Abstract

The application of risk management in the education sector is a crucial strategy for improving quality and competitiveness in the era of globalization. The global era brings new challenges in the form of rapid technological change, ever-evolving competency demands, and increasingly fierce international competition. This paper reviews how risk management is applied in educational institutions to identify, evaluate, and control various potential risks that can hinder the achievement of educational quality. By using a structured approach to managing risks such as curriculum implementation delays, failure of learning technology devices, and resource mismatches, educational institutions can improve the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process and the quality of graduates. The implementation of appropriate risk management not only reduces negative impacts but also opens up opportunities for innovation and adjustments needed to meet global demands. Therefore, strengthening risk management is a key factor in maintaining the continuity of quality and relevance of education amidst global competition. This study presents basic concepts along with practical steps in implementing risk management in the world of modern education.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of a learning community, encompassing the stages of forming, storming, norming, and performing, and its impact on teacher professionalism, encompassing pedagogical, personality, social, and professional competencies. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design and triangulated data from interviews, observations, and document studies. The results indicate that the implementation of a learning community improved teacher professionalism. Teachers were able to collaborate effectively, adapt to the ecological environment of wetlands, and demonstrate innovation in developing learning. Overall, the learning community was effective as a platform for enhancing teacher professionalism.

Abstract

Quality education is one of the keys to developing superior human resources. One of the key elements in the education system is the quality of teachers and the role of the principal. Effective supervision management proves to be one of the roles that influence the quality of learning and teacher professionalism. This study aims to explore the collaborative supervision management of the principal towards teacher professionalism at SDN SN Sungai Miai 5 Banjarmasin. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with a case study design. Data were collected through technical triangulation, including interviews, observation, and documentation. The unit of analysis of the study is the supervision management process using a collaborative model towards teacher professionalism. The results show that the principal applies a collaborative supervision management model by involving teachers in every activity, building two-way communication, and encouraging deliberation in joint decision-making. Four themes were identified: (1) Supervisory Management (POAC), (2) Collaborative Model, (3) Impact, (4) Evaluation. This study concludes that collaborative supervision management is effective towards teacher professionalism and building a good school culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas strategi manajemen risiko untuk menghadapi ancaman finansial dan reputasi pada lembaga pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi isu-isu utama yang memengaruhi keberlanjutan lembaga, seperti ketidakstabilan anggaran, ketergantungan pendanaan, dan penurunan kepercayaan publik. Dengan metode kajian literatur kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis karya akademik, dokumen kebijakan, dan studi kasus untuk merumuskan praktik terbaik dan kerangka strategi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa identifikasi risiko secara proaktif, tata kelola yang transparan, diversifikasi sumber pendanaan, serta keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan menjadi kunci dalam memitigasi risiko finansial dan reputasi. Integrasi budaya risiko dalam kebijakan lembaga juga meningkatkan ketahanan dan kredibilitas jangka panjang. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pendekatan manajemen risiko yang holistik dan adaptif penting untuk menjaga stabilitas operasional dan kepercayaan publik di tengah ketidakpastian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penerapan manajemen risiko di lembaga pendidikan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan keberlanjutan sekolah. Berdasarkan studi literatur terkini, penelitian ini membahas isu utama seperti ketidakpastian finansial, gangguan operasional, dan kepatuhan regulasi di lingkungan pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi strategi mitigasi risiko yang mendorong ketahanan institusi jangka panjang. Menggunakan pendekatan  tinjauan literatur, data disintesis dari studi sebelumnya tentang praktik manajemen risiko di konteks pendidikan Indonesia dan internasional. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa identifikasi risiko proaktif dan keterlibatan pemangku kepentingan secara signifikan meningkatkan pengambilan keputusan dan alokasi sumber daya, sehingga menghasilkan hasil pendidikan yang lebih baik. Hal ini berkontribusi pada praktik berkelanjutan dalam manajemen pendidikan.

Abstract

Efficient management of educational institutions is an important element for raising educational standards. However, various challenges can hinder these quality improvement efforts. This research aims to examine various challenges in the management of educational institutions and their impact on the quality of education. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach by collecting data through observation, in-depth interviews and document searches in several schools. The research results revealed five main risk categories: risks related to human resources, financial risks, facilities and infrastructure risks, risks related to management, and external risks. Findings suggest that more active risk management could reduce adverse impacts on educational quality. This research suggests developing an integrated risk management system in institutional management to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran manajemen kurikulum dalam mendukung penerapan deep learning di SMP Islam Terpadu At-Taqwa Surabaya. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan telaah dokumen, penelitian ini menelaah bagaimana proses POAC dijalankan untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manajemen kurikulum berperan strategis dalam memfasilitasi Project-Based Learning dan Problem-Based Learning melalui program Big Project. Guru berkolaborasi lintas mata pelajaran, siswa terlibat dalam pemecahan masalah nyata, dan teknologi diintegrasikan untuk memperkuat kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemandirian belajar. Iklim belajar yang positif serta kegiatan refleksi dan evaluasi turut meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran mendalam. Secara keseluruhan, manajemen kurikulum yang fleksibel dan dukungan teknologi berkontribusi signifikan terhadap pengembangan kompetensi abad ke-21 siswa.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on the modern education system. Although digitalization facilitates the learning process, students also face the risk of mental health disorders due to academic pressure, social media exposure, and technology dependence. This article aims to analyze risk mitigation strategies for maintaining student mental health in the digital era. The method used is a literature review from various academic sources and relevant government policies. The results of this study indicate that the roles of schools, parents, and students are crucial in creating a balance between technology use and psychological well-being. Effective mitigation strategies include digital literacy, strengthening social support, and increasing self-awareness. With the implementation of appropriate strategies, digitalization can be utilized positively without causing negative psychological impacts on students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perspective of SDN 17 Pakan Kurai on the benefits of organizational development in improving the quality of education. The research used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that organizational development has a positive impact on school management effectiveness, teacher job satisfaction, and the overall quality of learning. The study concludes that organizational development plays a key role in fostering adaptive, innovative, and quality-oriented educational institutions..

Abstract

The use of digital media in education has become a crucial requirement for improving the quality of learning in the technological era. Digital media encompasses various electronic-based platforms that help teachers deliver materials in a more innovative, interactive, and flexible manner. This study examines the benefits of digital media on student learning motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic, as well as the challenges that arise in its implementation in schools. The study results indicate that digital media can increase student interest in learning, independence, and understanding through the presentation of visual, audio, and gamified content. Furthermore, digital media supports collaborative and contextual learning in line with 21st-century characteristics. However, limited access to technology, low digital literacy, and the potential for distraction are obstacles that still need to be addressed. The changing role of teachers as facilitators also requires continuous improvement in technological competency. Thus, appropriate strategies are needed to optimally implement digital media to increase motivation and learning effectiveness.
