Abstract

This research examines the cognitive development of early childhood through puzzle games at Pertiwi Indralaya Kindergarten. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research involved participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation analysis. Four children aged 4-6 years with different levels of cognitive development were observed for six weeks. The results showed significant improvements in cognitive aspects such as problem solving, spatial understanding, classification, and creativity. Children who were initially “Best Developing” (MB) showed great improvements in perseverance, problem-solving strategies, and classification abilities. Meanwhile, children who were initially “Best Developing” (BSB) developed high-level cognitive abilities. These findings support Piaget and Vygotsky's cognitive development theories, as well as previous research on the role of puzzle games in child development. This research concludes that puzzle games are an effective method for stimulating and improving various aspects of early childhood cognitive development.

Abstract

Language development is an important aspect for children's lives, especially in the era of global communication which uses language as a communication medium. This research aims to examine the role of teachers and schools in supporting children's language development. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through observation and analysis of the learning process at the IT Menarah Fitrah Indralaya Kindergarten in April-May 2024. The results of the research show that teachers and schools have a very important role in children's language development through various ways, such as being a model for good language use, provide language stimulation, create a language-rich environment, and provide direct instruction in language skills. Schools also provide a structured curriculum, trained teachers, access to resources, multilingual programs, and extracurricular activities that support children's language development. This research emphasizes the important role of teachers and schools in creating a conducive environment for children's language development from an early age

Abstract

Early childhood cognitive development is an important aspect of education that influences children's future intellectual and emotional abilities. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method which aims to provide an in-depth picture of early childhood cognitive development strategies at the Al-Ittifaqiah Islamic Kindergarten. This approach was chosen because it allows to explore and understand complex phenomena contextually and in detail. Early childhood cognitive development strategies at Al-Ittifaqiah Islamic Kindergarten emphasize a holistic approach that combines Islamic values ​​with modern learning methods. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the cognitive development strategies implemented at the Al-Ittifaqiah Islamic Kindergarten.

Abstract

This research is entitled efforts to develop early childhood language through audio-visual media. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the object of research being 29 students at KB Rara whose address is Payakabung Village. This research uses primary data obtained through observation and interviews. The research results stated that after using audio-visual media in the learning process, children's language skills increased. Apart from that, the table also shows the results regarding the categories of children's language development in KB Rara, namely BB (Not Yet Developing) at 0%, MB (Starting to Develop) at 0%, BSH (Developing According to Expectations) at 82.8%, and BSB ( Developing Very Well) as much as 17.2%. Thus, it can be concluded that using audio-visual media learning methods in children's learning activities can improve children's language skills.

Abstract

This research discusses strategies for early childhood language development according to Vygotsky. The aim of this research is to determine language development according to Vygotsky at Pertiwi Indralaya Kindergarten and the implications of learning strategies on children's language development. The research subjects were 20 children in Class A of Pertiwi Indralaya Kindergarten. The research results explained that 2 children experienced speech delays. Based on this, there is a strategy to improve children's language in the form of introducing new words by arranging letters and also recognizing words by simulating pictures.

Abstract

Creative and innovative learning planning is a fundamental component in early childhood education to optimize the development and potential of children. This study aims to analyze the implementation of creative and innovative learning planning in early childhood education (PAUD) and its impact on children's development. This research uses a qualitative method with a field approach conducted at PAUD Rara, Payakabung Village, North Indralaya District. The research subjects consist of 16 children from Class B and one class teacher. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, with data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model. The results show that the implementation of creative and innovative learning planning achieved an average success rate of 81.67%. This success is reflected in the increased active participation of children (90%), creativity of children (82%), and effectiveness of the use of learning media (80%). The study also identifies three main factors supporting the successful implementation: teacher competence, availability of facilities and infrastructure, and parental support.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan penerapan pengembangan keterampilan sosial-emosional anak dalam kurikulum Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) di RA Al Furqon Prabumulih. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif untuk menganalisis proses pembelajaran, interaksi antara guru dan anak, serta berbagai faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam implementasi kurikulum. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurikulum di RA Al Furqon dirancang untuk mendukung pengembangan keterampilan sosial-emosional anak melalui kegiatan bermain, pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman, dan pendekatan individual. Interaksi antara guru dan anak dilakukan secara aktif dengan pendekatan yang hangat dan mendukung, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Faktor pendukung penerapan kurikulum meliputi ketersediaan sumber daya pendidikan, kompetensi guru, dan dukungan orang tua. Namun, beberapa faktor penghambat ditemukan, seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan tantangan dalam mengelola perbedaan karakteristik anak. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan penting tentang strategi efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan sosial-emosional anak di RA Al Furqon serta implikasinya untuk pengembangan kurikulum PAUD secara lebih luas.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at the IT Tower Fitrah Kindergarten in an effort to support the development of aspects of early childhood development. The Merdeka Curriculum, which is designed to provide flexibility to educators in designing learning based on children's potential, needs and interests, has been implemented at the Tower Fitrah IT Kindergarten since the 2024 school year. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was obtained through interviews with teachers, observation of learning activities, and curriculum program documentation.The research results show that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at the Tower Fitrah IT Kindergarten has been implemented through various strategies, such as integrating project-based learning, using innovative learning media, and strengthening parental involvement in the learning process. Apart from that, a personal approach to each child can increase children's learning motivation, creativity and social skills. However, several challenges were also identified, including a lack of in-depth teacher training regarding the Independent Curriculum and limited learning support facilities.This research concludes that the Merdeka Curriculum has had a positive impact on the development of early childhood at the IT Tower Fitrah Kindergarten, however, it is necessary to strengthen the aspects of teacher training and provide supporting facilities to optimize implementation. The recommendation of this research is to increase collaboration between schools, parents and the government to support the continued implementation of the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

Montessori based learning strategies play a crucial role in fostering independence, creativity, and holistic development in early childhood education. The Montessori approach, introduced by Maria Montessori, emphasizes a specially designed learning environment to support children’s natural abilities and developmental stages. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Montessori-based learning strategies in early childhood education in Indonesia, focusing on practical and theoretical aspects. This qualitative research employed a field research approach conducted at Alfath Daycare, an Islamic childcare center. Data collection techniques included direct observation, in-depth interviews with educators and administrators, and documentation analysis. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the Montessori strategy significantly contributes to the holistic development of children, particularly in aspects of independence, social skills, and cognitive abilities. Each child’s unique developmental pace is accommodated within this method, which prioritizes tailored learning experiences over standardized approaches. The study highlights the importance of the educator’s role and the learning environment in implementing Montessori principles effectively, alongside identifying challenges such as maintaining consistency in method application and addressing individual needs.
