These findings indicate the possibility of other factors having more influence on firm value that are not covered in this study.

Abstract

This study explores the semiotics of public signs using Ferdinand de Saussure's theory, focusing on the relationship between signifiers (visual and verbal elements) and their signified meanings. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, the research analyzes 15 visual signs, such as traffic indicators, warning symbols, and informational signage, alongside 9 verbal signs, including textual instructions and prohibitions, observed in urban environments. The findings reveal that visual signs, including colors, symbols, and imagery, effectively convey universal messages, while verbal signs enhance clarity and context, making communication accessible to diverse audiences. Together, these components ensure the messages are accessible to diverse audiences, enhancing communication, safety, and inclusivity in public spaces.

Abstract

Salah satu layanan kesehatan masyarakat yang tidak bisa dilepaskan dari kemajuan teknologi informasi adalah klinik. Klinik HDT merupakan salah satu klinik terdekat di Duta Harapan, Bekasi; itu juga terkenal dan memiliki basis pasien yang besar. Namun Klinik HDT masih mengolah data secara manual sehingga menyulitkan perolehan informasi mengenai klinik, termasuk jadwal dokter dan biodata. Hasil penelitian ini adalah tata kelola IT yang efektif merupakan kunci untuk meningkatkan kinerja klinik HDT. Dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi yang tepat, klinik gigi dapat meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, memperbaiki pelayanan kepada pasien, dan mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang lebih baik. Jurnal ini membahas perancangan tata kelola IT di klinik HDT serta dampaknya terhadap kinerja klinik.

Abstract

To improve hospital service efficiency, this article analyzes and develops queue system modeling. The study uses the M/M/1 model to evaluate utilization ratios, waiting times, and discrete event simulation to predict the impact of service capacity changes. Data were collected through direct observation at the pharmacy, specialist clinics, and emergency department (ED), as well as patient satisfaction surveys conducted before and after the intervention. Results show that adjusting service capacity can reduce waiting times in the ED by up to 50% and increase patient satisfaction across all units by 30%. The conclusion is that queue system modeling based on empirical data can enhance operational efficiency and the quality of services provided by the hospital.
