Abstract

Pineapple peel waste is generally not utilized properly and is considered waste that should be thrown away. In fact, from the results of phytochemical tests, pineapple skin contains flavonoid compounds, tannins and saponins and contains compounds that have the potential to be anti-bacterial. One use of pineapple peel waste is as the main ingredient in making dishwashing soap. Dish washing soap produced from processing waste from pineapple peels and lime slices has a fresh aroma and good washing power and is gentle on hands. The aim of this service is to increase the knowledge of the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Rumbai Islamic Boarding School community in utilizing pineapple peel waste which is widely scattered in Pekanbaru City, where pineapples are one of the mainstays of agricultural products produced from Pekanbaru, especially Kualu Nenas Village. With this training, it is hoped that the community can utilize pineapple waste into more useful products and furthermore, the students of the Hidayatul Mubtadiin Islamic Boarding School, Muara Fajar Timur Rumbai Village, can make their own dishwashing soap for the Islamic boarding school's daily needs and for sale

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease caused by the Dengue virus and transmitted by the Aedes aegypti or Aedes albopictus mosquito. Sendangmulyo sub-district is the area with the highest number of dengue fever cases among the sub-districts in the Kedungmundu Health Center working area with the majority of residents' neighborhoods being residential complexes. Effor to control dengue hemorrhagic fever cases need to be increased by involving community participation. The problems faced by the community are the inconsistency of community knowledge and actions in efforts to eradicate mosquito nests in daily life, as well as the low level of public awareness in implementing habits to prevent cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever. The mentoring activities carried out were providing education regarding dengue hemorrhagic fever literacy and its prevention, followed by brainstorming regarding the root causes of the dengue problem in the Sendangmulyo area by producing a Follow-up Plan for implementing regional-based case reduction. Statistically, the pretest-posttest score difference test value for the knowledge, attitude and literacy variables respectively is 2.444 (p=0.015 <0.05); 2.142 (p=0.032 < 0.05) and 1.222 p=0.222 > 0.05). There is a significant difference in the mean pretest and posttest scores on the measurement of knowledge and attitude variables. The follow-up plan agreed upon by residents is the PKK Grebeg Jentik Movement, inspection of larvae in the field using a filter dipper, empty houses that have not been occupied for a long time must still be inspected with permission from the relevant RT, and provision of fishization for residents who have been inspected three times in a row and find larvae.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this community service is to increase the knowledge and skills of PKK women who use animal protein as a food source to prevent stunting and as a trading business in Talawi Mudiak Village, Talawi District, Sawahlunto City. The methods used in this service are lectures, discussions and demonstrations while the stages start with presentation of the material, training in making fried milk, as well as the evaluation stage. The results of this training are based on the results of answers to questions directly after completing the practice, that the PKK women who participated in this service were able to mention the process and ingredients needed to make fried milk and there were no obstacles in the making process. Abstract

Youth are a potential resource to participate in village development. Youth are individuals who must be seen as young people who are at a certain level in the development of human life, with certain qualities and identity. One effort to improve creativity and entrepreneurial abilities is through becoming a student. The capacity of young people in villages can be optimized through entrepreneurship according to the interests and talents of young people as well as regional potential. This service is to find out how to increase the entrepreneurial spirit through interest in studying for young people in Tantan Village, Sekernan District, Muaro Jambi Regency. The aim and benefits to be achieved are to provide knowledge about the character of an entrepreneur and what conditions a person must have in order to have the main characteristics of a creative person, the characteristics that enable a creative person and the side characteristics of a creative person. This service activity is oriented towards strengthening knowledge of the characteristics of creative people in order to carry out campus activities as activities of a student as well as an entrepreneur, so the method used is an outreach method about the spirit of creativity, students and entrepreneurship. The results of this activity are (1) Community Service for youth can be carried out well and smoothly. (2) This activity received a very good response as evidenced by the activeness of partners in participating in service activities. (3) Service participants strengthen their motivation to become students and entrepreneurs through the main characteristics of creative people, the characteristics that enable creative people, and the secondary characteristics of creative people.

Abstract

This community service aims to increase knowledge about efforts to increase creativity in preparing themselves to become students and entrepreneurs for young people in Tantan Village who want to continue their education at university. The methods used in this service are lectures and discussions. The stages start from coordinating with village youth and village officials, outreach activities, and the evaluation stage. The discussion stage showed that the participants were ready to become students and entrepreneurs through creative abilities by the characteristics of a creative person.

Abstract

The aim of holding this PKM activity is to diversify coconut into chips and sticks for housewives in RT 002 Tadoloiyo Trans Village, Oheo District. The selected participants were 10 people who had coconut trees in their yard. The activity stages were counseling and practice. PKM activities were carried out well, participants were very enthusiastic in taking part in PKM activities. Monitoring results showed that the amount of increase in participants' knowledge and skills from 100% of the 10 participants answered that they did not know before the training activity in making chips and coconut sticks increased to 100% or 10 participants answered that they knew and were able after the training. This shows that training activities can be said to be successful because there is an increase in the knowledge and skills of the training participants.

Abstract

Pembuatan Kompos dengan Memanfaatkan Limbah Rumah Tangga yang Bernilai Jual" adalah kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang bertujuan mengurangi dampak negatif limbah rumah tangga sambil memberikan manfaat ekonomi. Melibatkan workshop, pelatihan, dan pendampingan langsung, kegiatan ini mengajarkan masyarakat cara mengelola limbah rumah tangga melalui pembuatan kompos yang ramah lingkungan dan memiliki nilai jual.Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat, dengan banyak peserta yang berhasil mengimplementasikan pembuatan kompos di rumah mereka. Hal ini menciptakan lingkungan bersih dan memberikan penghasilan tambahan melalui penjualan kompos. Terbentuknya kelompok-kelompok masyarakat yang berfokus pada kegiatan ini memperkuat jejaring sosial dan kolaborasi dalam pelestarian lingkungan.Penerapan model bisnis kompos memberikan dampak positif pada perekonomian lokal, mengurangi ketergantungan pada pupuk kimia yang merusak tanah. Pembuatan kompos dengan memanfaatkan limbah rumah tangga berhasil menciptakan sinergi antara aspek lingkungan dan ekonomi, mengubah limbah menjadi sumber daya bernilai jual. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini membawa manfaat nyata bagi masyarakat, menciptakan lingkungan berkelanjutan, dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi lokal.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan dalam upaya penguatan pangan keluarga melalui Pelatihan budidaya secara vertikultur ini merupakan solusi bagi masyarakat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan rumah tangga  dengan memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan yang mereka miliki guna  menanam tanaman yang bermanfaat bagi keluarga untuk pemenuhan pangan secara mandiri . Tujuan dan manfaat pengabdian ini adalah untuk mentranfer ilmu pengetahuan kepada masyarakat tentang pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan rumah, yang dapat berguna bagi kehidupan masyarakat, memberi motivasi kepada masyarakat, Sehingga Kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memperbaiki Sumber Daya Manuasia, menambah pendapatan keluarga dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Metode yang dilakukan dalam Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan meliputi dengan memberikan penyuluhan tentang pentinganya pemanfatan lahan untuk pemenuhan pangan dan gizi keluarga. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan dengan tahapan penyuluhan serta edukasi dan demonstrasi tentang penanaman sayur-sayuran dengan menggunakan memanfaatkan media plastik bekas limbah rumah tangga seperti plastik bungkusan minyak goreng dan botol bekas minuman kemasan. Abstract

Cow urine waste is unused waste that is still scattered in Pebaun Hulu village, Kuantan Mudik District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. Currently, cattle waste, especially urine, causes environmental pollution, which disrupts people's comfort. This community service activity aims to train the community, especially the youth of Pebaun Hulu village, to utilize cow urine into liquid organic fertilizer (POC) using fermentation techniques with EM-4. The target of the training activities is the youth of Pebaun Hulu village. Training activities were carried out over two meetings. Based on the pre-test results, 80% of youth do not understand the benefits of fertilizer and do not understand how to make POC. The method used in the training consists of three stages, namely lecture, discussion and practice. The result of the training is that the youth of Pebaun Hulu village understand and understand how to make POC from cow urine found in their environment using the EM-4 fermentation technique. Through this activity, it has also changed the paradigm of the people of Pebaun Hulu village, Kuantan District, Kuantan Singingi Regency who consider cow dung as waste that can pollute the environment to be more useful.

Abstract

Good and attractive product packaging and labeling techniques are needed to support a food product. Not all producers or food business actors such as as Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) can apply modern packaging techniques. Until now, product packaging is still a problem for food business actors, especially Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Problems about product packaging and labels are sometimes an obstacle for the development or progress of a food processing business. The problem that occurs in snack food business actors in Rantau Puri Village is that people do not know how to package snack products in an attractive way so that buyers can easily identify them. The purpose of community service activities in Rantau Puri Village is through the transfer of knowledge and technology of snack packaging so that it is easily recognized by the market and to increase the number of processed snack products that can be produced and marketed. Packaging and labeling in the context of marketing food products is very important to do. Activities in this community service are in the form of mentoring, counseling and training for joint business groups and individual businesses specifically for micro-enterprises in the field of snack food processing, such as Balado sweet potato chips, banana chips, peanut brittle and fish crackers in Pematang Gajah Village, Jambi District Outside the City, Muaro Regency. Jambi. In addition to functioning as a means of protecting the product, packaging also increases the attractiveness of consumers to buy a certain product. Serving snacks that are packaged in clean, nice, waterproof containers will certainly increase sales. In addition to the most important thing from this packaging activity is labeling.
