Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of laboratory-based inquiry learning models with group discussion methods in improving student learning outcomes. The research subjects were students of the 2012/2013 biology education who took the vertebrate zoology course. The sample used in this study was taken using a cluster random sampling technique of 2 classes. The concept discovery observation data in the form of quantitative data obtained through cognitive test sheets consisting of 25 questions and tested using the t test with a real level α = 0.05. Based on the results of data analysis shows that there is an influence of laboratory-based inquiry learning models on diversity of vertebrate animals.Keywords: laboratory learning, student learning outcomes, inquiry. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v20i1.pp1-6

Abstract

The low mathematical problem solving ability of junior high school students in Pringsewu, Lampung, Indonesia is because students understand the explanations given by the teacher and are less active during the learning process. The study was conducted to determine the differences in problem solving of students who follow the learning process using the PBL model using gamification teaching materials. The research uses quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental design type of research. The population used is junior high school students in Pringsewu, Lampung, Indonesia. The research sample used cluster random sampling technique. The data analysis used was one-way ANOVA analysis of variance with a significance level of 5% using SPSS which obtained a value of sig. <0.05 so H_0 is rejected, this indicates that there is an effect. After conducting a further test in the form of a Scheffe test, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the PBL learning model using gamification teaching materials on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. Keywords: problem based learning, gamification, mathematical problem solving ability. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i3.pp1278-1285

Abstract

The educational paradigm, which was originally face-to-face based, has shifted to virtual education or e-learning especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Student readiness is an important factor in the success of e-learning. In this study, an analysis will be carried out on the readiness of students in online learning and the relationship and its effect on learning outcomes. This research procedure includes several stages, namely: (1) adapting the instrument based on a literature review, (2) analyzing the validity of the content and distributing the instrument to the research sample, and (3) evaluating research data, examining correlation, and its effect on learning outcomes. The data obtained were analyzed statistically through reliability analysis and Pearson correlation. The research sample consisted of 120 students of chemistry education at the FKIP, University of Lampung. Based on the results of statistical tests obtained results. Based on the research results, it was found that all dimensions of student readiness in online learning had a significant positive correlation with learning outcomes with a sig <0.05. Based on the linear regression test, it was found that student readiness in online learning had an effect on learning outcomes by 20.6%. Abstract

This study aims to develop an ICT-based geometry transformation module for high school students. This research is a development research using the ADDIE model. The results showed that the geometry transformation module developed was valid and received a good response from students. The developed ICT-based geometry transformation module can be used as an alternative for teachers to help students learn geometry transformation material. However, this module can only be run on windows-based computers or tablets. Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of visual learning style using the Problem Based Learning model on learning outcomes in terms of the emotional intelligence of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Menganti. The population used is class XI IPA and the selected sample is students of class XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3 by applying the Problem Based Learning model. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and student learning outcomes tests. From the results of the data analysis, the value of sig. (2-tailed) = 0.005 on the results of the visual learning style test with high emotional intelligence was obtained. Meanwhile, the visual style learning outcome test with moderate emotional intelligence obtained a value of sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000 and the visual learning style with emotional intelligence obtained a value of sig. (2-tailed) = 0.001. Abstract

This study aims to develop a computer-based test instrument using the valid Wondershare Quiz Creator (WQC) to measure HOTS in temperature and heat material. This study uses research and development research methods and the research design used refers to the research design by Borg & Gall. Data analysis was performed by means of internal validation tests by a team of experts. This test instrument has been tested by experts consisting of the material validation test with a score of 3.10 (valid), construction with a score of 2.88 (valid), and language with a score of 3.63 (very valid). The CBT setting on this product is also very valid with an average score of 3.68. The sig value of the difference in the level of validity and complexity in the types of multiple choice, multiple response, matching, and sequence items obtained was> 0.05, which indicates that there was no difference in the average validity and complexity between the four types of questions at each cognitive level. Keywords: Test instruments, Wondershare Quiz Creator (WQC), HOTS.  DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v22i1.pp45-51

Abstract

21st century skills should ideally be able to provide a foundation to today's learning. The purpose of this study intends to investigate the use of whiteboard fox in mathematics learning that accommodates 21st century skills. Qualitative research methods with case study types are used to uncover 21st century skills in mathematics learning using whiteboard fox. The research site is located in one of the North Jakarta State High Schools. Purposive sampling techniques were used to answer research questions in which out of 31 students 10 students were selected who were assumed to be able to provide saturated information as well as a primary data source. Data collection techniques use structured interviews with reference to 21st century skill indicators in the context of the use of whiteboard fox in mathematics learning. Data were analyzed using the 2022 version of MAXQDA through coding, sub-coding, in-vivo and MAXMaps visualization processes. Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether there are significant differences in learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of students who are taught with the Problem Based Learning and Project Based Learning models assisted by iSpring media on electrolyte and non-electrolyte solution materials. This research method is a quasi-experiment with a two-class pretest-posttest research design. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique, and class X PMIPA 3 was selected as the experimental class I which was taught using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by iSpring media and X PMIPA 4 as the experimental class II which was taught by the Project Based Learning model assisted by iSpring media. The instruments used were tests in the form of pretest posttest sheets and non-tests in the form of assessment sheets on the affective and psychomotor aspects of students. Based on the results of the study, the average cognitive aspect learning outcomes were 83.71 in the experimental class I and 80.57 in the experimental class II. The average affective learning outcomes were 55.25 in the experimental class I and 55.05 in the experimental class II. The average learning outcomes of the psychomotor aspects were 78.57 in the experimental class I and 75.02 in the experimental class II. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in learning outcomes in the cognitive and psychomotor aspects of the two experimental classes, while in the affective aspect there is no significant difference. Keywords: problem based learning, project based learning, iSpring, chemistry learning outcomes. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i2.pp432-441

Abstract

The very rapid development of technology in the era of Society 5.0, requires lecturers to package learning that is interesting for students, one of which is with media and learning approaches from abstract material to concrete material. The purpose of this research is to produce e-comic products with a realistic approach. mathematics education in geometry transformation courses that can be used in online tutorials for 4th semester mathematics education study program students at Universitas Terbuka. This research method uses the Dick & Carey development design by including eight steps. Based on the results of student questionnaire responses using e-comic media with a realistic mathematics education approach, namely based on the results of student assessment responses, an average value of 86% was obtained, which means that e-comic media is classified as good as a learning medium. Meanwhile, based on the test of the effectiveness of the use of media on students, it is obtained tcount 3.285 > ttable 2.002 from the two results from the t-test through comparison it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that it means that there is a difference in the average learning outcomes between tutor class scores and the class media score. Abstract

At the Al-Qur'an-based PAUDQ An Najah, they are required to innovate in learning activities during the pandemic. The learning media used in PAUDQ An Najah still uses paper media, so teachers have difficulty providing material during the pandemic. Researchers feel the need to develop android-based interactive learning media to improve the quality of learning during the Covid19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to develop interactive learning media for the introduction of android-based Arabic vocabulary to assist teachers in the teaching process and to assist the role of parents in providing learning guidance to their children. The method used is Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), which has concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing and distribution stages. This research produces interactive learning media applications that can be operated on parents' smartphones to support online learning.
