Abstract

Internasionalisasi pendidikan tinggi telah menjadi fenomena global yang signifikan dalam dua dekade terakhir. Namun, konsep ini menimbulkan dualisme persepsi di kalangan akademisi dan pembuat kebijakan. Di satu sisi, internasionalisasi dipandang sebagai strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan melalui pertukaran pengetahuan, kolaborasi penelitian internasional, dan pengembangan kompetensi global mahasiswa. Di sisi lain, fenomena ini dikritik sebagai bentuk komersialisasi pendidikan yang mengutamakan keuntungan ekonomi daripada tujuan pendidikan substantif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tinjauan literatur konseptual dan analisis kebijakan untuk mengkaji secara kritis dinamika internasionalisasi pendidikan tinggi. Data dikumpulkan dari jurnal akademik, buku ilmiah, dan dokumen kebijakan internasional yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2020 hingga 2026. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internasionalisasi pendidikan memberikan dampak positif berupa peningkatan standar akademik, pengembangan kurikulum berbasis global, peningkatan kompetensi lintas budaya, dan penguatan kualitas penelitian melalui kolaborasi internasional. Namun, implementasinya juga menimbulkan tantangan serius termasuk komersialisasi pendidikan, ketimpangan akses bagi mahasiswa dari latar belakang ekonomi kurang mampu, fenomena brain drain, dominasi kurikulum Barat, dan ketergantungan institusional terhadap negara maju. Negara berkembang seperti Indonesia menghadapi kendala struktural berupa keterbatasan sumber daya, kemampuan bahasa asing yang rendah, dan kesenjangan kualitas antarperguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa internasionalisasi pendidikan harus dikelola melalui kerangka kebijakan yang seimbang yang memprioritaskan peningkatan mutu akademik, keadilan akses, pelestarian nilai lokal, dan kemandirian institusional, bukan semata-mata orientasi keuntungan ekonomi.

Abstract

This article critically examines the policy dynamics and implementation of International Standard Schools (SBI) and their subsequent transformation into Partnership Education Units (SPK) in Indonesia, with a specific focus on the tension between educational quality enhancement and access inequality. Employing a qualitative research design, this study utilizes comprehensive policy document analysis alongside a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed academic publications from 2020 to 2026. The findings reveal that integrating international curricula, advancing pedagogical teacher competencies, and adopting English as a medium of instruction significantly improve instructional quality and students’ global readiness. Conversely, the implementation faces substantial criticism due to prohibitively high operational costs, urban-centric institutional distribution, and selective admission mechanisms, which collectively risk exacerbating socioeconomic stratification within the national education system. The analysis indicates that the regulatory transition from SBI to SPK reflects a deliberate governmental recalibration aimed at balancing global educational benchmarks with constitutional mandates for equity. This study concludes that optimizing international standard education necessitates inclusive policy interventions, including means-tested financial assistance, targeted infrastructure and teacher development in underserved regions, and rigorous financial transparency mechanisms. Ultimately, implementing these strategic measures can position international standards as effective catalysts for a more inclusive, high-quality, and sustainable national education transformation.

Abstract

This study developed a learning video for the Draping course as a solution to the problem of learning media that is still limited to jobsheets, students' difficulties in understanding jobsheets without clear visuals, limited lecture hours, and students also still experience difficulties in making Draping illustrations in the Draping course. This study aims to produce a learning video media tutorial Draping illustrations and describe its validity and practicality for Fashion Design students of the Department of IKK FPP UNP. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop), without the Disseminate stage. The research subjects validator consisted of four experts, namely 2 media experts and 2 material experts, lecturers teaching praktikalita the Draping course, 10 students praktikalitas in small group trials, and 30 students praktikalitas in large group trials. The instrument was a validation and practicality questionnaire with a Likert scale assessment. The results of the media validation obtained a score of 94% and 90% for material experts, with an average of 92% in the very valid category. The practicality test for the lecturer reached 91%, the small group 87%, and the large group 89%, with an average of 90% in the very practical category. Thus, this video learning medium is declared very valid, very practical, and suitable for use in Draping lectures.

Abstract

English proficiency is a crucial skill in the era of globalization, yet high school students often face challenges in actively practicing the language. This study examines the implementation and effectiveness of the "One Day in English" program at SMAN 1 Sidrap. The program adopts an immersive learning approach where students are required to use English throughout the day in various interactive activities. These activities include group discussions, presentations, daily conversations, and games aimed at enhancing both oral and written communication skills.Using observational methods and pre-and post-program assessments, the study evaluates improvements in students' English language abilities. The findings reveal significant progress in speaking fluency, vocabulary comprehension, and overall confidence in using English. Moreover, the interactive nature of the program fostered active student participation and created a supportive learning environment.This research highlights the potential of immersive learning strategies in addressing barriers to effective English learning. It offers a practical framework for schools to adopt similar programs to enrich language learning experiences and build students’ confidence in real-world communication.

Abstract

Vocabulary is a fundamental aspect of language proficiency, serving as a critical foundation for communication, comprehension, and academic success. However, many vocational high school students face challenges in mastering English vocabulary due to teaching methods that often overlook individual differences in learning needs and abilities. This study explores the implementation of the "Learning Vocabulary" program, designed as part of a teaching assistance initiative at SMKN 3 Parepare, to improve students' vocabulary mastery through personalized and game-based learning methods.The program integrates weekly vocabulary activities involving nouns, adverbs, verbs, and adjectives, utilizing interactive games such as Word Guessing Game, Memory Match, Scrabble, and Role-Playing. These methods aim to foster student motivation and active engagement while addressing individual needs. Data were collected through vocabulary tests, observations, and interviews, and analyzed descriptively.The results reveal significant improvements in students' vocabulary mastery and motivation, highlighting the effectiveness of games-based learning in creating a fun and interactive learning environment. Challenges, including initial resistance to new methods, were addressed through consistent implementation and student adaptation. This study concludes that the "Learning Vocabulary" program, with its focus on individualized and engaging activities, is an effective model for enhancing vocabulary learning in vocational schools.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of teaching assistance programs in improving the learning motivation of twelfth-grade students in English Literature at SMAN 9 Toraja Utara. The program, part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) initiative, involves university students assisting teaching activities in schools to support literacy, numeracy, technology adaptation, and administrative tasks. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation over four months. The findings reveal that the teaching assistance program significantly enhances students' interest and enthusiasm in learning. The use of creative methods, such as learning through games and providing rewards, has proven effective in fostering a positive classroom environment and improving academic engagement. Furthermore, the program allows university students to develop essential skills, including leadership, collaboration, and empathy, while contributing to the improvement of teaching quality in schools. This research highlights the importance of innovative educational strategies to support student motivation and academic achievement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode role playing dan presentasi terhadap kemampuan berbicara siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 14 Batarang Kecamatan Maiwa Kabupaten Enrekang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Variable bebas dalam peneliatian ini yaitu metode role playing (X1) dan metode presentasi (X2), sedangkan variable terikat yaitu kemampuan berbicara (Y). Subjek penelitian berjumlah 10 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan berbicara yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji-t (paired sample t-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada kemampuan berbicara siswa setelah diterapkan metode role playing, metode presentasi, maupun gabungan keduanya. Rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 49,80 meningkat menjadi 78,70 setelah role playing, menjadi 80,70 setelah presentasi, dan menjadi 84,00 setelah penggabungan metode. Uji-t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (Sig.) < 0,05 pada ketiga perlakuan, yang berarti bahwa perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan signifikan secara statistik. Gabungan metode role playing dan presentasi menghasilkan peningkatan tertinggi dan nilai yang lebih merata. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode role playing dan presentasi, baik secara terpisah maupun digabungkan, berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berbicara siswa. Kombinasi kedua metode dinilai paling efektif dalam membangun kepercayaan diri, ekspresi, dan kemampuan berbicara siswa secara sistematis.

Abstract

Aplikasi Fruit Carving berbasis Android berfungsi sebagai media pembelajaran dekorasi makanan, memberikan kesempatan bagi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Vokasional Seni Kuliner Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang untuk berinteraksi dengan materi pembelajaran melalui smartphone. Dengan penerapan metode drill and practice, aplikasi ini memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk berlatih teknik mengukir buah secara berulang-ulang, sehingga keterampilan mereka semakin terasah melalui latihan yang konsisten. Pendekatan pembelajaran ini tidak hanya memperbaiki kemampuan praktis mahasiswa, tetapi juga membentuk kebiasaan yang mengarah pada penguasaan keterampilan. Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu, kompetensi mahasiswa dalam mengukir buah sebagai dekorasi makanan meningkat, yang pada akhirnya berkontribusi pada pengembangan profesional mereka di bidang seni kuliner. Penelitian ini menyoroti potensi integrasi teknologi mobile dalam pendidikan vokasional, memberikan cara yang lebih mudah diakses dan fleksibel untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kompetensi mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of parents in increasing the level of responsibility among third-grade students toward reading and writing literacy activities at Sahabat Cendikia Islamic Elementary School, Ternate City. The research was motivated by the low interest in reading and writing habits among students, which negatively affects their basic literacy skills. Parents play a strategic role in shaping children’s habits and attitudes of responsibility toward literacy through habituation, mentoring, and motivation at home. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, questionnaires, and observations involving 25 parents of Grade III students. The findings reveal that most parents actively contribute to building students’ responsibility by allocating specific time for reading, establishing regular writing routines, assigning responsibility for book care, providing consistent motivation, and serving as positive role models in literacy activities. Consistent parental involvement has a significant positive influence on students’ completion of school literacy tasks. The study concludes that the success of literacy learning in primary schools is not determined solely by teachers but also requires active support from parents at home. Therefore, strengthening school-family collaboration is essential to create a conducive literacy-rich environment for students.
