Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of eighth-grade students’ learning discipline through the habituation of Dhuha prayer at MTs Sunan Kalijaga Boyolali in the 2025/2026 academic year. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants included the principal, Islamic Religious Education teachers, homeroom teachers, and eighth-grade students. The results show that the habituation of Dhuha prayer conducted routinely before the learning process is able to improve students’ learning discipline, particularly in aspects of punctuality, learning readiness, compliance with school regulations, and academic responsibility. The habituation of worship also has an impact on students’ psychological calmness and self-control, thereby supporting a more conducive learning process. The study concludes that the habituation of Dhuha prayer is an effective strategy to improve students’ learning discipline while strengthening religious character based on Islamic education values.

Abstract

The use of technology-based learning media plays an important role in improving the quality of learning and learning outcomes of elementary school students. Interactive learning media can help students understand the concept of changing the form of objects in a more concrete and interesting way. This study aims to find out the differences in student learning outcomes before and after using the Educational Qreatif Application for Changes in the Shape of Things, the difference in learning outcomes between students who use the application and those who do not use the application, and determine the effectiveness of using the application in improving student learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi experimental type and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design design. The research sample amounted to 50 grade IV students consisting of 2 class classes, each class amounted to 25 students. Data was collected through pretest and posttest, then analyzed using paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test, and N-Gain test with the help of SPSS. The results showed a significant difference in learning outcomes, as well as an N-Gain value of 0.6871 with a moderate category and a fairly effective percentage. It can be concluded that the use of the Educational Qreatif Application for Changes in the Shape of Objects is quite effective in improving the learning outcomes of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the Petarung (Food Chain Adventure) multimedia-based learning media assisted by songs and to determine its feasibility and effectiveness in improving students’ learning outcomes in IPAS on the topic of food chains for fifth-grade students at SDN 01 Kepatihan. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. Data were collected through interviews, observations, needs questionnaires, expert validation sheets, response questionnaires, and pretest–posttest assessments. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques, supported by the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Paired Sample t-Test, and N-Gain test to measure effectiveness. The results showed that the developed media obtained an average validation score of 87.29%, categorized as very feasible. The t-test result indicated a significance value of 0.001 (Sig. < 0.05), demonstrating a significant improvement in learning outcomes. The N-Gain score in the small group was 0.8026 and in the large group was 0.7718, both categorized as high. Therefore, the Petarung multimedia-based learning media assisted by songs is highly feasible and effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in IPAS on the topic of food chains in elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to examine, describe, and determine the extent to which the implementation of the Team Games Tournament learning model assisted by fraction domino media influences the improvement of Mathematics learning outcomes among fourth-grade students of SDN Donorejo 1, Demak City. The research employed a quantitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and learning achievement tests consisting of pretests and posttests. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative analysis techniques to test the research hypothesis, applying the Independent Sample T-Test and N-Gain analysis to measure the improvement in students’ learning outcomes. The results of the t-test showed that the value of tcount (3.125) > ttable (2.004), indicating a significant difference in the mean scores between the control class and the experimental class. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 80.1786, while the control class obtained an average score of 71.2069. Furthermore, the observation results of students’ learning activities revealed that the level of activeness in the experimental class was categorized as very good, with an average score of 76%, whereas the control class achieved an average of 57%, which falls into the good category. Based on the N-Gain calculation, the improvement in learning outcomes in the experimental class was higher than that of the control class, as seen from the pretest and posttest scores obtained. Therefore, the Team Games Tournament learning model assisted by fraction domino media is proven to be effective in improving Mathematics learning outcomes on fraction material for fourth-grade students of SDN Donorejo 1, Demak City.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low simple text writing skills among third-grade elementary school students caused by difficulties in expressing ideas in written form and weak spelling application. Less varied learning models and media also affected student learning outcomes, with 53% of students not yet achieving the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP). This research aims to analyze the effect of the estafet writing model assisted by picture story media on simple text writing skills and to describe the improvement in student activities. The research method used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design in the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sample used in this study consisted of 15 third-grade students from SDN Tlogopandogan 1 as the experimental class and 14 third-grade students from SDN Tlogopandogan 2 as the control class. The research instruments consisted of writing skills tests and student activity observation sheets. Data analysis using SPSS 27 included normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis tests, N-gain tests, and student activity analysis. The research results showed a value of 2,087 greater than of 2,052 with a significance of 0,046 < 0,05, which means there is a significant effect. The experimental class experienced an average increase from 66,4 to 78,13 with an N-gain of 0,34 in the moderate category, while the control class increased from 64 to 70 with an N-gain of 0,16 in the low category. Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement and effectiveness of the use of flipbook learning media on the acrostic poetry writing skills of fifth grade students of SDN Sekaran 02, Semarang City. The background of the study is due to the still low acrostic poetry writing skills, which is caused by the lack of media that supports poetry writing skills. This study uses a quantitative method with an experimental design in the form of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample was 39 students from classes V A and V B. The experimental class was in class V B with 19 students, and the control class was in class V A with 20 students. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis used normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis tests (Independent Sample T-tests), and N-Gain Tests. The results of the study showed that there were significant differences between the experimental class and the control class. This was proven through the Independent Sample T-test which showed a calculated tvalue > t­table (4.225 > 2.026). The average pretest to posttest score of the experimental class increased from 62.10 to 83.94. While in the control class, it initially increased from 60 to 70. In addition, the test criteria obtained by the experimental class were categorized as moderate with a score of 0.59, while in the control class, they were categorized as low with a score of 0.25. This finding confirms that the use of flipbook media is effective and improves the acrostic poetry writing skills of fifth grade students of SDN Sekaran 02.

Abstract

Science literacy in Indonesia is still low based on PISA results, so learning innovations such as the IBSC model of collaborative inquiry are needed to train students' scientific thinking, communication, and collaboration skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the ecosystem-based Investigation Based Science Collaborative (IBSC) learning model on improving junior high school students' science literacy in food chain and food web material. This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, conducted at SMP Negeri 32 Surabaya in class VII-C with 30 students as samples. The instruments included an observation sheet on the implementation of learning, a science literacy test (pretest-posttest), and a student response questionnaire. Data analysis used the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Wilcoxon test, N-gain, and descriptive analysis. The results showed that the implementation of IBSC learning was very good, with a percentage of 95.63% in the first meeting and 97.22% in the second meeting. Students' science literacy increased significantly (sig. <0.001), with an average N-gain score of 0.72 (high category), where 68% of students reached the high category and 32% reached the medium category. Improvements were seen in the indicators of explaining scientific phenomena (N-gain 0.69), developing investigation plans (N-gain 0.83), and interpreting data/evidence (N-gain 0.73). Students' responses to active and collaborative learning were highly positive (>85%). In conclusion, the ecosystem-based IBSC model effectively improves students' science literacy through an investigative and collaborative approach, which is applied to the development of meaningful and contextual science learning. This study recommends the sustainability of the IBSC model with a focus on data analysis and expansion of research subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by Canva media on poetry writing skills in eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 X Koto Singkarak. The PjBL model was chosen because it encourages students to actively design real-life projects, stimulates creativity, collaboration, and in-depth idea processing. Canva media is used as an organizational tool and a medium for conveying material about poetry texts in an engaging manner. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected through poetry writing tests before (pretest) and after (posttest) the application of the PjBL model assisted by Canva media. The research instrument was an assessment rubric that covered the suitability of the content to the theme/title, the use of diction and imagery, and the physical and spiritual structure of the poem. Data analysis included the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and a paired sample t-test to determine significant differences between the pretest and posttest. The results showed a significant improvement in students' poetry writing skills after implementing the Canva-assisted Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. Students' average scores increased from 58.01 to 80.92. A paired sample t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Canva-assisted Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model is effective in improving students' poetry writing skills. This model not only provides knowledge and understanding of poetry but also facilitates the development of students' creativity, critical thinking, collaboration skills, and digital literacy. The use of Canva also provides visual and interactive support that facilitates students' understanding of poetry, making learning more engaging and meaningful.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Real Reading Aided Learning (ReAL) media in improving the early reading skills of first grade elementary school students. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the pretest-posttest control group type. The research subjects were 55 students divided into a control class (27 students) and an experimental class (28 students). Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and an early reading ability test that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out through normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired t-tests, independent t-tests (Welch), and N-gain calculations using SPSS version 27. The results showed that there was a significant increase in early reading ability in the experimental class with an average gain value of 16.29 and an N-gain of 0.331 (medium category), higher than the control class which obtained an average gain of 4.37 and an N-gain of 0.087 (low category). An independent t-test showed a significant difference in improvement (p < 0.001) with a very large effect size (d > 2.5). Thus, ReAL media is effective in improving the beginning reading skills of first-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a mobile learning product designed to support computational thinking (CT) learning for prospective teachers. Mastery of CT is an important competency in the digital era because it plays a role in equipping students with systematic, logical thinking and problem-solving skills according to the demands of the 21st century. The development process refers to the Alessi and Trollip model which includes the stages of needs analysis, design, development, and product trials. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires given to material experts, media experts, and prospective teachers as trial respondents. The results of the study indicate that the developed mobile learning application meets the valid criteria based on the assessment of material experts and media experts with a very good/very feasible category. Trials on prospective teachers indicate that the application has a good level of practicality and is effective in improving knowledge about computational thinking. Thus, the developed mobile learning is suitable for use as an innovative and relevant learning medium to support strengthening prospective teachers' CT abilities.
