Abstract

Ethics and morals hold significant importance in Islam, representing a fundamental aspect of the Prophet's mission. Among the scholars who extensively explored ethical principles was Ibn Miskawaih, renowned for his expertise in philosophy and history. This article aims to elucidate the ethical concepts propagated by Ibn Miskawaih. The methodology employed involves a thorough literature review drawing from various scholarly sources, including books, journals, and scientific papers. The findings of this research are as follows: Ibn Miskawaih's exploration of the human soul was influenced by notable thinkers such as Plato, Aristotle, and Alfarabi. These influences underscored the belief that happiness can be attained despite the soul's connection to the body, emphasizing the importance of mental actions alongside physical ones. Ibn Miskawaih delineates three levels of the human soul: An Nafs al-bahimiyah, An Nafs as-sabu'iyah, and An Nafs an-nathiqah, each representing distinct stages of spiritual development. The characteristics attributed to the human soul encompass wisdom, courage, temperance, justice, love, and friendship, reflecting the virtues advocated by Ibn Miskawaih. Practical implementation in learning involves the dissemination of beneficial advice, setting a good example (Uswatun Hasanah), and employing a system of rewards and punishments to reinforce ethical conduct. Through this study, we gain insights into the enduring relevance of Ibn Miskawaih's ethical teachings and their potential applications in contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

Interpretation of the Qur'an is a scientific study that requires the observer's thinking power, using various methods for comprehensive understanding. The tahlili method aims to interpret the Qur'an as a whole, starting from surah al-Fatihah to al-Nas, including aspects such as vocabulary (mufradat), reasons for the revelation of verses (sabab al-nuzul), correlation (munasabah), and contextualization of verses so that they can be used as references in studying the Koran. To understand the implementation of the tahlili method, this research uses a library study approach, collecting data from library sources such as books, magazines and documents related to tahlili interpretation. Through this exploration, the author is interested in the tafsir books that have been written by mufassir in Indonesia, while several tafsir books that use the tahlili method have been identified, including "Tafsir Al-Qur'an Al-Karim" by Mahmud Yunus, "Tafsir al-Karim" Hidayah Persis," "Tafsir al-Azhar" by HAMKA, "Tafsir Al-Qur'an Al-Majid," "Tafsir al-Bayan" by T.M. Hasbi ash-Shidieqy, and "Tafsir Rahmat" by Oemar Bakry, as well as "Tafsir al-Misbah" by M. Quraish. The existence of these works should be a motivation for current Al-Qur'an researchers to be able to produce tahlili tafsir books, so that studies or interpretations can be more optimal in contributing to the progress of Al-Qur'an studies and ensuring better understanding and relevance. to the holy text of the Qur’an.

Abstract

This study delves into Community Service at the Generasi Qurani Disability Islamic Boarding School in Cianjur, West Java, with the primary objective of economically empowering visually impaired students through a blend of academic, religious education, and entrepreneurship training. An integral facet of this empowerment initiative is the establishment of a mat business, spearheaded by visually impaired students and employing a door-to-door marketing approach. However, despite its noble intentions, the mat business encounters various challenges that necessitate strategic intervention. Firstly, there exists a dearth of innovation in the mat products, hampering their competitiveness in the market. Secondly, the marketing strategy deployed thus far has failed to maximize outreach, thus limiting market penetration. To address these challenges effectively, the research adopts a structured approach comprising three key stages. Initially, extensive training sessions are conducted to foster innovation skills in mat product development, emphasizing novel designs and manufacturing techniques. Subsequently, practical workshops focus on leveraging internet technologies to establish and manage online stores, coupled with targeted online marketing strategies. Finally, specialized training in financial management equips participants with essential skills in budget planning, expenditure management, and capitalization strategies. The outcomes of this research endeavor yield notable accomplishments. Firstly, the creation of innovative mat products characterized by appealing and distinctive designs, including those inspired by characters. Secondly, the successful establishment and operation of a dynamic online store, leveraging popular platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and e-commerce channels. Thirdly, enhanced visibility for the business through strategic mass media publications and engaging promotional video content. Lastly, the attainment of legal recognition through trademark registration for the mat products. In conclusion, this research endeavors to uplift the income and economic well-being of visually impaired students engaged in the mat business while simultaneously fostering inclusivity and expanding economic opportunities for individuals with visual disabilities.
