Abstract

The Widodomartani community has practiced land management in their yard with simple agroforestry as a form of intensification. For the younger generation to understand the practice of agroforestry from an early age, it is necessary to introduce it so that they are motivated to practice it as part of the family income. There are 4 forms of agroforestry, namely trees planted regularly with non-tree plants, there are 2 compositions, namely sengon trees with kimpul, Japanese papaya, sissy. Trees were planted around the land and non-tree trees, such as mahogany, cassava, sweet potato, chili, papaya, ginger, turmeric, galangal, and sissy were planted inside. Mixed trees with 2 trees, namely the composition of mahogany trees, coffee, and mahogany trees, wadang, melinjo, coffee, sissy. Mixed trees next to it are land planted with non-tree 1 composition of mahogany, melinjo, ketapang, johar and the land next to it is banana, papaya, moringa, ginger, chili, spinach, tomato, eggplant, sissy. 2 plants are trying to be more popularized, namely the Sissy plant and Cassava or Cassava. The sissy plant is popularized because it is easy to grow in various conditions, can help treat intestinal and digestive disorders, and is easy to consume like spinach. Cassava or cassava plants for added value, one of which is used to develop Samia silkworm silk.

Abstract

One of the main problems faced by farmers in Tonjong Village, Tajur Halang Regency, Bogor is that the selling price of pure milk in 1 liter is quite low. Public knowledge regarding processing technology to increase product added value is still low, which is the reason farmers sell pure milk directly. This community service training aims to determine the effect of processing pure milk into mozzarella cheese on increasing community knowledge and skills. This increase in knowledge was measured using a one group pretest posttest design which was carried out in a prametric analysis using a paired sample t-test to see the difference in the mean scores. This training activity was given to 10 people in the community around the cattle farm in Tonjong Village who had an age range of 26-70 years and had the last education from elementary to high school. The results of this training community service indicate that there is a significant effect of giving on increasing community knowledge as evidenced by the significantly different pretest (68%) and posttest (87%) values (p <0.05). The expected results of community service can be implemented independently by breeders to increase the added value of dairy products through the processing of mozzarella cheese.

Abstract

Dangau Datuk Bengkulu Agribusiness Vocational School is a Vocational High School that aims to produce graduates with professional and competent skills in the field of work in business and industry or to open independent businesses. In line with this goal, it is necessary to develop independent businesses by utilizing local potential both from animals and plants to become products with high economic value, one of which is the production of nuggets. Nuget is a preferred snack food because it has a good taste, and is easy to prepare, using chicken meat as a raw material. Chicken nuggets have the characteristics of high-fat content with low fiber. The problem of high-fat content and low fiber can be anticipated by using different raw materials, including using other sources of animal protein such as fish or shellfish, besides that you can also use several types of vegetables and jackfruit straw as a high-fiber food source. The development of nuget by utilizing animal and vegetable protein sources is expected to be one of the product development efforts for self-sufficiency and to increase the entrepreneurial abilities of Dangau Datuk Vocational High School students. This service is implemented through socialization and guidance on the process of processing nuggets from fish (catfish) and vegetables (tomatoes, potatoes, jackfruit straw) along with good packaging methods and labeling of the resulting nugget products. The conclusion of the implementation of this service is to increase students' understanding regarding the nutrition of raw material for nuget products, understanding the processing of nuget which are high in protein and rich in fiber, and increasing knowledge related to product packaging and labeling.

Abstract

Community interest, especially the younger generation working in agriculture, continues to decline. The lack younger generation's interest in the agricultural sector is due to the image of being filthy and hot during work, in such a way that innovations in cultivation systems are required. Hydroponic technology is one of the solutions and could be introduced to the younger generation from an early age. This community service aims to produce trainers of hydroponics from MTs Baitul Hikmah Tempurejo Jember teachers and increase student interest in hydroponic cultivation extracurricular activities. The implementation of the training focused on teachers. After learning hydroponic cultivation techniques, the teacher and the community service team explain and demonstrate to the student. The training materials include understanding hydroponic cultivation, keys to success in hydroponics, the practice of preparing hydroponic tools, materials and installation; the method of seeding and preparation of nutrients; the technique of maintenance and harvesting. This community service has produced 8 teachers as trainers, a package of facilities and infrastructure for hydroponic cultivation, and a significant increase in student interest in hydroponic cultivation extracurricular activities

Abstract

Desa Cepogo in Boyolali Regency, Central Java, has rich and fertile agricultural potential. Its location at the foot of Mount Merapi and Merbabu results in fertile soil and abundant water, making it suitable for agricultural and livestock activities. One of the main commodities is green mustard plants. However, the occurrence of bountiful harvests in Desa Cepogo village affects the selling prices of various agricultural products, including green mustard plants. Therefore, a solution is needed to process green mustard into higher-value food products. The community service team from FATIPA UNISRI is assisting the local community, particularly the PKK (Family Welfare Movement) mothers, in training them on how to process green mustard into healthy green noodles and vegetable nuggets. The objective of this community service is to reduce the sale of raw agricultural products and instead transform them into finished goods. The training on processing green mustard into finished food products such as green noodles and vegetable nuggets is expected to provide a solution to the existing issues. The expected outcome of this community service is that the people of Desa Cepogo village will be able to process and sell food products made from green mustard at a high selling price, thereby improving overall well-being.

Abstract

Kalikesur Village, located in the Kedungbanteng District of Banyumas Regency, possesses significant prospects in agriculture and animal husbandry. Typically, the villagers continue to rely on forage fodder, such as grass and agricultural waste, to feed their poultry and cattle. Hence, the objective of our community activity is to acquaint the inhabitants of Kalikesur Village with the Azolla plant as a substitute feed and as a material for bio-organic fertilizer. We also want to teach cultivating methods so that an Azolla business group can be established. Getting to know one another, sharing insights on the value and advantages of Azolla for animal feed and bio-organic fertilizers, constructing basic bio-flocks (ponds), learning how to cultivate and harvest Azolla, creating fertilizer with Azolla as a base, and initiating new Azolla marketing campaigns on social media were some of the activities that took place. One of the program's many results is the technology transfer for growing Azolla, which may be used as a bio-organic fertilizer and a nutritional feed alternative. Additionally, it creates instructions for growing Azolla and using it as bio-organic fertilizer and animal feed. Additionally, the program provides manuals on the business analysis of Azolla. It contributes to the increase in livestock production, thereby enhancing the income and welfare of community service partners and the surrounding region.
