Abstract

This article presents a literature review on the issue of transparency in school public relations administration, especially in the management of diplomas in West Sumatra. Based on several references that have been reviewed, it was found that the manual method of diploma management and the lack of information system integration contributed to the low level of transparency. In addition, the role of public relations in conveying information to the public is considered suboptimal, which has implications for difficulties in monitoring and verifying data. This review aims to identify obstacles and provide recommendations for improvement to increase the accountability and efficiency of school public relations administration.

Abstract

The school library holds a crucial role in fostering students’ reading interest. Effective and innovative library management is essential in creating an environment that encourages reading habits. This study aims to explore various school library management strategies that can enhance students’ interest in reading. The research employs a literature review method by examining relevant sources such as academic journals, books, and research reports. Findings indicate that successful management strategies include providing engaging and relevant reading materials, arranging the library space to be comfortable and inspiring, integrating information technology into library services, and implementing creative literacy programs that actively involve students. Moreover, collaboration among librarians, teachers, and parents is vital in cultivating a reading culture within the school community. With the application of optimal library management strategies, students’ reading interest can significantly increase, ultimately contributing to the overall quality of education.

Abstract

A good and maximum archive management system will provide optimal information services in the school administration section. This study aims to analyze and analyze the archive management system in supporting information services in the school administration section. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a literature review design, involving collecting and analyzing various academic sources, such as journals and indexed articles from Google Scholar, Scopus, and SINTA as well as other relevant documents. Data were collected through library literature and journals that are relevant to the study. The results of the study indicate that the archive management system will have a very large impact on information services in the school administration section in carrying out education management.

Abstract

This study aims to explore educational innovation through the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum as an adaptive strategy to enhance 21st-century skills among Indonesian students. Employing a qualitative research method with a literature review approach, this research synthesizes a range of scholarly sources, including journal articles, research reports, and educational policy documents published within the last decade. The findings reveal that the Merdeka Curriculum emerges as a response to the urgent need for a more flexible, student-centered learning system that emphasizes the development of critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy. In the context of an increasingly dynamic global landscape, this curriculum provides educators with the space to innovate through differentiated instruction, projectbased learning, and the strengthening of students' character aligned with the Pancasila Student Profile. However, several implementation challenges persist, including teacher readiness, infrastructural disparities, and unequal access across regions. Therefore, continuous policy support and teacher capacity building are essential to fully realize the potential of the Merdeka Curriculum. This study offers conceptual insights for the development of future educational policies that are more responsive to the demands of the 21st century while remaining relevant to both local and global contexts.

Abstract

Character education serves as a vital component in shaping students who excel not only in academics but also possess commendable character and strong ethical values. The aim of this research is to examine the significance of character education in enhancing student learning quality, along with the involvement of teachers and parents in its execution. This research adopts a literature review approach, employing a qualitative descriptive analysis method grounded in expert perspectives. The findings reveal that character education plays a pivotal role in developing positive traits in students, including honesty, accountability, discipline, and integrity. The teacher’s function as a motivator and facilitator in the learning journey, and the parent’s function as the initial educators, heavily influence the effectiveness of character education. This research concludes that embedding character education must begin at an early stage through collaboration between the school and the family, enabling students to evolve into capable, resilient individuals who can thrive in the modern age.

Abstract

The management of School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds is a crucial aspect that supports the teaching and learning process in schools. BOS is designed to provide the necessary funds so that schools can meet basic operational needs to effectively and efficiently achieve national education goals. Before determining the financial management strategy for the school, there are certainly several issues that pose challenges in effectively managing BOS funds, among which the common problems include delays in the disbursement of BOS funds to the parties/fields that support learning, BOS funds that are distributed still do not meet the routine educational needs of the school, and the improper targeted use of BOS funds so that education in the school does not improve, as well as the lack of knowledge among stakeholders regarding the mechanisms for utilizing funds provided by the government, resulting in the suboptimal use of BOS funds which is often ineffective and inefficient in an educational institution. This research employs a literature review approach based on previous scholarly journals that focus on efforts to achieve financial efficiency and effectiveness in schools. Through this literature study approach, this research identifies general theories in effective BOS fund management strategies. The analysis results show that there are several effective strategies that can be used in the management of School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds from the government for schools, including: systematic planning of fund usage, improving the quality of teaching staff, increasing access to and quality of educational facilities, purchasing teaching materials and learning resources, developing the curriculum, and encouraging student and parental involvement. The strategy for managing School Operational Assistance (BOS) aims to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in school finances, thereby enhancing the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the application of a decision support system (DSS) using the MOORA method in the context of employee recruitment. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, the focus of this research was to understand more about the experience of the users, their perceptions of fairness in the selection process, as well as the impact of the system implementation on decision-making. To achieve this objective, semi-structured interviews were conducted with key users of the to explore MOORA's effectiveness in reducing subjectivity and improving efficiency. The findings showed that the system succeeded in improving transparency and accuracy in the selection process, although there are still technical challenges and a need for adaptation technical challenges and the need for user adaptation were initial barriers.

Abstract

Manajemen keuangan sekolah memegang peran vital dalam mendukung kualitas layanan pendidikan yang efektif dan berkelanjutan. Dalam era otonomi pendidikan dan implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS), pengelolaan keuangan yang transparan dan akuntabel menjadi tuntutan utama untuk menciptakan tata kelola yang baik (good governance). Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam prinsip-prinsip transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam pengelolaan keuangan sekolah, serta implementasinya dalam konteks regulasi dan praktik di lapangan. Dengan menggunakan metode studi literatur, artikel ini menganalisis berbagai teori, kebijakan, dan temuan penelitian terdahulu terkait pengelolaan dana pendidikan, khususnya Dana BOS. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa transparansi mendorong keterbukaan informasi keuangan kepada seluruh pemangku kepentingan, sementara akuntabilitas menekankan tanggung jawab penggunaan dana yang dapat dipertanggungjawabkan secara hukum, administratif, dan etis. Implementasi kedua prinsip ini secara sinergis terbukti mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan publik, efektivitas penggunaan anggaran, serta integritas lembaga pendidikan. Artikel ini juga merekomendasikan penggunaan sistem informasi keuangan digital, penguatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia, serta keterlibatan aktif masyarakat dalam pengawasan keuangan sekolah. Dengan demikian, transparansi dan akuntabilitas menjadi landasan penting bagi terciptanya sistem keuangan sekolah yang berkelanjutan, efisien, dan kredibel.

Abstract

Academic supervision plays a crucial role in enhancing teacher motivation and performance as part of a strategic effort to achieve optimal educational quality. Highly motivated teachers tend to be more active, creative, and responsible in carrying out their teaching duties in the classroom. This study aims to analyze in depth how academic supervision contributes to improving teachers’ work motivation. The method used in this article is a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained from various sources such as scholarly journals, reference books, and articles related to supervision and teacher motivation in educational contexts. The findings indicate that academic supervision, when conducted in a structured, scheduled, participatory, and reflective manner, can foster positive professional relationships between supervisors and teachers. Supervision activities that provide opportunities for discussion, constructive feedback, and support in professional development have been proven to boost teacher enthusiasm and self-confidence in delivering effective learning. Therefore, academic supervision functions not only as a monitoring tool but also as a means of continuous coaching and empowerment for teachers.

Abstract

This study examines decision-making models and ethics in the leadership of Islamic educational institutions through a qualitative literature review approach. The research focuses on identifying and analyzing decision-making processes that integrate Islamic values, such as deliberation (syura), justice, honesty (as-siddiq), and trustworthiness (amanah). Data were collected from SINTA-indexed journal articles published between 2019 and 2024, with keywords including "decisionmaking," "leadership," and "educational institutions." The findings highlight that effective decision-making in Islamic education requires a balance between rational managerial models (e.g., bounded rationality) and ethical principles derived from Islamic teachings. Leaders must act as entrepreneurs, problem solvers, and mediators while upholding moral accountability. The study underscores the importance of ethical leadership in fostering transparent, collaborative, and integrity-driven educational environments. However, further research is needed to systematically integrate Islamic ethical frameworks into contemporary educational management practices.
