Abstract

The study aims to analyze the level of Burnout of adolescent martial arts athletes aged 10 and 15 years. This type of research is quantitative with a comparative design. Participants in the study were 10 and 15 year old pencak silat teenage athletes totaling 40 people consisting of 27 women and 13 men. The instrument used is ABQ (Athlete Burnout Questionnaire) which has 3 items, namely: emotional-physical fatigue, reduced sense of achievement, and devaluation of sports by filling out a Likert scale. The research design uses descriptive analysis and T-test. The results showed that there was an effect of Burnout on 3 sports items in adolescent martial arts athletes aged 10 and 15 years with the value of emotional-physical fatigue Sig. 0.022 <0.05 and there is an average difference between age 10 and age 15 which is 18.47%. For the variable reduced sense of achievement the value of Sig. 0.048 <0.05 there is an average difference between ages 10 and 15 years, namely 10.36%. In sports devaluation, the Sig. 0.612 > 0.05 there is an average difference between ages 10 and 15 years, namely 22.91%. Implementation of the results of data analysis is expected to compare the level of Burnout in adolescent martial arts athletes.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a medium for practicing (hitting) the game of Softball. The method used is research and development (R&D). Data collection techniques: (1) Observation, (2) Interview. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics with a Likert scale. The population in this study was 30 people, 10 small-scale test athletes, and 20 large-scale athletes. The ball dropper media development was validated by 3 experts, 1 sports expert, 1 electrical expert, and 1 media expert. The percentage of validation is 92, %, 84%, and 88%. The results of the research of respondents from a small trial involving 10 people, showed that the ball dropper media showed a figure of 75.33% which means it is still in the feasible stage and still needs to be improved, followed by a large test involving 20 people, the percentage is 93.06%. This research concludes that the development of Ball dropper media as a media for hitting practice in softball games is considered very feasible to help practice hitting in softball games.

Abstract

Students need various social support to maintain emotional stability while participating in learning. Directions and forms of social support from teachers and colleagues help students be more expressive in participating in learning. This study examines the effect of social support on student learning outcomes using a quantitative method with a correlational design. Respondents were 41 grade 8 junior high school students who were determined using a purposive sampling technique. The Teacher and Classmate Support Scale were used to collecting data on social support and documentation of PJOK scores for the odd semester of 2022/2023 as data on student learning outcomes. Data were analyzed descriptively and through simple linear regression analysis. The study proved that teacher and peer support partially or simultaneously affected student learning outcomes. The determination value of peer support is greater than that of teacher support. Overall, social support contributes 18.1% to student learning outcomes. Students need teacher support in fair treatment, always willing when students ask for help, not comparing the performance of fellow students, and being friendly and kind to students with various conditions. Likewise, the presence of colleagues who care for each other, enjoy togetherness, help each other in difficulties, social acceptance, and empathize with others.

Abstract

The two-handed catch method is currently needed in training as part of the slamming or dropping technique, because of this this study aims to develop a two-handed catch training method in pencak silat based on indicators of comfort, effectiveness, convenience, accuracy, and feasibility as a source of student practice. PRSH Boyolali. The approach used in this research is R&D (Research & Development). The data obtained in this study were processed using quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques (mix method). Based on data analysis in this study, the results for convenience were 4.5883 and 17.6, indicators for effectiveness were 4.2667 and 22.25, indicators for convenience were 4.3333 and 13.8, indicators for accuracy were 4.8889 and 26.85 , and feasibility indicators of 4.6667 and 9.15. The total indicator seen from the results of experts and students obtained an average value of 4.5477 and 4.4825. Based on the results of these average scores, a score in the "Very Good" category is obtained and is suitable for use in training as a two-handed catch exercise at PRSH Boyolali. The limitation in developing the two-handed catch training method in pancake silat include the time that cannot be determined, so that in the process it tends to follow the abilities of the students. This research is expected to make it easier for trainers to carry out the training process and to know the students’ process in doing two-handed catches, so that it is useful for students, trainers, as well as for training. With the limitations and contributions of these studies, further research is needed to optimize this research in the future regarding improving students’ abilities using the two-handed catch method.

Abstract

Athletes are individuals who focus on the world of sports according to their sport. Handball requires athletes to perform repetitive high-intensity activities in running, attacking and defending tactics, interspersed with periods of low intensity and/or rest. Physical fitness as a benchmark for coaches to determine what athletes need to be prepared for. There are several elements that can be seen by changes in the athlete's physical condition through anthropometric characteristics, for example, fat-free mass. The main objective of this study was to assess changes in anthropometric body composition, namely, lean body mass in female handball athletes within 2 months and ensure that this predictor can contribute to sports success. The samples involved were 12 female handball athletes. The instrument used to measure body composition is the Seca mBCA 514 Medical Body Composition Analyzer. The results of this study were that lean body mass increased from the first month to the second month with p = 0.01. The average pre-test fat-free mass in women's handball athletes was 39.92 kg, while the post-test fat-free mass in women's handball athletes was 40.67 kg. The average difference between the two is 0.75 kg. This increase in fat-free mass is in accordance with the theory that has been explained, that the greater the fat-free mass in an individual, the greater the quantity of muscle mass as well. This study shows data through pre-test-treatment-post test treatment on female handball athletes. Changes in anthropometry, body composition, and physical fitness are some of the predictors of successful sports achievements in a competition.

Abstract

Fatigue Index: means the rate at which power output declines for an athlete, which can provide information about the athlete's anaerobic capacity. This study aims to better understand the physical performance and fatigue index of athletes in Swadaya Bhayangkara volleyball after a match. This study analyzes the effects of acute fatigue from a mock match on physical performance variables among volleyball players. The research method is descriptive by observing, testing, and measuring, where the subjects are ten male volleyball players (age: 17.9 years; height: 175.5cm; weight: 61.4 kg). The fatigue index instrument is Repeat Sprint Ability (RSA) test. The measurement results obtained that one athlete had an excellent category of fatigue index, one athlete had a good category, average categories belonged to four athletes, and Poor categories belonged to four athletes. As a result, the Fatigue Index of Athlete Swadaya Bhayangkara volleyball has an average category.
