Abstract

This study aims to examine the forms of community participation and local empowerment in the development of the Mawun Beach tourism area, Central Lombok Regency. The research focuses on three key aspects: tourism development, community participation, and local empowerment in creating inclusive and sustainable tourism. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing primary and secondary data collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using tourism development theory based on five indicators: attractions, transportation, accommodation, service facilities, and infrastructure. Additionally, the study applied community participation theory comprising seven typologies (manipulative, passive, consultation, material incentive, functional, interactive, and self-mobilization) and community empowerment theory with six dimensions (authority, competence, trust, opportunity, responsibility, and support). Findings indicate significant progress in attractions and local culture, while transportation and infrastructure remain limited. Community involvement reflects five participation forms, dominated by a top-down approach. Empowerment efforts have emerged through Pokdarwis and local groups, enhancing capacity and collective responsibility toward sustainable community-based tourism development. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the readiness of SMK Negeri 2 Jiwan in applying differentiated learning based on VAK (Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic) learning styles in accounting subject. The method used for this research is qualitative descriptive, with data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and documentation. Informants consisted of the principal, vice principals of curriculum and school infrastructure, accounting teachers of grades X-XII, and students of various levels. The results showed that the school had demonstrated initial commitment through the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum and encouragement of learning innovations. Teachers understood the concept of differentiation, but its application was still limited and not equipped with a systematic mapping of students' learning styles. Teaching tools and learning media available did not fully support the VAK learning style, and practice facilities were inadequate. The school environment was considered to be quite supportive, though further teacher training, provision of interactive learning media, and continued assistance are still needed. In general, the school's readiness is at an early stage, and requires improvement in the aspect of implementation strategies. Aspects of readiness include teachers' understanding, curriculum, infrastructure, and learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation of toxic positivity in the Clash of Champions broadcast on the Ruangguru YouTube Channel (Case Study at SMA Negeri 1 Tumijajar). The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation with students at SMA Negeri 1 Tumijajar. The data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results show a representation of toxic positivity. According to students of SMA Negeri 1 Tumijajar, the message that appears in the Clash of Champions broadcast on the Ruangguru YouTube channel is manifested through a narrative that emphasizes the importance of always thinking positively, not giving up, and continuing to fight without a balanced depiction of emotional realities such as sadness, failure, or fatigue. The broadcast tends to simplify the process of achieving success, as if it only requires passion and motivation, without considering social, psychological, or economic obstacles. The meaning contained behind the narrative and visuals of the broadcast Clash of Champions represents toxic positivity in the form of pressure to always appear strong, cheerful, and never give up under any circumstances. According to some students, these messages can be uplifting, but can also be burdensome when under pressure, because they feel they are not allowed to show vulnerability or failure. The consistent visuals of success and happiness reinforce the construct that negative emotions are a form of weakness that must be avoided. The responses of students at SMA Negeri 1 Tumijajar to the representation of toxic positivity in the Clash of Champions show varied. Some students accepted the motivational messages as constructive (dominant-hegemonic), others interpreted them critically (negotiated), and still others felt the messages actually created emotional pressure (oppositional)

Abstract

The implementation of the ten-year remission at Gunung Sugih Penitentiary (Lapas) is based on Presidential Decree Number 174 of 1999 concerning Remission. The main focus of this research is on the suitability of the implementation of remission with the principles of justice, particularly the principle of equality before the law . This research aims to identify factors that hinder the implementation of the ten-year remission and evaluate the extent to which the granting process reflects the principles of justice and legal certainty. The researcher used a normative and empirical juridical approach with a descriptive analytical method. The normative juridical approach aims to examine the legal provisions governing remission, while the empirical approach is used to collect data through observation and field studies at Gunung Sugih Penitentiary. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of the ten-year remission has followed procedures in accordance with statutory regulations. Inmates who meet the administrative and substantive requirements are entitled to remission as a form of appreciation for participation in the development program. This process aims to support social rehabilitation and reduce prison sentences. However, implementation in the field still faces obstacles such as limited human resources, a suboptimal inmate data system, and external pressures that affect the objectivity of remission grants. Researchers recommend that prisons improve the quality of human resources, strengthen inmate information and data management systems, and conduct regular evaluations of remission implementation. Continuous outreach to the community is necessary to ensure that remissions are understood as part of the correctional system, not as a disregard for legal justice.

Abstract

This article will describe the various forms of the election oversight system in Indonesia, starting from the Old Order era to reform (from Panwaslak to Bawaslu; from Pilkada not simultaneously and concurrently). However, there are various kinds of problems in the supervision of elections in Indonesia, including manipulation of nomination requirements, invalidity of voter data, money politics in campaigns, abuse of authority and intervention of power structures, as well as inflating the results of vote acquisition as a common phenomenon in almost every election implementation, which involves election organizers, election participants and/or the public as voters. Thus, the existence of election supervisors in political and administrative law reviews is important to avoid delegitimizing the election process and results, as well as anticipating the development of various acts of election violations, in order to strengthen public confidence in various problems in the electoral system. The existence of strong election supervisors is inseparable from the importance of oversight mechanisms for the realization of quality elections 5

Abstract

Presidential Threshold concept reduces the rights of everyone to get equal opportunities in government. Constitutional Court Decision Constitutional Court Decision Number 14/PUUXI/2013 which decided that the Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections were held simultaneously with the Elections of the People's Representative Council or known as simultaneous elections. The regulation of the presidential nomination threshold (Presidential Threshold) is essentially an open legal policy. The source of attribution authority in the constitution, especially in Article 6A paragraph (2) and Article 22E paragraph (6) of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia as a higher legal norm, does not regulate or provide restrictions for anyone who wants to nominate themselves as a candidate for President and Vice President. The existence of a threshold for political parties to have the right to nominate presidential and vice-presidential candidate pairs has legal implications, including violating the 1945 Constitution concerning the Presidential System, contradicting Article 6A paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution, the inconsistency of the Constitutional Court in Decision Number 14/PUU-XI/2013 and violating the rights of citizens in the 1945 Constitution.

Abstract

Scientific work is a writing or research conducted as part of the academic tasks of academicians, including students. In the process of writing this scientific work, there is an unavoidable risk of plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional. Writing quality scientific work requires the ability to select and compile a bibliography used as a reference, as well as skills in making accurate citations. Initial studies found that scientific work in the form of Final Projects and Theses produced by students of the Business Administration Department of Semarang State Polytechnic could not be said to be quality scientific work. The concept of a Flipbook-based Mendeley guidebook that the research team adopted in this study was considered to make it easier and more interesting for readers to use the book. The results of the study showed the highest increase of 49.1%, which indicates that the effectiveness of this guidebook has been proven to help students in implementing technical steps for writing citations that have an impact on improving the quality of scientific work.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the design, internalization, conformity values, and community involvement in National Defense Education and Training in Makassar City, particularly among street communities. Using a qualitative approach, this study involved street children (parking attendants, pa'ogah, and buskers) with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation through Focus Group Discussions (FGD). The results show that effective training design must be inclusive and contextual to foster positive conformity, not coercion. The internalization of national defense values is successful through equal interaction, where respondents' self-efficacy and motivation increase when they feel valued. The conformity that is formed is pro-social, manifested in concrete actions such as mutual cooperation and social awareness, born out of consciousness, not obedience. Finally, the active involvement of all levels of society is the key to the success of the program, fostering a sense of collective responsibility and ownership. This study concludes that the internalization of national defense is effective when it is participatory and relevant to social reality
