Abstract

Service quality at fuel stations (SPBU) is highly influenced by the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the competence of human resources. Several issues were identified at eight fuel stations in Semarang City, including inconsistent SOP implementation, limited employee understanding of service standards, and inadequate operational performance monitoring. This community service program aimed to improve employees’ understanding and implementation of SOPs while enhancing overall job performance through training and mentoring activities. The program employed a systematic approach consisting of preliminary observations, training needs assessment, material development, training delivery, service simulations, and post-training evaluation. A total of 124 employees from eight fuel stations participated in the three-month program. Evaluation results showed significant improvements in key performance indicators. Employees’ understanding of SOPs increased by 28.4%, compliance with operational procedures improved by 24.7%, and service quality increased by 21.6%. Furthermore, notable improvements were observed in work discipline, service communication, and occupational safety awareness. The findings demonstrate that structured SOP training combined with practical mentoring can effectively improve service quality, employee performance, and operational productivity in fuel station operations. Continuous training and evaluation are recommended to sustain performance improvement and ensure consistent service excellence.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) constitute the economic backbone of the RT 06 community in Curug, Duren Sawit. However, preliminary observations indicated that 80% of business owners commingled personal and business finances, lacking formal cash flow records. This deficiency in financial literacy serves as a primary constraint on business sustainability. This community service initiative aimed to enhance financial management capacity through a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, utilizing an intensive mentoring framework. Fifteen MSME participants received targeted education on segregating bank accounts, training in simplified bookkeeping, and personalized coaching clinics over a four-week period. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in financial management capabilities, with 86.7% of participants successfully segregating personal and business finances. Furthermore, a 45% increase in participants' scores was observed between the pre-test and post-test assessments. Consequently, all participants have now adopted simplified bookkeeping systems, utilizing either conventional or digital methods. The findings suggest that a personalized mentoring strategy is more effective than traditional classroom-based instruction, as it addresses specific technical challenges and facilitates direct behavioral change. This program provides a scalable model for enhancing the financial resilience of MSMEs in similar contexts, enabling them to operate with greater efficiency, transparency, and improved capacity for long-term growth projections.

Abstract

The rapid growth of information technology demands high digital literacy from vocational students to prepare them for both higher education and the professional workforce. This community service (PkM) project aims to address the skill gaps in administrative applications among students at SMK PU Kabupaten Lebak. Observation revealed that students faced challenges in structure-formatting long academic documents, executing systematic functions in spreadsheet calculation, and constructing logical slides for communication. To solve these structural challenges, an intensive practical workshop method was established, integrating interactive lectures, direct computer laboratory practices, and individualized mentoring modules. This program thoroughly covered essential applications, including Microsoft Word for official reporting alignment, Microsoft Excel for computational data analysis, and Microsoft PowerPoint for dynamic visual communication. Evaluation was conducted using a rigorous pre-test and post-test measurement design. The empirical results demonstrated a substantial enhancement in digital capacity, where the class average test score significantly accelerated from 48.50% to 84.20%. Furthermore, qualitative responses confirmed a high level of learner participation and self-confidence. This intensive training successfully cultivated the critical technical proficiency required by vocational school graduates to successfully transition into complex technical environments.
