Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the massed practice learning model and motor ability using moving target media on fencing martial art attack skills. The research method used was an experimental method with a pre-test and post-test two group design research design. The sample used as many as 20 people with sampling techniques using simple random sample techniques through the motor ability test (Barrow Motor Ability Test). The sample was divided into two groups, namely the high motor ability group and the low motor ability group, each group consisting of ten samples. The data collection technique was using a modified fencing attack skills test (Fencing Test). The data analysis techniques in this study used the two independent sample t-test statistics. The results of this study showed that there were significant differences in the effect of the application of the massed practice learning model using moving target media in the low motor ability group and the high motor ability group. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the application of the massed practice learning model by using mobile target media is very effectively applied to students who have high motor skills in improving attack skills in fencing martial arts.

Abstract

Module is an appropriate teaching materials and it is systematically designed according to a curriculum that can make students learn independently. The purpose of this research is to produce an identification module of F2 gene action on soybean plants based on discovery learning with stages (stimulation, problem statements, data collecting, data processing, and generalization). The research did on April 2019 in grade X of SMK 2 Batu. The development model used to produce the product is ADDIE. Data used in this research are quantitative and qualitative. The quantitative data are the results from the assessment given by the validator. The qualitative data are the criticisms, input and suggestions provided by media experts, material experts, and field practitioners validators. The result of the validation is an identification module for F2 gene action on soybean plants based on discovery learning that are attractive and good to use and disseminate.

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to know the validity and practicality of handout biology based on local potential of Ujong Blang beach. This study adapted the ADDIE model of research & development. The validity of handout is known from the experts’ validation score, while the practicality is known from the student's response. The results showed that the validation scores of media and material experts and practitioners had a high level of validity value (mean> 90) so that was categorized as highly valid. While the test readability by students also showed highly valid level of the handout validity Based on the results, it can be concluded that the biology handout based on local potential of Ujong Blang Beach developed more feasible to implement in class XI of SMK in the learning process to improve critical thinking skills, conceptual understanding, and environmental attitude.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the necessity of teaching materials in Bioprospection subject. This type of descriptive qualitative research with observation, questionnaire and test data collection techniques. Necessity analysis results 92% students had difficulty understanding Bioprospect material because the concept is difficult to apply (48%), complex material (24%), lack of teaching materials (20%). Students need teaching materials that are flexible, easy to understand, reliable, practical, and easy access. Preliminary test show cognitive learning outcomes score is 52, 4 (low) and critical thinking skills score is 48.2% (low). The conclusion is needed a module by research based on Problem-Based Learning that can improve critical thinking and cognitive learning outcomes of students in the Bioprospection subject.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe the thinking process of junior high school students in solving mathematical problems. The thought process that will be disclosed in this study includes receiving, processing, storing, and calling information. In this research, it refers to problem solving according to Polya. This type of research is descriptive research and uses a qualitative approach. The subjects chosen consisted of one person from class VIII. The conclusion of this study is that the subject understands the problem by receiving information from repeatedly reading the problem so that it correctly mentions the thing that is known and asked. The subject makes a completion plan by linking the selected formulas. In completing the subject using the plan he has made by linking the known, asked, and the formula he has chosen. The subject also rechecked the problem solving stage.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of motivation, discipline, adversity quotient and integrity toward teachers’ competency test (UKG) of physical education and sports teachers in Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru. The method used in this study was a comparative causal method. Data analysis was used to determine the effect of exogenous variables with endogenous variables and between variables using Path Analysis with statistical calculations using Lisrel 8.80. Research data were collected using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire from four existing exogenous variables, namely motivation (X1), discipline (X2), adversity quotient (X3), integrity (X4), and documentary analysis for endogenous variables resulting from teachers’ competency test (UKG) of physical education and sports teachers (Y). The result of this study is motivation, discipline, adversity quotient and integrity have a positive direct effect on teachers’ competency test (UKG) of physical education and sports teachers in Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the skills that must be possessed in the 21st century. Tools to measure students' thinking competencies can use assessment instruments. Based on the needs analysis, information was obtained that the use of assessment instruments for the junior high school level was still limited. The purpose of this study (1) to develop critical thinking assessment instruments in learning to read exposition texts along with usage guidelines and (2) test the level of validity, reliability, and practicality of the product. The model used is the development of O'Malley and Pierce. The results of product validation and testing show that the product developed is feasible and can be implemented. The data was obtained from the assessment and learning validator, and product tests on students.
