Abstract

The training on the production of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) conducted in Rumah Tiga Village, Teluk Ambon District, Ambon City, aimed to enhance farmers' capacity in implementing environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural practices. The program engaged six farmer groups and adopted a participatory approach that integrated theoretical instruction with hands-on practice. Farmers were trained to produce LOF using locally available organic materials such as banana stems and household kitchen waste. The training resulted in a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills, with 90% of trainees able to accurately recall the LOF production procedures. Furthermore, 82% of participants expressed a strong commitment to independently adopt LOF in their farming activities. The program also contributed to strengthening social capital by increasing participation in communal activities (gotong royong) and encouraging the formation of informal learning groups. These findings indicate that participatory, practice-based training models are effective in fostering behavioral change among farmers toward sustainable agriculture and can be replicated in other regions as a strategic approach to empowering farming communities.

Abstract

This study analyzes students' responses to the use of the Wordwall application-based Game Based Learning model at SMA Negeri 1 Kabila. The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of this learning model in improving student activity, participation, and learning outcomes in geography. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive design, involving 10th grade students as subjects. Student activity data were collected through questionnaires and observations, analyzed descriptively using frequency, percentage, and average. The results showed a significant increase in student engagement from the first to the fourth meeting, from 68.88% to 97.77%. This increase reflects students' positive response to a more interactive and enjoyable learning method compared to conventional methods. The Wordwall-based Game-Based Learning model proved to be effective in increasing student engagement and concentration, which contributed to improved geography learning outcomes. Thus, this model is an innovative and relevant alternative for learning in the digital age and is in line with the Merdeka curriculum requirements at SMA Negeri 1 Kabila. This study also emphasizes the importance of utilizing digital learning media that can stimulate student motivation and interest in the teaching and learning process. The use of Wordwall as a Game-Based Learning platform provides a varied and enjoyable learning atmosphere that facilitates the understanding of abstract geography concepts. In addition, this study highlights the role of teachers as facilitators in integrating technology with learning methods that can maximize student potential. The implications of the research results show that the application of Wordwall-based Game-Based Learning can be used as an effective learning strategy to improve the quality of education in high schools.

Abstract

Bullying is a serious problem in schools as it affects mental health, learning motivation, and the educational climate. This phenomenon often occurs in physical, verbal, or psychological forms, and if left unaddressed, it can hinder students’ development. Therefore, concrete steps are needed to raise students’ understanding and awareness in preventing and handling bullying. This study aims to improve students’ understanding, awareness, and commitment to bullying prevention through the Stop Bullying Campaign at MAN 1 Central Maluku. The method included socialization, group discussions, and educational games, with evaluation using pre-test and post-test on 65 tenth-grade students. The results indicated significant improvements: understanding of bullying definitions increased from 43% to 92%, awareness of bullying types from 38% to 89%, awareness of its impacts from 46% to 94%, knowledge of reporting procedures from 34% to 88%, and prevention commitment from 54% to 97%. These findings confirm the effectiveness of the campaign in creating a safe, supportive, and bullying-free school environment.

Abstract

This research aims to improve basic underhand serve techniques in volleyball using the Group Investigation (GI) method. The data from classroom action research with grade VII-A students at SMP Negeri 1 Molibagu was collected in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: (1) Planning, (2) Implementation, (3) Observation and Interpretation, and (4) Analysis and Reflection. Learning through the Group Investigation (GI) method can improve the learning outcomes of underhand serves in volleyball among grade VII-A students at SMP Negeri 1 Molibagu. The analysis showed significant improvement in cycle I, and a significant increase in cycle II. The learning outcomes for volleyball underhand serves in cycle I were 67.73%, and in cycle II, there was an increase to 81.84% in student learning outcomes, with a total of 29 students.

Abstract

This study was conducted in Iluta Village, Batudaa District, Gorontalo Regency, to determine thepetrographic characteristics, geochemical composition, and potential utilization of limestone. The research methods included geological mapping, rock sampling, petrographic analysis using thin sections, and geochemical analysis through X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF). The stratigraphy of the study area consists of limestone units with packstone, wackstone, and mudstone facies, as well as alluvial deposits. Petrographic observations show that packstone is dominated by micrite (73%), vuggy pores (16%), and foraminifera (11%); wackstone by vuggy pores (42%), micrite (34%), foraminifera (13%), and calcite (11%); while mudstone contains calcite (52%), micrite (40%), and foraminifera (8%). Geochemical results indicate that samples FH4 and FH18 have high CaO (±49– 50%) and low SiO₂–Al₂O₃, suggesting high-quality limestone suitable for cement and quicklime production. Conversely, sample FH22, with high SiO₂–Al₂O₃ and low CaO (±8.31%), represents silicate-rich mudstone unsuitable for industrial limestone use.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the geomorphological characteristics of the Hulonthalangi area and the Tanjung Keramat Coast in Gorontalo City, which serve as part of the supporting region of the Gorontalo Geopark. The study encompasses variations in topography, slope gradients, river flow patterns and stages, as well as the classification of geomorphological units. In general, the study area is classified into four main morphometric types: Lowland, Inland Lowland, Low Hills, and Hills. Slope analysis indicates variations ranging from flat to steep zones, reflecting differences in slope stability and highlighting areas with high erosion potential. Analysis of river flow patterns shows a dominance of parallel patterns, with valleys shaped like a “V” in the youthful stage and a “U” in the mature stage. Geomorphological characteristics were identified through remote sensing analysis using SRTM DEM data processed with ArcGIS software, and subsequently verified through direct field observations for geomorphological mapping and lithological distribution. This procedure was carried out according to scientific standards to integrate image analysis results with field data. The geomorphological units identified in the study area include Intrusive Hills, Volcanic Hills, Denudational Hills, and Alluvial Plains. Each unit possesses distinctive lithological and topographical characteristics that influence land-use patterns and environmental stability. This study provides significant contributions by supplying geomorphological data that can serve as a reference for planning, development, and sustainable environmental management in the Tanjung Keramat coastal area. The results also support efforts to mitigate potential environmental risks and promote wiser land-use practices in the Hulonthalangi area and Tanjung Keramat Coast.
