Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the following things. First, to describe the level of reading comprehension skills of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai, Padang Pariaman Regency. Second, to describe the level of writing response text skills of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai, Padang Pariaman Regency. Third, to describe the level of reading comprehension skills of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai, Padang Pariaman Regency. This type of research is quantitative with a descriptive method with a correlational design. The research design used is a correlational relationship between two variables. The population of this study was seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai, Padang Pariaman Regency registered in the 2025/2026 academic year with a total of 249 students. The sample in this study amounted to 71 students. The research sample was taken using the Slovin formula with a proportional random sampling technique. The research instrument was a test, namely an objective test of reading comprehension skills and a performance test of writing response text skills. There are three research results as follows. First, the reading comprehension skills of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai, Padang Pariaman Regency are in good qualifications with an average value of (76.67). Second, the writing skills of response texts of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai, Padang Pariaman Regency are in good qualifications with an average value of (82.51). Third, a significant correlation between reading comprehension skills and writing skills of response texts of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai, Padang Pariaman Regency at n-1 degrees of freedom (71-1) and a significance level of 95%, the h value (9.213) is greater than t table (1.669). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between reading comprehension skills and writing skills of response texts of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Batang Anai, Padang Pariaman Regency. Abstract

Cultural Diversity material is often considered complex due to the broad scope of information. Therefore, a digital comic medium is needed that can visualize the uniqueness of the archipelago's culture contextually, so that students not only memorize, but also feel an emotional closeness to the material. This study aims to develop a learning media in the form of digital comics on the topic of Cultural Diversity for fourth-grade students at Maibit Public Elementary School. The method used in this research is R&D (Research and Development) by applying the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The data analysis technique in this study uses quantitative descriptive to measure the results of teacher and student response questionnaires, as well as qualitative descriptive to describe and narrate feedback during the development process. The data obtained from the validation results show that the validation from media experts obtained a percentage of 96% with a valid category, content experts obtained a percentage of 94% with a valid category, and language experts obtained a percentage of 88% with a valid category. Based on the validation results from the experts, it shows that the digital comic media is declared valid. The practicality test conducted through teacher and student response questionnaires also shows a very practical category. The teacher response questionnaire results obtained a percentage of 96% with a practical category, and the student response questionnaire results obtained a percentage of 95% with a practical category. The effectiveness of digital comic learning media obtained a percentage of 92% with an effective category. Based on these research results, it can be stated that digital comic media can turn the learning situation into a more conducive and enjoyable environment, can improve learning outcomes, and digital comic learning media is feasible and practical to use.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of learning the At-Tibyān book in improving the etiquette of reading the Qur'an in students at the Baiturrahmat Islamic Boarding School. The study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design involving 30 students. The results showed that the average score of the etiquette of reading the Qur'an increased from 51.37 in the pretest to 77.97 in the posttest. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores with a Sig. (2-tailed) < 0.001, while the N-Gain analysis showed an average value of 0.5321, which is included in the moderate category. These findings indicate that learning the At-Tibyān book is effective in improving the etiquette of reading the Qur'an in students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Talking Stick learning model, Smart Box media, and a combination of the Talking Stick model assisted by Smart Box media on the learning outcomes of Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) for third-grade students at SD N Sriwungu. This study used a quantitative research approach with a pre-experimental type of research, namely a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study consisted of 24 students in the third grade of SD N Sriwungu with a saturated sampling technique, namely all members of the population in that class were used as research samples. Data collection was conducted through tests (pre-test and post-test) and learning outcome questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 27.0 through validity testing, reliability testing, Shapiro-Wilk normality testing, and hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample t-test. The results of the study show that the average pretest score of the students was 36.62. After the learning process, the average posttest score increased to 57.70. The normality test results show that the data is normally distributed with a significance value of 0.153 for the pretest and 0.184 for the posttest (>0.05). The hypothesis testing results using the Paired Sample t-test showed a significance value (2-tailed) <0.001 (<0.05), so H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. This shows that the use of the Talking Stick model assisted by Smart Box media has a significant effect on improving the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD N Sriwungu. Thus, the Talking Stick model combined with Smart Box media can be an effective learning alternative to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at SDN Sekaran 01. Initial observations indicate that some students have difficulty understanding the content of the reading, finding important information, and drawing conclusions from the texts they read. This condition is thought to be related to the learning process which is still dominated by lecture methods and has not been supported by the use of interesting and contextual learning media. As a result, student engagement in reading literacy activities is still not optimal. Therefore, innovative learning media are needed that can increase student interest and participation in reading activities. This study aims to develop a digital flipbook media based on Semarang local wisdom, determine the level of feasibility of the developed media, and test its effectiveness in improving elementary school students' reading comprehension skills. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were fourth-grade students of SDN Sekaran 01 in the 025/2026 academic year. The results of the study indicate that the digital flipbook media based on Semarang local wisdom has a very good level of feasibility. This is demonstrated by the validation results from material experts (93.8%) and media experts (93%), thus categorizing the theory as highly suitable for use in learning. Furthermore, the effectiveness test results indicated an increase in skills through the N-Gain test of 0.4957, which falls into the moderate category. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Semarang local wisdom digital flipbook has a high level of suitability and is quite effective in improving elementary school students' reading comprehension skills. In addition to supporting improved reading comprehension, this media also plays a role in introducing and instilling local wisdom values ​​in students through a more contextual and meaningful learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of digital technology integration in Indonesian for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) textbooks published by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) using the SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition) framework. A qualitative descriptive method was applied to seven levels of BIPA textbooks (Teaching materials 1 to teaching materials 7). Data were collected through document analysis of all units in each textbook, and analyzed by identifying and classifying technology-related activities into the four SAMR levels. Results indicate that the majority of BIPA textbooks remain at the Substitution level, with audio replacing conventional dialogue texts as the dominant pattern. Some books reach the Augmentation level through internet-based supplementary references, and the Modification level through access to electronic media and online applications. Only teaching materials 6 and teaching materials 7 achieved the Redefinition level, through the use of the MYOB accounting application and video recording tasks for digital platforms. This study concludes that technology integration in Kemendikbud's BIPA textbooks remains predominantly substitutive and needs to be elevated to a transformative level to support more authentic language competencies relevant to the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of gratitude journals on self-acceptance among female adolescents with negative body image at SMA Negeri 5 Makassar. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group, involving 10 subjects in the experimental group who received intervention for 14 days and 10 subjects in the control group who did not receive intervention. Data were collected using Berger's self-acceptance scale and Thomas F. Cash's Multidimensional Body Self Relations Questionnaire-Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS) for body image. Data analysis was performed using paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests. The results showed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores in the experimental group (p = 0.002 < 0.05) with an average score increase from 67.30 to 78.00. In addition, the results of the independent sample t-test showed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the post-test (p = 0.027 < 0.05), where the average score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group. These findings indicate that gratitude journals have a positive effect on the self-acceptance of adolescent girls with negative body image.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the structure and linguistic rules of explanatory texts containing the social phenomenon of bullying prevention on the detik.com page, detikEdu subchannel, and examine its potential as an alternative learning resource for high school students. The research is limited to news texts with the theme of bullying prevention published in November 2025. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data sources in the form of twelve news texts. Data collection techniques are carried out through recording and literature study techniques, while data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that all news texts analyzed are in accordance with the structure of explanatory texts, namely general statements, explanatory sequences, and interpretations. In addition, these texts also fulfill the linguistic rules of explanatory texts, such as the use of causal and temporal conjunctions, technical terms, and mental verbs. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that news texts on the detik.com page, detikEdu subchannel, have the potential to be used as learning resources for explanatory texts that are actual, contextual, and relevant for high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how al-Ghazali's educational concepts can offer solutions to the current moral and spiritual crises confronting today's generation. This research employs a qualitative approach through a literature review, analyzing al-Ghazali's works along with contemporary literature on Islamic education. The indings indicate that al-Ghazali places morality and spirituality at the core of the educational process. He emphasizes the importance of self-purification and character formation as the foundational elements in educating individuals. This perspective is highly relevant in the face of modern challenges, where technological advancement and the flow of information are often not accompanied by ethical and spiritual values. al-Ghazali's educational philosophy strengthens the integration of scientific knowledge and religious values, equipping learners with noble character and moral clarity to navigate modern life without losing their ethical direction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi peningkatan disiplin siswa melalui pola pendidikan pengasuh di Pesantren Baiturrahmat, Ungaran Barat, Kabupaten Semarang, serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam penerapan strategi tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif untuk menjelaskan fenomena dan realitas sosial yang terjadi di lingkungan penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman, yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari pengasuh, pengelola, dan siswa di Pesantren Baiturrahmat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa disiplin siswa dibentuk melalui teladan pengasuh sebagai tokoh sentral dalam pendidikan pesantren. Strategi yang diterapkan meliputi teladan, pembiasaan kegiatan keagamaan, penerapan peraturan dan sanksi pendidikan, pemberian nasihat, dan pengawasan yang dilakukan oleh pengelola. Nilai-nilai utama yang ditanamkan adalah nilai tauhid (monoteisme) dan istiqomah (konsistensi) melalui ibadah berjamaah dan kegiatan sehari-hari siswa. Keberhasilan strategi-strategi ini didukung oleh latar belakang siswa yang homogen, sementara hambatan utama muncul dari penggunaan media sosial yang berlebihan.
