Tumbuhan kencana ungu (Ruellia tuberosa L.) merupakan tanaman liar atau lebih dikenal sebagai gulma yang tumbuh subur di Pulau Jawa. Kandungan flavonoid yang terdapat dalam ekstrak etanol 96% daun kencana ungu berfungsi sebagai zat antioksidan yang berperan dalam menetralisir radikal bebas dan menghambat reaksi peroksidasi lipid. Tablet ekstrat etanol 96% daun kencana ungu dkombinasikan dengan Na-CMC dan avicel PH 102 dibuat beberapa konsentrasi. Penggunaan Na CMC sebagai pengikat karena karena memiliki daya rekat yang kuat, meningkatkan kekerasan tablet, bersifat non toksik, dan non iritan, mudah diperoleh serta relatif murah dan avicel PH102 sebagai bahan penghancur yang menunjukkan sifat alir serta kompaktibilitas yang baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi bahan eksipien terhadap sifat fisik tablet serta mendapatkan formula yang optimum kombinasi Na-CMC dan avicel PH 102 pada tablet menggunakan metode faktorial lengkap. Ekstraksi daun kencana ungu dilakukan dengan metode maserasi menggunakan etanol 96%. Granulasi basah dilakukan dengan perbandingan konsentrasi Na-CMC dan avicel PH 102 adalah formula F1 (2,8:14) mg; formula FA (16,8:14) mg; formula FB (2,8:42) mg; dan formula FAB (16,8:42) mg. Metode optimasi yang digunakan adalah factorial design dengan menginput data hasil uji sifat fisik granul maupun tablet. Hasil evaluasi sudut diamdari granul, keseragaman bobot tablet, dan kerapuhan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap semua variabel sampel. Response optimization nilai desirability yang dihasilkan dari metode optimasi factorial design yaitu 0,6492 dengan menunjukkan formula optimum dengan bobot Na-CMC 2,8 mg dan avicel PH 102 14 mg.

Angka kejadian kasus infeksi dengue tahun 2020 di Kota Yogyakarta sebanyak 296 orang. Berdasarkan manifestasi klinis dengue terbagi menjadi 3 diagnosa yaitu dengue fever (DF), dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) dan dengue shock syndrome (DSS). Penularan terjadi akibat gigitan nyamuk Aedes aegypti dan mobilitas yang tinggi. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi angka kejadian yaitu kualitas hidup dan pengetahuan terhadapa penyakit yang berdampak pada tingkat kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui kualitas hidup dan pengetahuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara observasional dengan pengambilan data prosfektif di Rumah Sakit PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta periode April – Desember 2021. Kualitas hidup pasien dinilai menggunakan kuisioner EQ-5D-Y untuk pasien anak dan EQ-5D-5L untuk pasien dewasa dan pengetahuan dinilai menggunakan kuisioner yang terdiri dari pengetahuan penyakit, pengetahuan pencegahan dan prilaku pencegahan. Hasil penelitian di RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta pada pasien dengan diagnosa DHF sebanyak 40% merasa amat sangat bermasalah pada kegiataan yang biasa dilakukan dan sebanyak 40% merasa cukup bermasalah pada dimensi rasa cemas, sedih dan depresi sehingga berpengaruh pada kulitas hidup. Pada pengetahuan penyakit, pengetahuan pencegahan dan perilaku pencegahan pasien DF dan DHF tergolong dalam kategori buruk sehingga perlu adanya promosi kesehatan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan terhadap kesehatan. Penyakit demam dengue berpengaruh pada kulitas hidup. pengetahuan terhadap penyakit demam dengue dalam kategori buruk.

Tenoxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which has poor compressibility and compactibility. One way to change the compressibility and compactibility of a material is to use co-crystallization techniques The aim of this research is to characterize the formation of co-crystal between tenoxicam and malic acid and evaluate their compressibility and tabletability. Tenoxicam-malic acid co-crystal were prepared using the ultrasound-assisted solution co-crystallisation (USSC) method with the addition of ethanol solvent at the same molar ratio. The USSC result was characterized by polarization microscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, and thermal analysis methods. Evaluation of compressibility and tabletability (tensile strength and elactic recovery) was carried out on tenoxicam-malic acid co-crystal and intact tenoxicam. Characterization of the USSC result indicated the formation of tenoxicam-malic acid co-crystal, which were characterized by crystal habit, powder X-ray diffraction patterns, and DSC thermograms that were specific and different from intact tenoxicam and malic acid. Compressibility evaluation results show that the tenoxicam-malic acid co-crystal is in the good flow properties category, while the intact tenoxicam is in the poor flow properties category. The tensile strength of tenoxicam-malic acid co-crystal is higher than that of intact tenoxicam at the same compression strength (40 kg/cm2). Tenoxicam-malic acid co-crystal showed lower elastic recovery compared to intact tenoxicam. These results can be concluded that tenoxicam-malic acid co-crystals have been successfully prepared using the USSC method and have better compressibility and tabletability than intact tenoxicam.

Cyclodextrin is one of the compounds that can increase the solubility of a compound in water by forming inclusion complexes. Almost 70% of new drug candidates discovered recently are compounds that have poor solubility in water, so many researchers are conducting research using cyclodextrin as one of the developments in improving compounds in new drug discovery. However, the results of this complex formation must still be reviewed by researchers, whether the inclusion complex formed has succeeded in changing a compound into water soluble, and stable during its application. This article review summarizes the explanation of the evaluation of the results of the formation of cyclodextrin inclusion complexes with several water-insoluble compounds by searching scientific journals that have been published nationally and internationally in the last 10 (ten) years from 2013-2023 through the google scholar database, Pubchem, and Science Direct. Evaluation of the results of cyclodextrin inclusion complex formation can be done by several methods both computationally and laboratory testing.

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacterium that is resistant to ?-lactam antibiotics such as methicillins, a clinical problem that continues to affect the entire world. Resistance occurs as a result of the structural modification of Penicillin Binding Protein Penicilin Binding (PBP) MRSA. An organic active compound with antibacterial properties has sparked public interest, one of which is curcumin, which is known to have powerful antibacteric potential and can damage bacterial membranes. The aim of this study is to identify a compound of curcuminoid derivatives that could potentially be an antibacterial drug candidate for MRSA with in silico studies using molecular docking methods. The results obtained curcumin compounds have a free-binding energy of -5,56 kcal/mol, de-methoxy curcumine -6,25 kcal /mol and bis-demethoxy curcumin -6,24 kkal /mol. The interactions formed indicate the affinity of binding, from the data obtained all ligans possess good affinities even though the value of free-binding energy is lower than natural ligans.

Breast cancer is one of the diseases that causes death in women in the world. The high costs incurred to control cancer can affect the control of other diseases. One of the therapies given to breast cancer patients is adjuvant therapy. This review article aims to determine the cost utility of adjuvant therapy in Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor-2 (HER-2) Positive breast cancer patients in various countries. The article review method used is a literature review by conducting a literature study using the Pubmed and Google Scholar data bases. After conducting a literature study, 37 articles were obtained but only 4 articles met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The articles used are articles that discuss the comparison of cost-effectiveness with quality of life as a clinical outcome of adjuvant therapy used by HER-2 Positive breast cancer patients. The articles used were conducted in 4 countries, namely the United States, Japan, the Philippines and Brazil. The results of the review of each article used show that each country has different strategies regarding costs for providing adjuvant therapy to HER-2 Positive breast cancer patients. The use of adjuvant therapy with the highest total costs, namely trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1) in the United States (USD 218,179.98). The highest ICER value in this review article is a comparison of trastuzumab alone with the combination trastuzumab-neratinib (USD 416,106) in the United States. The therapy that produced the highest clinical outcome value of quality of life was T-DM1 (17,310) in Brazil and the United States. There is a comparison of the total cost and effectiveness of adjuvant therapy for HER-2 positive breast cancer. Differences in total costs and cost-effectiveness are influenced by research time, population, policies related to determining minimum treatment costs, currency, and research methods.

The phenomenon of coffee drinking influences thought patterns, health, and behavior in today's society. The joy of coffee comes from its taste and efficacy. Innovation the raw material for coffee in this study is black garlic with ginger powder added. Black garlic is a processed garlic product that contains an organic sulfur compound called S-allylcysteine sulfoxide, which has antioxidant properties. Another benefit of black garlic is that it can increase your body's stamina/vitality. The addition of ginger powder, which acts synergistically as an antioxidant, also contributes to the flavor of the coffee. This is expected to increase the creation of types of coffee-making ingredients that can improve taste and enhance functional benefits for human health. This study aims to determine the correct formulation of black garlic coffee with added ginger powder to have a positive impact on health. Chemical testing is performed by analyzing components such as: Antioxidants and proximate analysis, polyphenols; have potential applications in food and health products, as well as among herbal ingredients that maintain the body's stamina and vitality. The test process of sample analysis is carried out in the laboratory and the data is analyzed descriptively by presenting tables and plots of the obtained results in relation to the product potential. The technology used to develop Black Garlic Coffee is based on the processing of garlic, which is fermented for a period of time at high temperatures to produce new chemical components and recipes. This reserach have results that antioxidant content and detailed analysis of black garlic coffee could make it a globally competitive and local food that boosts stamina and vitality. This is supported by its antioxidant capacity and IC50% content of 8406.0677 ppm, low fat content of 0.20% and carbohydrate content of 37.03%. This is also supported by the moisture content of 53.02%; Ash content 1.53%; Protein 8.23%. Waste of pineapple stem (Ananas comusus L. Merr.) has not been optimally utilized, although it is known that pineapple contain bromelain enzym. This research aimed to isolation and characterization bromelain from pineapple stem. Enzim was extracted from pineapple stem to produce crude enzim of bromelain. Isolation bromelain was done by amonium sulphate precepititation and continued by dialysis. Characterization to determined molecular weight, protein content and protease activity. The result of fractionation by amonium precipitation showed the highest specific activity on amonium sulphate 40-60% fraction 1011,98 U/mg. Caharacterization of purified bromelain showed that molecular weight of bromelain is 23,69 dan 24,72 kD with proteint content 2,78 mg/mL and protease activity is 2833,33 U/mL. This study concluded that the pineapple stem has bromelain enzym with the protease activity.

DAGUSIBU is an effort to improve health for the community which is carried out through health service activities by pharmaceutical staff. DAGUSIBU (Get, Use, Save, Throw Away) is a Drug Awareness Family Movement Program initiated by the Indonesian Pharmacists Association to achieve public understanding and awareness of the correct use of drugs. Based on the results of Riskesdas Basic Health research in 2013, it shows that 35.2% of households store medicines for self-medication. Referring to the 35.2% of households that store medicines, 35.7% of them store hard medicines, and 27.8% of them store antibiotics and 86.1% of these antibiotics were obtained without a prescription. The aim of this research is to find out to what extent the general public in Lebakwangi Village, located in Arjasari District, Bandung Regency, knows about Dagusibu medicine. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative using a One Group Pretest and Posttest design with an accidental sampling approach. The results of the research showed that having a level of knowledge in the good category regarding DAGUSIBU Medicine had increased by 27%, and having a level of attitude towards DAGUSIBU Medicine in the good category had increased by 16%. The level of public knowledge is related to attitudes. Based on the results of the Spearman correlation test, it shows a p value of 0.048.

This study utilizes the Phaleria macrocarpa fruit (Phaleria macrocarpa (Scheff.) as an active ingredient in gel mask formulation due to its widespread use as a medicinal plant and its antioxidant properties that can inhibit free radicals. The research began with the collection of the fruit from the experimental garden in Lembang-Bandung, identified as Phaleria macrocarpa (Scheff.) Boerl. Extraction was conducted using the maceration method with 96% ethanol for 3x24 hours. Phytochemical screening results indicated the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, triterpenoids, and steroids. Antioxidant activity of the gel masks was tested using the DPPH immersion method, resulting in IC50 values of 60.18 ppm, 57.18 ppm, and 54.82 ppm for three different formulations. The pure extract had an IC50 of 45.11 ppm. The gel masks remained stable despite changes in pH and viscosity, with formulation 2 being the most preferred according to the hedonic test. In conclusion, the Phaleria macrocarpa gel mask exhibits effective antioxidant activity and good stability.
